BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
TONIGHT at Talladega Speedway in Alabama, 4 women who won a Taco Bell contest get a chance to ‘speed date’ with NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr (basically dinner, an autograph and maybe a ‘pit stop’ before he speeds off elsewhere) . . . FOX-TV is moving to a year-round program schedule and will premiere 6 new shows THIS SUMMER (hurray, could reruns become a thing of the past?) . . . Look closely and you’ll see that the host of TV’s “Monster Garage”, Jesse James, has a new tattoo on his wrist that reads ‘Sandra’ – for steady girl Sandra Bullock (guess she’s a real grease monkey) . . . A spokesperson for Clairol says the company is reconsidering using “Apprentice” vixen Omarosa in Herbal Essence Shampoo ads after being bombarded with calls and e-mails threatening to boycott it’s products (wow, talk about the woman you love to hate!) . . . Word has it Barbra Streisand is planning a huge fundraiser to support Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry that will likely take place at her Malibu estate and include oodles of her Hollywood friends (wait, does she have any left?).

MOVIES IN THE MAKING:
NEXT MONTH the horror sequel “The Ring 2″ begins shooting, starring Aussie actress Naomi Watts & Sissy Spacek . . . Will Ferrell will next star in “Fly on the Wall”, about a down-on-luck lawyer whose life improves after he innocently saves the life of a fly . . . David Hasselhoff is looking to produce & co-star in a bigscreen version of his 1980s TV show “Knight Rider”, which he says won’t be a ‘joke version’ like “Starsky & Hutch” (uh Dave, the show was already a joke) . . . Reese Witherspoon will produce & star in “The Proposal”, a romantic comedy that follows a couple as they plan their wedding . . . When “Mission: Impossible 3″ begins shooting in AUGUST, it will be “Matrix” actress Carrie-Anne Moss (Vancouver BC) co-starring with Tom Cruise . . . The sequel “Shrek 2″, like its predecessor, will compete at the “Cannes Film Festival”, opening MAY 12th . . . Shock-jock Howard Stern has reportedly hired screenwriters to develop a script for yet another remake of the ‘80s high school comedy “Porky’s” – which has already spawned 2 sequels.

BEDROOM POLL:
Highlights of a new Gallup International poll on bedrooms …
• 75% of people surveyed say they make their bed daily. (Well what are you gonna say? Your mother might find out!)
• People who frequently change their mattresses have more sex. (That’s the reason they have to keep changing the mattress!)
• The most common fixture in bedrooms is an alarm clock or clock radio. (Gee, you’d think it would be a bed, no?)
• 20% of North Americans like to have sex outside the bedroom. (Or maybe ‘would like to’.)
• Out of 27 countries surveyed, Malaysians sleep the least – an average of just 6 hours, 36 minutes per night. (What the hell’s going on in there? Keep the noise down!)
• Russians are the least satisfied with their bedrooms. (It can be stressful having 4 generations sharing a 6-by-8 closet.)
• Spaniards are most likely to keep their bedrooms private, while almost half of Chinese regularly allow friends access to their bedrooms. (Note to self … book vacation in China.)
