BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Kelly Osbourne has threatened to quit E! show “Fashion Police” over fallout about remarks made by her cast-mate Giuliana Rancic regarding 18-year-old actress Zendaya Coleman’s red carpet look at the Oscars. Rancic suggested Coleman reeked of marijuana because she wore dreadlocks. Coleman says that was disrespectful. Now it seems Osbourne, who’s a friend of Coleman’s, is unhappy with the backlash she’s receiving over Rancic’s remarks and wants to be left out of the controversy. (We say any show with a panel of women maliciously snipping about the appearance of other women does nothing to help the feminist cause.)
– TMZ.com
★ Wesley Snipes is heading back to the small-screen for his first big TV role in 25 years. The “Blade” actor will co-star in an NBC-TV pilot for the proposed crime thriller series “Endgame”, alongside Philip Winchester, who plays a former intelligence officer-turned-security expert who becomes drawn into a mysterious conspiracy in Las Vegas. Snipes was recently considered for the lead role in director Lee Daniels’ new hit TV show “Empire”, but that part eventually went to Terrence Howard. (Since completing jail time for income tax evasion in 2013, Snipes only work has been “The Expendables 3”.)
– WENN.com
★ And Reddit has changed its policy regarding its users posting nudity without consent. Since 2005, the social networking site has turned a blind eye to people posting links to photos and videos of naked people on its websites, including those infamous stolen photos of Hollywood celebs last year. But on March 10th, a new privacy policy takes effect that will ban the posting of explicit content without the permission of the person featured in it. Requests can be made to remove any ‘involuntary pornography’. (An odd term … like someone tripped and accidentally tore their clothes off while posing for a photo.)

COMING ATTRACTIONS:
A BS selection of movies in the making …
• “Electric Slide” – Patricia Arquette is following up her ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Oscar for “Boyhood” by playing a real-life bank robber’s former girlfriend. Jim Sturgess stars as Eddie Dodson, an elegant criminal who robbed 64 banks in only 9 months during the early 1980s. Also in the cast: Isabel Lucas, Chloe Sevigny, and French star Christopher Lambert.
• “Indiana Jones” – 35-year-old “Guardians Of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt admits it would be cool to play the swaggering archaeologist in Disney’s upcoming reboot of the adventure franchise but, contrary to rumors, no one’s asked him yet. Meantime, 68-year-old Steven Spielberg is said to be interested in returning to direct, but is said to be waiting to see the script.
• “The LEGO Movie 2” – Despite a snub by the Oscars, producers have hired director Rob Schrab (“Community”, “The Mindy Project”) for a sequel to the critically acclaimed animated movie. “The LEGO Movie” took almost $500 million worldwide on a budget of just $60 million. The sequel is pencilled in for 2018, a year after a ‘Batman’ LEGO feature hits screens.
• “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday” – 63-year-old Paul Reubens is returning as his eccentric kids’ character ‘Pee-wee Herman’ in a new Netflix feature film, the first standalone ‘Pee-wee’ feature since 1988’s “Big Top Pee-wee”. Reubens’ TV series, “Pee-wee’s Playhouse”, ran on CBS 1986-91. Judd Apatow is producing the new project. Shooting begins in March.
• “Sicario” – This thriller from Denis Villeneuve (“Prisoners”) stars Emily Blunt as an idealistic FBI agent enlisted by a government task force to take out a Mexican drug-cartel leader. The cast also includes Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Jon Bernthal (“The Walking Dead”) and Daniel Kaluuya (“Skins”). The film opens in theaters this September.

EAU DA SCHTINK:
Demeter Fragrance, known for making one-note scents that smell like pretty much anything you can think of, is introducing a new one … Baby’s Head. What’s it smell like? As any mom knows, a baby’s head has a combination of scents: Clean skin, a hint of Johnson & Johnson shampoo, and perhaps a dairy undertone. A lot of people identify with the fragrance, but would you want to dab it on? It seems Demeter’s mission is to catalogue every single scent that exists on this planet. Some of its previous fragrances have included: Clean Laundry, Cotton Candy, Crayon, Dirt, Gin & Tonic, Holy Water, Pizza, Rain, and … Spring Break. (The aroma of a wet T-shirt?)

HOW TO BE A GOOD GROWN-WOMAN BFF:
According to Necar Zadegan of Bravo-TV’s “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” …
✓ Offer your ear … and your shoulder. Even if your friend doesn’t take you up on it, let her know you’re there. Sometimes the offer is worth more than the act itself.
✓ Always build your BFF up. A true friend provides reassurance, whether it’s confirming how beautiful a BFF looks today or what a great mom she is every day.
✓ Share your secrets. You can’t really share your life with somebody without being honest with them. Revealing all your skeletons to someone is a sure sign of true friendship.
✓ Stick up for them all the time, period. That’s an important one.
✓ Be patient as your lives change and grow. You can’t have the same expectations of your friend at 42 as you did at 22. It may be more difficult to connect, but a good friend always will.
(Finish the sentence: “A true friend is someone who …”)
– “Glamour Magazine”

SOME SOBERING FACTS:
Love can make your head spin … but it can also sober you up if you’re drunk. A new study reveals that oxytocin, the so-called ‘love hormone’ that’s released during hugs and sex, can block alcohol from getting to the brain. In the joint study by Australia’s University of Sydney and Germany’s University of Regensburg, intoxicated lab rats hit with a dose of the ‘cuddle hormone’ ended up less drunk. It’s unclear why, but researchers say the biochemistry may become clearer once humans are tested. (Does this in any way explain your shock & horror when waking up next to a total troglodyte after a night out?)
