BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ A load of memorabilia from “The Godfather” movie has gone missing off the back of a UPS truck. Officials are investigating the disappearance. Among the items said to be taken are limited-edition notebooks, signed by Francis Ford Coppola, which are replicas of the actual three-ring binder the director assembled for his adaptation of Mario Puzo’s mafia family saga. It also includes production notes from the 1972 film, index cards with notes from the famous wedding scene, pages from the actual script, and behind-the-scenes photographs. And now, copies of the alleged hot limited-edition notebook, which sell for $500, have started to pop up for sale on eBay.
(Yes, that’s an offer that you can’t refuse….someone had to say it…)

★ Kim Kardashian West is launching a children’s prank show. She gave her fans insight into the show’s concept on her Facebook page on Friday, saying, “It’s a prank series where the kids are in charge and celebrities must do everything their own children say”. Kardashian says that she knows from firsthand experience that children are wise beyond their years, “So imagine how funny it will be to see them make all the decisions.” Kardashian West will executive produce the 10-episode show, called “You Kiddin’ Me”.
(Are kids “wise beyond their years”, or wise beyond Kim?)

★ Tori Spelling returned to social media on Friday to wish her baby boy, Beau, a happy 1st birthday. The video comes a day after police were called to her family home in Woodland Hills, California, responding to a disturbance call. A source says that Spelling had a meltdown due to multiple stress factors that she’s currently dealing with. The source said that “Tori tries to be the best mom she can be, but with five children and terrible financial issues, her marriage has suffered tremendously.” In the post, Spelling can be heard saying, “Who’s one today?” as her husband, Dean McDermott, says in the background, “Hey buddy, happy birthday.”
-MSN
★ Although ‘Breaking Bad’ ended in 2013, creator Vince Gilligan is still asked about the series all the time. And of there is one thing that he’d love to go back and change if he had the chance, it would be Jesse’s teeth. According to Gilligan, “I’m really sorry Jesse’s teeth were so perfect. Aaron Paul’s teeth are so perfect, rather – Jesse Pinkman, the character, would get the living hell beaten out of him every week. And then he smoked a lot of meth, which is rough on your teeth!”
(If you asked Bryan Cranston, I’m pretty sure he’d change his tighty-whities!)
-ContactMusic
★ Armie Hammer’s wife is suing an alleged impersonator. Elizabeth Chambers claims that a Beverly Hills woman impersonated the actress to get a ticket to Vanity Fair’s exclusive Oscar after-party. In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Chambers accused Diana Roque Ellis, or someone working with her, of engaging in an elaborate scheme to gain admission to the invitation-only event.
(Does no one use scalpers anymore?)

★ Dolly Parton can’t wait to bring her larger than life ‘9 to 5′ character Doralee Rhodes back to the big screen. Rashida Jones is developing a revamp of the beloved 1980 comedy, and Parton will return, alongside her co-stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. In the film, their characters will advise a new generation of working women on how to deal with a sexist boss. As Parton put it when commenting on the oft-discussed project, “We better get after it. We’ll have to call it 95, not 9 to 5!”

• Taylor Swift – has announced that Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX will be joining her as support acts on the ‘Reputation’ stadium tour of North America this spring and summer.
• Lana Del Rey – joined two lucky fans who were singing a karaoke version of her hit ‘Cherry’. Midway through, the real Lana joined them onstage, and the three even launched into some choreography from her live shows. As she later Tweeted: “If you’re at my karaoke bar and you know my Choreo I will probably sing with you.”
• ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic – got together with Lin-Manuel Miranda, writer of the musical ‘Hamilton’, to collaborate on “The Hamilton Polka.” The hysterical tune, which crams all of Hamilton into a frenetic five-minute polka, is the latest installment in Miranda’s ongoing ‘Hamildrop’ series, where artists put their own spin on songs from his Broadway musical.
• Elton John – his beloved dog Arthur, who reportedly served as the best man at his 2014 wedding, has died at the age of 14. Elton made the announcement during his Vegas show on Friday night, then dedicated the song ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ to the late cocker spaniel.
• Cher – took to the streets of Sydney for the city’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, celebrating the nation’s passage of marriage equality legislation. Cher joined her doppelgangers on the float, and later mingled with fans and posed for photos.
• Journey – Their ‘Greatest Hits’ album has become only the third album to spend 500 weeks on the Billboard 200 in the chart’s 61-year history. It peaked at No. 10 in 1989.
• Stone Temple Pilots – began their first tour with new lead singer Jeff Gutt Friday night in Santa Clarita, Calif. The show featured a guest appearance by Johnny Depp, who sat in on ‘Sex Type Thing’ and a cover of the MC5’s ‘Kick Out the Jams’.
• Gord Downie – Dallas Green (City and Colour, Alexisonfire) and Sarah Harmer will team up to perform a tribute to him at this year’s Juno Awards March 25 in Vancouver.
• Tim McGraw – Tweeted his support for the new firearm sales policies of sporting-goods chain Dick’s, writing: “Thank you @Dicks for taking a stand to promote a meaningful discussion for the safety of our kids!” He tagged Walmart, Kroger and LL Bean.
• Brett Young – announced on social media last week that he proposed to his girlfriend, Taylor Mills. He wrote on Instagram that “She said yes!”, alongside pictures of the happy couple sharing a kiss and a close up of her engagement ring.

