SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Sean Spicer is safe yet again on “Dancing with the Stars” but not everyone is happy about it. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba spoke about the former White House press secretary avoiding elimination despite getting the lowest score for four weeks in a row, saying: “My reaction to Sean being saved, it’s frustrating. There are really great dancers being sent home, but that is part of our show. It’s always been the audience and the judges’ perspective. So…I can’t be mad at it, but it’s frustrating.”

★ Robert Pattinson’s Batman may have found a new villain in Colin Farrell. the Irish actor is reportedly in talks to play the sewer-dwelling villain ‘The Penguin’ in the Matt Reeves-directed film “The Batman”. If Warner Bros. can close the deal, Farrell, will round out a trio of villains that already include Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

★ Keanu Reeves has found his match! He made his red-carpet debut with his rumored new girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, over the weekend. Fans were shocked when he posed with the 46-year-old Los Angeles artist, marking his first public relationship in decades. The last girlfriend he went public with was Jennifer Syme. They met in 1998, fell in love in 1999 and announced they were expecting a child. Sadly, she gave birth to a stillborn child and died 18 months later.

★ Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden were evacuated from the set of “The Eternals” after an unexploded bomb was found. The pair were filming the Marvel movie on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura when the explosive was discovered, and everyone was apparently ordered back to a safe distance until experts could be brought in to deal with it. It’s believed that the bomb dates from the Second World War, when the Nazis had a base on the island.

★ While “Game of Thrones” has ended, fans of the series aren’t quite ready to give it up. After a controversial eighth season that included various production mishaps and an unfulfilling ending, fans have officially penned a petition to have the final season re-done. As of Monday, the petition on Change.org had been signed by more than 1.9 million people. BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Jonas Brothers – have announced a new festive seasonal song. Instagram quote: “Mariah Carey has given the world the green light, so the holiday season has begun!!! Our brand-new original Christmas song #LikeItsChristmas is out on Friday people.” That’s a reference to Carey’s recent post ringing in the yuletide season following Halloween.
• Diplo –will curate the music in spots for Monday Night Football on ESPN for the rest of the 2019 season. A release says that the DJ will curate songs that will “reflect the itensity and the storylines of select Monday Night Football matchups.” For the record, he’s a huge Eagles fan.
• Spice Girls — Mel B says she threw her $48,000 wedding ring in the trash, despite the fact that she only had $1,030 to her name. In August, it was reported that her income had dried up following the Spice Girls’ hugely successful tour.  Since then she has landed a presenting gig on the British comedy panel show “Celebrity Juice”, and is reportedly set to host her own online dating show.
• Mick Jagger – His solo albums will be released on vinyl on Dec. 6. That will include 1985’s “She’s the Boss”, 1987’s “Primitive Cool”, 1993’s “Wandering Spirit” and 2001’s “Goddess in the Doorway”.
• The Black Crowes – continue to tease a possible reunion. Their logo has appeared on billboards across Milwaukee. Reports of a reconciliation between brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, who split up the group in acrimony in 2015, first appeared last month, saying that the band had agreed to tour next year.
• Neil Young — refuses to “close the door” on a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young reunion, but he does say that it would be a “surprise” to him if it happened. The status of David Crosby, who appears of have upset Young and his other bandmates in recent years, remains the sticking point. Young says he “loves” Stephen Stills and Graham Nash.
• Carly Pearce — her self-titled sophomore album will be released on Valentine’s Day. She wrote on Insta that it is dedicated to the late Busbee, who produced this album and her debut, “Every Little Thing” before he passed away from brain cancer.
• Reba McEntire — and her boyfriend, Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo, have broken up after two years of dating. She confirmed the news to Us Weekly when, asked about her plans for the holidays, she said: “Skeeter and I broke up in May, so, unfortunately, we will not be spending that time together. We still talk and we’re friends, but just decided to go our separate ways.”

