OVERHEARD AT THE GRAMMYS:
• “At the MTV Awards the meth had more of a Sudafeddy feel.”
• “Mr Combs, could you please not shoot anyone until after the show?”
• “Didn’t you used to be Lionel Richie?”
• “Elton John wants to see Ricky Martin’s seat. And where he’s sitting too.”
• “I can’t remember, was Sisqo Milli or was he Vanilli?”
• “C’mon Madonna, other people have to use that microphone too.”
• “Yes, I used to be Meat Loaf. Now shall I park your car?”
• “Miss Love, could you please get out from underneath the band?”
• “Excuse me, Sir Elton — have you seen Miss Parton’s corset?”
• “We’ve got you surrounded! Drop the chainsaw and step away from the podium, Mr Mathers!”

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
TONIGHT The American Film Institute awards Barbra Streisand its 2001 “Life Achievement Award”, making her the first female director to receive the honor . . . Shania Twain is the celeb with the most FAKED nude photos on the Internet, according to the “Playboy” Website (they’re just bitter she turned down a nude spread in the mag) . . . ABC-TV has ordered up a 2nd season of reality show “The Mole” (they’ll keep making it until somebody watches!) . . . The hell-raising life of Rod Stewart will be the basis of a Broadway musical titled “Wake Up Maggie” . . . Actress Liv Tyler is reportedly getting hitched to rocker bf Royston Langdon, lead singer of Spacehog (because there’s no danger of his career overshadowing hers).

MOVIES IN THE MAKING:
Ricky Martin will make his bigscreen debut as a ‘heroic revolutionary’ in the political action thriller “The Assassination”, based on the 1961 assassination of Dominican Republic dictator Rafael Trujillo (make that ‘heroic revolutionary with cute tush’) . . . Tom Cruise’s ‘love interest’ in the upcoming Steven Spielberg sci-fi thriller “Minority Report” will be Brit actress Samantha Morton, who received a ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Oscar nom LAST YEAR for “Sweet & Lowdown” (she’ll win next year if she can convince us Tom likes girls) . . . And Courtney Love wants to star in a bio-film on suicide victim Paula Yates, the Brit TV host and former partner of INXS singer Michael Hutchence, who also off-ed himself (great idea, let’s make it a musical comedy!).

BULL TALES:
• A 23-year-old Manchester, England man has changed his name to ‘Reverend PlayStation 2′ after his girlfriend dumped him for ‘worshiping’ video games. Now he plans to erect a 15-foot ‘church’ in the backyard to house his games. (Then he plans to get a life.)
• An Austrian man wearing a blonde wig and fake boobs was caught trying to enter the “Blonde Women’s Skiing Championships”. According to the rules, brunettes and men are not allowed to participate unless they bleach their hair. (He was easy to spot — he was the only one who didn’t lay down by the ski jump.)
• A new theme park in Lithuania called ‘Stalinworld’ recreates a Soviet-era labor camp, complete with machine gun towers, gruel and screams of torture on hidden speakers. (Gosh! I wonder if I can still cancel my tickets to Barbados?)
