BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Mark Ruffalo has been tapped for a leading role in a new television spinoff of the Oscar-winning film “Parasite”. Sources say that director Bong Joon-Ho is teaming with Adam McKay on the new five-to-six episode series for HBO, and Ruffalo has emerged as a front-runner to star as one of the leads, although exact details of the character he’ll be playing have yet to be revealed.
-WENN
★ Gabrielle Union is reportedly planning to sue “America’s Got Talent” judge Simon Cowell for “endangering her life” by smoking on the set of the NBC talent show. Cowell is renowned for his smoking habit and has struggled to quit, after admitting to smoking up to 80 cigarettes a day in the past. Union was fired from the show in November after just one season, amid reports suggesting her departure was linked to concerns she had raised about a number of controversial incidents which took place behind the scenes, creating a “toxic” work atmosphere.
-Canoe
★ Emilio Estevez has written a TV show for his brother Charlie Sheen to star in. Estevez recently finished work on the new project and says he thinks it would be the perfect vehicle for his younger sibling to make his acting comeback after almost three years away from screens. Emilio and Charlie have worked together before, most famously on 1988 Billy the Kid Western “Young Guns” and on “Rated X”, which was released in 2000.

★ “Shazam!” star Zachary Levi and “Riverdale’s” Cole Sprouse have boarded the upcoming music-driven comedy “Undercover”. Levi will play a down-on-his-luck rocker-turned-father, who secretly joins a group of young musicians in a wedding cover band led by Sprouse. When things start looking up for the band, Levi’s character gets exposed. Production is set to begin in April.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Billie Eilish — says that her theme for the upcoming James Bond movie “No Time To Die” is a ballad – more or less. She confirmed that the song is “written” and “done” and when asked whether the track is likely to be “more of a ballad” or “a little faster”, she replied “I guess it’s a ballad”.
• Justin Bieber — revealed on his YouTube series that he has been battling Lyme disease. He opened up about his struggle with the illness, as well the Epstein-Barr virus, telling fans from a doctor’s office: “I’ve been struggling with my energy for quite some time now and I just haven’t known why.”
• Eminem — After his barnstorming performance at the Academy Awards ceremony, and two decades after his only starring role (“8 Mile”), he says he is still interested in acting. Quote: “I’m not gonna say I don’t [have interest], because if the right script comes along and it’s something that fits with my schedule, I might take another dive in it.”
• Aerosmith — Drummer Joey Kramer returned to action Monday night, appearing with the band at the latest installment of its Las Vegas residency. It appeared to mark the end of a disagreement that had led to a lawsuit, after the group reportedly refused to let him perform with them, alleging he wasn’t up to the job.
• Lindsey Buckingham – A year after suffering a heart attack, he has announced a brief solo tour. He’ll play Las Vegas on April 25, plus 11 more shows through May 13 in Cajon CA.
• Green Day — are bringing the “Hella Mega Tour” to Australia and New Zealand. The tour, with Weezer and Fall Out Boy, will begin in Perth on November 8, with stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before heading to New Zealand for gigs in Dunedin and Auckland. $1 from every ticket sold will go towards bushfire relief.
• Simple Plan – have teamed up with New Found Glory for the just-announced “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour”, kicking off in St. Petersburg, FL on May 29, and running through June 28 in Austin, TX.
• Sass Jordan – will release her first new album in over 10 years on March 13. “Rebel Moon Blues” will feature eight “diligently selected” blues covers — plus one original, ‘The Key’.
• Keith Urban – On Monday, he hosted the seventh annual “All for the Hall Nashville” at Bridgestone Arena. Urban led an all-star lineup of artists at the fundraiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s education programs. A total of over $800,000 was raised.
• Old Dominion – helped a pair of fans with their baby’s gender reveal from the stage recently. The parents-to-be created their gender reveal sign around the lyrics to the group’s song ‘Shoe Shopping’: “Help us reveal the gender of our baby so we can go ‘shoe shopping.’” It’s a boy. VIDEO

SNACK SNEAKING:
According to a new study, over half of adults are cheating on their partners – with food. A survey by OnePoll of 2,000 Americans in relationships found 71% make unhealthy choices behind their partner’s back and 55% have hidden food in their home from their partner. 7 in 10 actually lie to their partner about their unhealthy eating habits. Oh, and by the way, whether you are “food loyal” to your partner or not, 42% of us say that Valentine’s Day is a “cheat day” …when it comes to food.
(Of course I cheat. Or I’d never get any! Take that any way you like…)
(I’ve heard that everyone had a few secrets…Mine are in the garage!)