YOUNG AND BLESSED US:
Multi-billion dollar car companies have been working on it for decades, but it took a 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl to come up with a solution to the “blind spots” that are caused by a car’s roof pillars. Alaina Gassler isn’t even old enough to drive, but her ingenious fix for the issue involves putting a webcam on the outer roof pillar of a car which projects live feed video onto the interior pillar, with 3D-printed parts aligning the image exactly between the window and the windshield. And voila…No more blind spot! For her ingenuity, Gassler won the top award at her middle school engineering competition and was awarded a $25,000 prize. Someday her invention could become a standard vehicle safety feature.
(That my insurance company will change me extra for if I don’t have it…)
(So it’s basically a back-up camera for when you’re not backing up?)
(Sure, she’s smart, but I bet even SHE couldn’t program my car radio…)

PRE-SCREENED:
A study has found changes in “brain wiring” among young children who get a lot of screen time. Preschoolers (ages 3-5) who spend more time in front of a screen have ‘lower structural integrity’ of white matter – or brain wiring — in areas of the brain that relate to language, literacy, imagination, and self-regulation, according to a new study published in JAMA Pediatrics. Pediatrician Dr. John Hutton says that they discovered that the fiber tracts, or the “wires” connecting different parts of the brain that are involved in these functions had “lower measures of insulation and organization.” He believes that with all the stimulating things that go on with electronic devices, they probably do “too much” for kids, and leave them little incentive to use their imaginations, and to talk and practice the language skills that they are just learning at a young age.
(What I want to know is where they found a kid who DOESN’T get a lot of screen time to compare them to!)
(I bet that changes your Christmas shopping list, doesn’t it?)
(OK, I’m significantly older than those children. What’s my excuse?)

GOING BACK FOR TURDS:
If you’re tired of shoving a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey every Thanksgiving, this could be your year. Pringles (in the U.S.) has announced today’s debut of their new ‘Turducken’ flavored stackable chips. They made the announcement on Tuesday, tweeting, “RED HOT TRIPLE BIRD ALERT!!! Don’t miss Pringles Friendsgiving Feast, featuring The Turducken Stack, dropping in limited quantities on Thursday…” The Pringles Turducken Friendsgiving Feast kit features three kinds of fowl-flavored chips —chicken, duck and turkey – stacked on top of each other. They can be paired with chips that taste like cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin pie in the same tray. How much will it cost to order your very own Pringles Turducken Friendsgiving Feast kit? Just $15.99 at KelloggStore.com. Last year, Pringles released “Thanksgiving-flavored” chips that parroted turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie.
(Now you can have fake Thanksgiving dinner made from fake chips!)

HOW TO KEEP YOUR POPPY FROM FALLING OFF:
➠ Eraser:  Tear or cut off a bit of an eraser, push the pin through your coat then add the eraser bit to the end, and voila! (Note: In this case, white-out is a poor substitute for an eraser.)
➠ Duct Tape:  Either push your poppy through your coat and tape the pin down, covering the entire needle, or push the pin through, then wrap tape around the needle, preventing it from falling out. (And if duct tape won’t do it, it would be reasonable to believe that NOTHING will…)
➠ Safety Pin:  Pull your poppy’s pin out entirely and replace it with a safety pin.
➠ Lapel Pin:  Remove the needle and push through a flag pin. Then take the back and clasp it down, securing the poppy in place.
➠ Bend the Pin:  Push the pin through your jacket. Then using a pair of pliers, carefully bend the needle so that it won’t easily slip out. (Or slip in – to your skin!)
➠ Weave the Pin:  Try weaving the pin through your coat material. (Then sit back and watch the magical “unweaving”)
(I’ll stick to my tried-and-true method of buying 30 poppies and replacing them as I go!)

DID YOU KNOW?
Most women prefer anticipation over surprises. Why? Because planning something in advance gives people something to look forward to and signals that they’re important. But a “surprise” may signal last-minute planning or that others don’t care as much.

• “Little League Girls Day”, in honor of New Jersey’s brave foray in equal opportunity sports for tomboys in 1973, when that state became the first to allow girls to play Little League baseball.
