★ Charlize Theron let rip on a French TV show after a presenter planted a kiss on her surprised interpreter’s cheek without asking for permission during a very awkward interview. Theron looked more than a little shocked when the host greeted her assistant with a smooch. Theron, who was there to promote her new movie “Long Shot” with co-star Seth Rogen, scolded the presenter, saying “Maybe ask next time?” French fans quickly jumped on social media to applaud the actress for not letting the awkward moment pass and for standing up for her female interpreter, Nadia.

★ Actor Idris Elba and long-time girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre have officially tied the knot. The couple wed in an elegant ceremony in Marrakesh, Morocco. Elba and Dhowre, a model and former Miss Vancouver, had reportedly been dating since early 2017.

★ Shannen Doherty has officially signed on to reprise her role as the resident “Beverly Hills, 90210” sweetheart in the reboot, scheduled to air this summer. Doherty made the announcement on Friday, posting a photo of the cast — including the late Luke Perry — with the caption, “Yes it’s official. The real question is…. will we still be rocking those outfits?” Doherty is the last core “90210” cast member to sign onto the reboot. Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering will also appear.

★ Megan Fox is finally making her reconciliation with Brian Austin Green official. She has filed to dismiss their divorce case. She originally filed for divorce on August 21, 2015 after five-years of marriage and cited irreconcilable differences. The two stars then announced they were having a third child together, and ended up reconciling in 2016.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Taylor Swift — will open the Billboard Music Awards on May 1. She’ll perform her new song ‘ME!’ with Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie. That comes after Sam Smith was forced to cancel his performance because of vocal strain.
• Jay-Z — paid tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle while on stage in New York on Friday. He diverted from his usual set-list to perform a freestyle rap which paid tribute to the late rapper and activist, highlighting the change he was trying to bring to his neighbourhood.
• Spice Girls — Victoria Beckham will still be included in the Spice Girls tour merchandise, despite the fact that she is not part of the reunion. The singer-turned-fashion designer decided not to join her former bandmates for their tour which kicks off next month, but her face will still appear on some swag. There will also be up-to-date merchandise featuring the four current members without Beckham.
• Collective Soul – has released their new song ‘Right As Rain’ from their forthcoming album “Blood” (out on June 21st.) It features the slide guitar work of Sheryl Crow’s lead guitarist and musical director Peter Stroud.
• The Cranberries — are considering returning to the stage for a one-off show with guests filling in for late singer Dolores O’Riordan. She died in January, 2018. The rest of the Irish group vowed to put an end to the group after completing one final album, “In the End”, using previously recorded vocals, which they released on Friday.
• David Bowie — A collection of his demos, featuring nine previously unreleased tracks, comes out on June 28. “The Mercury Demos” was recorded live in one take in the late musician’s flat in 1969, and features Bowie singing and playing guitar and Stylophone.
• Gordon Lightfoot – reports that he has quit smoking at the age of 80 – “cigarettes, that is.” He says doing so has rekindled his relationship with songwriting, and he plans a full-length album release later this year or in early 2020. It will be his first in 15 years.
• Tim McGraw — closed out Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft by performing a massive outdoor concert in downtown Nashville on Friday night, treating fans to a 75-minute career-spanning set of his biggest hits. Dierks Bentley performed after the day’s picks on Saturday.
• Chris Stapleton – is featured on Pink’s new single, ‘Love Me Anyway’. This isn’t Stapleton’s first foray into the pop world. He is good friends with pop icon Justin Timberlake, and the two sang together on ‘Say Something’, which was on Timberlake’s latest album, “Man of the Woods”.
COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT:
It turns out that there is an upside to all that complaining you hear from your co-workers the minute the boss leaves the room. It shows you who your friends are. Patricia Sias, a communications professor at the University of Arizona who researches workplace friendships, says the moment when you realize you can openly complain about work with a co-worker is the moment at which you tip over into “friend” territory. Like all friendships which involve a shared trust, workplace friendships get more serious when co-workers feel free to “get real” and be honest with each other about the issues they are facing. Sure, unbridled negativity at work can result in poor morale, but having someone to confide in about workplace issues can also be a positive thing if it results in closer relationships with co-workers.
(And when it comes to ganging up on the boss!)
(But just remember that every office has a ‘Dwight Schrute’, who will be happy to report back to the boss!)

THE LAST THING YOU NEED:
Washington is looking to become the first state in the US to allow “natural organic reduction”, an alternative burial method that can turn a human body into compost in a matter of weeks. The Governor is expected to sign off soon on a bill which will give people the right to choose this method to dispose of their body. Recompose, a Seattle-based corporation, has been working with lawmakers and scientists in the hopes of providing the service. Their method of natural organic reduction essentially gives the natural process of decomposition a gentle boost. Bodies are put in a temperature-controlled rotating vessel along with some woodchips, straw, and gases. After the process is completed, a cubic yard of soil per person is left, which loved ones can then take home to grow a tree or a plant from, if they wish. Most people in the US are currently either buried or cremated after they pass away. But both methods come with downsides in terms of the environment. Burials take up a lot of space and run the risk of polluting groundwater with embalming fluid, and cremations can release carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming.
(Why is it that all I can picture when they describe that thing is a cement mixer?)

Handshakes in the workplace could become a thing of the past under new physical contact rules being considered in the U.K. Kate Palmer, an associate director of advisory at the HR consultancy firm Peninsula, says that employers in the U.K. may enact such a ban in order to avoid expensive sexual harassment suits. That follows a recent survey that found three in four workers want physical contact banned at work.
