BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Fergie has clarified comments she made about Quentin Tarantino “biting her” on the set of 2007 movie Planet Terror. She told Entertainment Tonight that, “We were just kind of having banter. We were having a little bit of fun. But make no mistake, I don’t want to take away from anyone’s story, and I stand with every victim and everyone’s story everywhere.”

★David Duchovny doesn’t want people to “mourn” the X-files because of Gillian Anderson’s exit. He says that, “It’s unfortunate that’s kind of like ‘the headline’ because, to me, the headline is: We just made 10 really kick-a** episodes of television, and please enjoy and don’t mourn the death of this show quite yet.” With the future of the series at stake, creator Chris Carter recently suggested that Anderson’s inclusion wasn’t necessary for the show to go on. Carter says her departure could be the catalyst for some new and unique storylines.

★ Bill Murray will perform at the Sydney Opera House later this year. Murray will sing and read classics from Mark Twain and Ernest Hemingway as part of his ‘New Worlds’ show when he visits Australia in November, when he will also be promoting a new movie. Murray will appear alongside acclaimed German-American cellist Jan Vogler, with whom he has been playing to sold-out audiences in America on the back of their ‘New Worlds’ album.

★ Andrew Garfield has opened up about his sexuality in an interview with Out magazine, saying, “I want to know as much of the garden as possible before I pass. I have an openness to any impulses that may arise within me at any time.” Garfield, who dated his ‘Spider-Man’ co-star Emma Stone for almost four years, also said that he still identifies as heterosexual.
(Who knew that Spider-Man swings both ways?)

★ Elizabeth Moss has another epic project lined up. The star of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ has signed on to star in an upcoming biopic about Rosemary Kennedy. ‘A Letter From Rosemary Kennedy’ will document the life of John F. Kennedy’s older sister, who was lobotomized on her father’s orders, when she was 23 years old.

#BLACK INK:
For the first time since its launch in March 2006, Twitter has finally turned a profit!! The social network announced that it made a profit of $91 million in the last quarter of 2017. Twitter claims to have 330 million users, a figure that remains unchanged since the last quarter. They blame the lack of growth in users on their clampdown on fake accounts. But they aren’t cracking the Dom Perignon just yet. In the previous 2 years, the company has posted losses totaling $746 million.
(I think I found the problem. I found this story on Facebook!)
(They lost money for 12 years? That explains the name!)
(12 years of losing money? Who owns them, the government?)

MAIL BOX:
We’re not sure if the world is ready for this, but this guy is ready to sell them to the world. A New Brunswick woodworker has come up with the do-it-yourself casket kit. That’s right. After selling simple caskets for a few years, he found that shipping them was too expensive for his business to expand. So he invented the ‘stripped-down’ ready-to-assemble casket kit. For $700, he’ll send you the parts and instructions, and the rest is up to you. In the two weeks since he started marketing his idea, he’s had orders from across Canada.
(No complaints so far!)
(Assembling one of those is the type of thing that I’d never get around to doing until it’s too late…literally!)
(Like Ikea, but with no Allen keys!)
