Another Sheetload of Bull!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Harrison Ford is the real-life Han Solo/Indiana Jones/every action hero he’s ever played on camera … because he just helped a woman who ran her car off a highway. Ford was on the scene of a crash late Sunday morning in Santa Paula CA, where a woman accidentally drove her car off the road.  Ford pulled over and rushed to the woman’s aid, as did other bystanders, to get her safely out of the vehicle while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

★ David Cassidy is reportedly out of his coma, but remains in intensive care. The actor was rushed to hospital last week after suffering from liver and kidney failure, and while he was placed into a medically induced coma upon admission to the hospital, he is now apparently conscious.  His publicist has said that nothing is “imminent”.  Cassidy announced earlier this year that he was ending his career because he is dealing with dementia.

★ Jeffrey Tambor is quitting the show “Transparent” — which he has starred in for four  years — after sexual harassment allegations were made against him. Tambor released a statement on Sunday saying playing the transgender character, Maura Pfefferman, had been an honor … but that the show clearly isn’t what he signed up for.
-TMZ
★ Gwyneth Paltrow is seeking protection from a deranged man who has an obsession with celebrities. Paltrow filed for civil harassment prevention against a man who has a history of targeting female celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump.  Reportedly, he also harassed and threatened executives at Kardashian’s talent agency.  It’s unclear what exactly he did to Paltrow, but the 35-year-old has a history of harassing his targets over social media and through email.
-TheBlast
★ Catherine Zeta-Jones paid tribute to her ‘best friend’ Michael Douglas as they celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. Zeta-Jones took to Instagram to post a sweet message for Douglas,  admitting that she never thought their life would be as good as it is right now. After overcoming Michael’s battle with cancer and her own battle with bipolar disorder, she says now they are in a better place than ever.

★ ‘Three’s Company’ actress Ann Wedgeworth has died at the age of 83. Her daughter has reported that Wedgeworth died in a nursing home near New York City following a long battle with an unidentified illness.  She joined the cast of Three’s Company in 1979, playing a sexually voracious, attractive older woman.  She left the show after only nine episodes.  Wedgeworth also had roles in the soap operas ‘The Edge of Night’ and ‘Another World’.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Van Halen – Wolfgang Van Halen has called out an Instagram user for pretending to be his dad Eddie – and he’s warned fans not to fall for the scam. Wolfgang revealed that someone had set up an account with a name similar to Eddie’s real one, and accused the faker of being a woman called Vanessa, based in Boston, who was apparently somehow trying to steal $40,000.
• AC/DC – Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott is among those honoring Malcolm Young, the AC/DC guitarist who died at the age of 64.  Elliott wrote in a statement published to Def Leppard’s social media accounts:  “I’m sad to hear of the passing of Malcolm Young. It was great to get the opportunity to open for AC/DC on the Highway To Hell tour & we certainly learned a thing or two.  He was an incredible guitar player & the glue for the band onstage & off.”
• Eminem – gave his fans a mix of old and new during his appearance on Saturday Night Live on the weekend.  He enlisted Skylar Grey, co-producer of his new song ‘Walk on Water’, to accompany him onstage behind a piano and carry the chorus. The two then dove into a mini-medley of the rapper’s old hits, including 2000’s “Stan”.
• Mariah Carey –  has released a video for her latest holiday track ‘The Star’, the title track for the animated Nativity film.  In addition to Carey, The Star soundtrack also includes holiday songs from several country singers (Kelsea Ballerini, Jake Owens, Jessie James Decker) and pop acts (Fifth Harmony, Zara Larsson). Kelly Clarkson, Kris Kristofferson and Carey also have voice roles in the film.
• John Legend and Carrie Underwood –  will co-host ‘GRAMMYs Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special.’  The program will air on Friday night on CBS.  The special will feature highlights from the past 59 years.  Both Legend and Underwood are Grammy winners.
• Mel Tillis – the legendary country music star passed away at the age of 85 early Sunday morning in Florida.  According to a rep, the cause of death was respiratory failure following a long struggle with intestinal issues. The father of singer Pam Tillis was known as the singer of ‘Coca-Cola Cowboy’ and writer of ‘Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town’.  Mel Tillis was described by Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young as one of the most genuine and funny people in the music business.
• Sugarland – is back.  After taking a break from the duo in 2012 to pursue solo projects and raise families, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have announced that new music is coming. “We’ve been writing and in the studio together and have some new music coming your way,” according to a Jennifer Nettles Facebook Live video.

ARMREST IN PEACE:
It is one of those awkward things.  You are at a crowded sporting event, concert, theater, or on an airplane, and the battle begins.  Who should get the armrest between you and the guy beside you?  Just in time for holiday travel, British Airways polled travelers about armrest etiquette.  Here is the consensus:  67% of respondents agree that you should take one armrest and leave the other for your neighbor.  But almost half of airplane passengers are more likely to claim both armrests if they are in the middle seat.
(And THAT’s where the problems start!)
(And why not?  They don’t have a window, they don’t have an aisle…they deserve something!)
(I find that like so many things in life, you are more likely to get it if you are BIG!)

MORNING SICKNESS:
Yes, morning breath is definitely a thing.  But why?  What causes it?  It turns out it’s got a lot to do with how much saliva you produce overnight.  In a word (or three…): not very much. Prosthodontist Mazen Natour says that saliva washes away bacteria in the mouth which can cause odors. The less saliva we produce (so therefore the drier the mouth), the more smelly bacteria can grow – meaning our breath smells far from fresh first thing in the morning.  Snoring and breathing through your mouth can also cause your mouth to become dry.  So if you are guilty of these, you could have ‘next level’ morning breath, unfortunately (and unfortunately for your partner).  The good news?  Bad breath in the morning is completely normal.  To minimize it, brush your teeth before bed, because leftover food particles encourage the growth of bacteria.
(So why do I always have ‘morning after the night before’ breath, even when I didn’t have a ‘night before’?)
(And what should I do if my morning breath lasts all day long?)
(How about when you wake up with a case of the ‘Zackleys’?  That’s when your mouth tastes zackley like the cat box?)