BRAINS, NOT BRA:
It seems that there is a growing trend among millennial women to go braless. New York City career coach Judith Gerberg says that letting it all hang out at work is becoming increasingly normal. She cites lenient workplace dress codes as one reason for the trend, and the fact that millennial women are much more self-confident than women used to be. Granted, with some outfits, a bra is pretty much a necessity, as is the case in certain work situations. The best advice from some women who have at least figuratively burned their bras is this: Read the room. Depending on where you work and who you might encounter in a typical workday, make your decision accordingly.
(And keep a spare in your desk?)
(Some might call this a disturbing trend. Others not so much…literally!)
(I think I just saved 50% on her Valentine’s gift!)

COUGHING UP SOME INFO:
It’s not unusual for kids to get a half-dozen colds per year — roughly twice as many as adults. And yes, a certain number of colds are inevitable, and even beneficial. But could daycare centers be re-designed to minimize the number of bugs that get passed around? That’s exactly what Monica Cojocaru, professor at the University of Guelph’s mathematics and statistics department, is looking into. She hopes to get a clear picture of “smart design” principles for daycares that will minimize hot-spot areas where germs build up. Prime suspect areas include bathrooms, which might be redesigned to encourage better handwashing practices, toy boxes, bookshelves and play areas with mats, especially those in the corners of rooms, where kids tend to congregate. In the meantime, while we wait on her study results, experts make these suggestions to minimize the spread of germs: Getting a flu shot, making your child aware of proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, and keeping them at home when they have a cold or flu.
(So they can look after their Manflu-stricken father?)

FAMOUS PEOPLE WHO NEVER MARRIED:

(Because tomorrow is also “Call in Single Day”…)
☞ Oprah Winfrey:  Though she and her partner, Stedman Graham, go back to 1986, she has said, “If we had married, we would not be together”. (Maybe she should have put a ring under Stedman’s chair!)
☞ Queen Elizabeth I:  In the 16th century, at the age of 8, she declared: “I will never marry.” And she didn’t. (I was sure that she was Prince Phillip’s first wife!)
☞ Jon Hamm:  Even during his 18-year relationship with Jennifer Westfeldt, he said: “I don’t have the marriage chip.” They broke up in 2015.
☞ Ludwig van Beethoven:  He was known for being shy and lonely, as well as short-tempered, greedy, and paranoid. (That could do it!)
☞ Ricky Gervais:  He’s been in a relationship with his partner, Jane Fallon, since 1982, but the pair has no plans to marry. He said: “We are married for all intents and purposes, everything’s shared, and actually our fake marriage has lasted longer than a real one.”
☞ Diane Keaton:  She said: “I’m aware of the fact that I’m unusual in that regard, and maybe I did miss out on something—but then, nobody can have everything, right? I’m not unhappy.”
☞ The Wright Brothers:  Neither of the notoriously shy pioneers of flight ever married. Wilbur Wright once said that he didn’t have time for a wife and an airplane.  (They never found the right sisters?)

DID YOU KNOW?

A British Airways flight has broken the record for the fastest-ever subsonic flight between New York and London, reaching a top speed of 825mph (1,327km/h). The Boeing 747 reached its destination in four hours and 56 minutes, as a result of jet stream winds of over 200 mph propelling the aircraft. The supercharged jet stream was also responsible for powering Storm Ciara, which brought damaging wind and massive waves to the UK other parts of Northern Europe. The plane landed at Heathrow airport almost two hours earlier than scheduled.

BS REASONS BEING SINGLE IS ACTUALLY THE BEST:
It’s that time of year, when everyone feels pressured to couple up in time for Valentines Day. Resist! Instead, use this as a time to revel in your singlehood. Just some of the advantages …
✓ Instead of spending money on Valentines Day, you can save it for more important things, like sandwiches and donuts.
✓ You only have one Netflix queue, and it’s filled with exactly what you want to watch.
✓ The whole bed is yours, and you can lie smack-dab in the middle of it … at 1 in the afternoon.
✓ You don’t have to share your food, which means the entire pizza can be yours. And you can order whatever you want on that pizza without having to consult someone first.
✓ A whole bottle of wine for dinner? No problem. No pants. No regrets.
✓ You don’t have to worry about drama, or stupid random arguments with a significant other.
✓ Don’t want to clean up after yourself? Don’t.
✓ You can totally make out with 4 different people in one night, no questions asked.
✓ You don’t have to work your schedule around someone else’s, so there’s no guilt if you want to take a spontaneous trip or just watch Netflix all day.
✓ Two words: No. In-laws.