OUR EYES ARE SEALED:
It’s a simple question, but one that you probably have never thought about. Why do we close our eyes when we kiss? Well, wonder no more. Psychologists Polly Dalton and Sandra Murphy did a study on the common kissing practice for the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance. The simple answer: So we don’t get distracted. The study concluded that the brain struggles to focus on other senses if it’s being visually stimulated. If you kept your eyes open while kissing, your vision would prevent your brain from focusing on how the kiss feels, which would prevent you from fully enjoying the kiss. Closing your eyes while kissing keeps your other senses are heightened, resulting in a lip-lock that allows you to enjoy all of the sensations your body feels.
(Plus, who wants to see MY face that close up?)
(So when Grandma comes in for that big Christmas smooch, open those baby blues as WIDE as you can!!)
(Baby, it feels like we’re the only two people on…oh look! Something shiny!)
(You would too if you kissed some of the people I’VE kissed!)

NICE PROBLEM TO HAVE:
Last week was an expensive one for some of the world’s richest people. The world’s 500 richest people lost a combined $107 billion as The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid about 3.5 percent. Some underpaid dude with a calculator figured out that with the tumbling stock market, Facebook head Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth dropped by $3.7 billion. Warren Buffet? 3.74 billion.
(Thing is, there was a similar story that went around in early February, and these guys are STILL the world’s richest people!)
(Now when people say that you’d think Zuckerberg could afford to dress better than that, they might be wrong!)

BACK IN BLACKBERRY:
Remember the Blackberry? In a matter of a few years it went from the ‘it’ handheld device, to the one that all but the most strict adherents to the ‘physical keyboard’ looked down their noses at, to…nothing. You never see them anymore. But they are out there. In fact, Blackberry is doing very well, thank you very much. A year ago, they launched ‘Keyone’, the latest ‘Crackberry’ to feature a physical keyboard. And while the company (or rather TCL, which licences the name for use on phones) is fully aware that it will never compete with the ‘Big 2′ (Apple and Samsung) again, they are happy to have a couple phones (including the full-touch Blackberry Motion) which have scored a 3-5% share in the ‘premium’ smartphone category. According to Global General Manager, Francois Mahieu, that’s a pretty good place to be. He says, “We will be firmly staying in a premium category, innovating around keyboards, materials and areas to show people we’re here to stay.” And It’s not just the BlackBerry faithful who are buying the handsets. The firm claims that 50% of sales are to people coming from Android or iOS devices. And one of the old ribs on Blackberry doesn’t stand anymore. You can get all the apps your want…because the new Blackberrys run on Android.
(Blackberry? Nostalgia has finally reached the tech crowd!)

CUTE TIPS:
Research shows that 76% of us are still using cotton swabs to root around in our ears and remove earwax. You’ve probably heard it before, but that’s not a good idea. The thing is, by shoving that Q-Tip in there, you could actually be pushing the wax even further into the ear canal and causing the wax to become compacted, which can result in way worse problems, such as hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo. Using them can also contribute to ear infections. According to a new study, one in five of us who swabs our ears does so weekly, and 22% use swabs up to 14 times a week! 10% of users admit that they actually enjoy seeing the collection of wax that is removed. And 35% of people wrongly believe the intended use of a cotton swab is for removing earwax or cleaning or itching the ears.
(Dummies! Now then….what ARE they for?)
(The risk for infection is even higher if you share!)
(In my mind, you are safe as long as you don’t stick it in there so far that you see a test-pattern!)

“I KNOW IT SOUNDS WEIRD, BUT JUST TRY IT” LIFE HACKS:
(Which may or may not work, as supplied by Redditors)
➠ If you always second-guess whether you locked the door or turned the oven off, say the action out loud while you do it. (Note: only do this at home…or you may find YOURSELF locked up…)
➠ Open a bag of chips upside down — all the flavor is chillin’ at the bottom.
➠ Wet your pizza before reheating it in the microwave so the crust doesn’t get chewy. (Or eat it cold!)
➠ When you’re congested, push your tongue against the roof of your mouth and the bottom of your palm against your forehead to clear your sinuses. (Also helps with brain-freeze!)
➠ After a shot of vodka, sniff a loaf of bread to ease the burn. (I’m sure your bartender has one handy!)
➠ Add a pinch of salt in your coffee to cut the bitterness.
➠ If your hands are raw and need some TLC, stick ’em inside a bag of uncooked rice. (You also may find that phone that you dropped in the toilet 3 years ago!)
➠ Take a sip of water before you put the pill in your mouth. (That’s probably from the kind of person who wets their toothbrush before applying toothpaste!)
