Sheet For Brains!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes will soon be relocating to NYC in time for her Broadway debut THIS FALL in “All My Sons”, thereby avoiding a bicoastal family split (as you know, you can never refer to Tom as ‘bi’) . . . Despite warnings, Jessica Simpson’s meddling dad Joe Simpson continues to interfere in her relationship with Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, now offering to ‘sell’ their engagement if there is one (there won’t be if Joe doesn’t blow) . . . “US Magazine” has begun a petition (NET: http://tinyurl.com/3mffol) to get actress Shannen Doherty (aka ‘Brenda Walsh’) on the new CW network “Beverly Hills 90210” spinoff (apparently forgetting that everyone hated her for most of the ‘90s) . . . “Juno” writer Diablo Cody and producer/director Steven Spielberg are teaming up for a Showtime comedy called “The United States of Tara”, about a mother with multiple personality disorder (brilliant, a different actress can play the role each week!) . . . “Sex & The City” co-star Kim Cattrall has joined the voice cast of the satirical cartoon series “Producing Parker”, which premieres on Canada’s E! channel NEXT YEAR, playing the self-absorbed, high-maintenance host of a daytime talk show (weird, she doesn’t look or sound like Oprah at all) . . . A new AOL poll ranks the pie-obsessed “Pushing Daisies” (ABC) as favorite new TV show of the past season, edging out “Gossip Girl” (CW) . . . And Brit-based hottie actress Sienna Miller (“Stardust”) has dumped her Welsh actor-boyfriend RHYS Ifans (“Elizabeth: The Golden Age”) because he was reportedly jealous about her seeing her ex-BF, “Brothers & Sisters” actor Matthew RHYS (she apparently hates learning new names to moan so “Tudors” star Jonathan RHYS Meyers should be getting a call any day now).

WEEKEND SHOW BIZ SKED:

Among the kudos being handed out: UK-born, Vancouver-raised “Sex & The City” actress Kim Cattrall receives the ‘NBC Universal Award of Distinction’, recognizing an ‘outstanding career in the broadcast industry’.
