★ Disney’s “The Lion King” has claimed a new crown: ‘Top Box Office Title in Any Medium’. AP has done the math and discovered the 17-year-old stage musical, which on Broadway has undergone an extraordinary spurt of box office growth in recent years, has logged worldwide sales of more than $6.2 billion, taking the lead from another Broadway long-runner, “The Phantom Of the Opera” at $6 billion. BABY GOT BACK-UP:
Sorry to break this to you guys, but odds are pretty good that your girlfriend has a back-up boyfriend … a guy waiting in the wings in case things don’t work out with you. According to a new survey of some 2,000 single women by OnePoll.com, a whopping 43% say they have a ‘Mr Plan B’. Unsurprisingly, the most likely candidate is an ‘old friend’ … yes, it’s that guy who is ‘just like a brother’ to her. Other candidates might be ex-boyfriends or ex-husbands, colleagues, or perhaps someone she met at the gym. The poll suggests she’s known her ‘B-U-B’ for about 7 years and there’s a 1-in-3 chance that you’ve met him already. (Oh no, not Arnold!?!?!?)

UNLIMITED VACATION:
Did Virgin just become the best company in the world to work for? In his new book “The Virgin Way”, Brit billionaire Richard Branson has announced that his Virgin employees are now allowed to take as much vacation as they want … so long as they finish their work. The entrepreneur, famed for pushing the boundaries both in the workplace and his personal life, says he was influenced to make the change after finding out that Netflix is also set to adopt the initiative. He argues that, in an age where employees can work remotely via email and smartphones, it is important for companies to allow staff autonomy in how much time off they think they deserve and when they take it.
