We’ve Got Our Sheet Together!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:

★ Arnold Schwarzenegger provided climate-change activist Greta Thunberg with some muscle in her plans to travel throughout Canada and the U.S. – by arranging to have a Tesla Model 3 at her disposal. The two environmentalists met earlier this year in Austria, after which Schwarzenegger confessed that he was “starstruck” by the young girl, whom President Trump appeared to troll after she gave an emotional speech to global leaders at the UN recently. Schwarzenegger’s original plan was to loan her his electric-powered Hummer — but getting it to her across the country wasn’t practical.

★ Hailey Baldwin has made her marriage to Justin Bieber Facebook-official. She changed her Facebook name to Hailey Bieber shortly before their wedding ceremony in South Carolina. The two were already legally married at a courthouse, but celebrated their special occasion with a traditional style ceremony on Monday. Baldwin changed her last name to Bieber on Instagram after they were legally married in Sept. 2018, but this time, she carried that over to Facebook.

★ Jim Belushi paid tribute to his late brother by resurrecting one of the greatest comedy music duos of all time, The Blues Brothers. Belushi’s Farm held the 3rd Annual Harvest Party over the weekend to celebrate the successful crop that he and the team recently harvested. To help bring out the crowds and the cash, Belushi tapped his good friend and late brother John’s old comedy partner, Dan Aykroyd, to bring the soul to his Oregon ranch, which he has turned into an impressive marijuana grow operation. The party also doubled as a charity event, as local blues musician, Johnny Wheels, who is a quadriplegic, is raising money to afford a vehicle that can cater to his special needs.

★ Embattled comic Louis C.K. is in Toronto for a string of standup dates, and he’s imposing some pretty strict conditions on the audience. His rules: No phones, and no “recording of any kind, including note taking.” Anyone who violates those rules will be asked to leave. While it’s not uncommon for artists to ban recording devices and cell phones, it is unusual for “note-taking” to also be banned. C.K. kicks off a five-day residency at Yuk Yuk’s tonight.

★ Mark Hamill slammed Ivanka Trump as a “fraud” after she tweeted about her family’s love of Star Wars. After Ivanka posted an image of one of her kids in a Stormtrooper costume with the caption: “The Force is strong in my family,” Hamill, better known as the Jedi hero Luke Skywalker, responded by quoting the tweet, and writing: “You misspelled Fraud. #GoForceYourself.”

• Ariana Grande – has recorded a cover of Lesley Gore’s 1963 hit, ‘You Don’t Own Me’ with Kristin Chenoweth. The duet was recorded for Chenoweth’s new female empowerment record, “For The Girls,” which was released on Friday. The Broadway star will also tour to perform the album.
• Drake – is lending his $185-million “Air Drake” Boeing 767 jumbo jet to the Sacramento Kings. The team is set to play the first-ever NBA games in India, and will arrive in style, thanks to the decked-out jet that Drake received for free from the Canadian airline ‘Cargojet’ for publicity purposes, earlier this year.
• Bruno Mars — A concert promotion and booking company named Major Entertainment is suing him for allegedly blowing off a 2017 concert Springfield Missouri. The company wants more than $1 million in damages.
• Van Halen — David Lee Roth says that the group is “finished.” In an interview, DLR was asked if he was “bummed out” that he couldn’t tour with Van Halen this past summer, as had been rumored. He responded: “That’s been canceled a number of times, and I think Van Halen’s finished…Van Halen isn’t gonna be coming back in the fashion that you know. And that being said, Eddie’s [Van Halen] got his own story to tell. [It’s] not mine to tell it.”
• Foo Fighters — Dave Grohl – says he wept when he heard Weezer performing his old band Nirvana’s song ‘Lithium’ at Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival on the weekend. Grohl and his bandmates then returned the compliment during their set by dedicating ‘Big Me’ to Weezer. Grohl admitted he really misses playing ‘Lithium’.
• Florida Georgia Line — is the recipient of the inaugural ACM Breakout Artist of the Decade Award. FGL shared the news on social media, along with a series of photos of the pair celebrating the honor. Their song ‘Cruise’ earned them the Single of the Decade Award, while their duet with Bebe Rexha on ‘Meant to Be’, won the Music Event of the Decade honor.
• Blake Shelton – will release the new album “Fully Loaded: God’s Country” on Dec. 13. The 12-song release will include seven hits from previous albums and five new songs, including ‘God’s Country’ and his new song with Trace Adkins, ‘Hell Right’.

UFO 2:
A band of alien hunters claim that they have, in their possession, physical evidence of UFOs. The organization, financed by former Blink-182 singer Tom DeLonge, says that it has acquired “exotic material” from what could be an alien spacecraft. DeLonge’s team, the “To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences”, is the same organization that came up with classified footage of UFOs recorded by American pilots that was confirmed as real by the US Navy last month. Now, speaking to a reporter, a spokesperson for the group gave a tantalizing tease about its next big scoop. When asked whether the team had obtained “exotic material samples from UFOs”, the spokesperson responded: “Certainly”. No further details were given. The group claims that they are working on finding “the most” qualified people to conduct scientific analysis on the materials, and is in no hurry to release its research.
(Or they won’t be…until they have a reality TV show!)
(Well, he certainly wouldn’t be the first rock star to acquire “exotic material”!)
(Why don’t they just ask the Navy to have a look? They seem to be happy to confirm these things…no waiting!)

YOUR KALE IS DONE – LITERALLY:
Apparently, the glory days for kale could be over. The bitter leafy green has been given its final rights as the ‘go-to’ health food by Amanda Mull, a writer for The Atlantic. In her article, “The Saddest Leafy Green”, she points out that Google searches for the one-time ‘It’ vegetable have been plummeting most of the year — except for in January, when many people at least start to try to eat healthy. Besides that, kale sales have tumbled, and search interest has gradually waned to ‘pre-Goop’ levels. That would be a reference to Gwyneth Paltrow’s website of strange and trendy things…like kale. As if that wasn’t enough to get most of us off the kale bandwagon, you know, if there was such a thing, earlier this year, kale made its way onto the ‘Dirty Dozen’ list, an annual compilation of the most pesticide-ridden fruits and vegetables by the Environmental Working Group. Oh, one more thing: It’s not all that healthy anyway, compared to other healthy foods. A 2014 Centers for Disease Control study of leafy greens found that kale was only the 15th healthiest of the bunch.
(#14: Your front lawn.)
(Newsflash: No one really liked kale in the first place!)
(I’ve never tried the stuff. But I have had it sit in my fridge for a month after my wife did!)

CELEBRITIES YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW WERE RELATED:

Ancestry.com determined that the famous Fanning sisters and the Duchess of Cambridge are distant kin…to the tune of 21st cousins. (And they’ll tell you that you are related to royalty too…for a fee!)

DID YOU KNOW?
The loudest sound ever heard on Earth was the eruption of Krakatoa in 1883. The Indonesian volcano ruptured the ear drums of sailors 40 miles away, and people 3,000 miles away reported it as “a distant roar of heavy guns.” To put that in perspective, it would be like sitting in Boston and hearing a noise that came all the way from Dublin, Ireland. (And it wasn’t Conor McGregor!)
