BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Pat Sajak is officially leaving “Wheel of Fortune” — for real this time. The Emmy-winning, longtime host of the game show took his last-ever spin on Tuesday’s episode of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune”. At the top of the show, he joked: “I want to thank ABC for the opportunity to host season 5 of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. I hope they’ll take a close look at my proposed primetime series, Sajak Senior Secret Agent.” Sajak, who is 78, announced his retirement from Wheel of Fortune in June 2023, 4 decades after he took the show from daytime to prime time.

★ Sydney Sweeney is sharing the transformation and preparation that went into portraying pioneering female boxer Christy Martin in a new biopic set for release this year. Sweeney gained more than 30 pounds to play Martin, who put female boxing on the map in the ’90s, covered Sports Illustrated and fought on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Sweeney said she “loved” her 3 months of training, in which she “weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about 2 hours, then weight-trained again at night for an hour.” The as-yet untitled biopic follows Martin’s rise to fame and the abuse she faced at the hands of her then-husband, who attempted to murder her.

★ It is still early days for DC Studios and James Gunn’s plans to reboot its cinematic universe, and now, he has revealed that moves are being made for ‘Wonder Woman’ to eventually be a part of it. In a recent interview, the director said that a new Wonder Woman film is “being written right now,” alongside an already-announced HBO series “Paradise Island,” which will focus on the superhero’s homeland of Themyscira. Wonder Woman made her big-screen debut in 2017, with Gal Gadot in the title role.

★ Felicity Huffman is joining the cast of “Doc” for Season 2. She joins the cast as Molly Parker’s character, ‘Dr. Amy Larsen’s’ former med school professor ‘Dr. Joan Ridley’, a new addition to the hospital staff. This marks Huffman’s first series regular role since the college admissions scandal. She was previously tapped to star in a potential law-based spinoff of “The Good Doctor” that did not make it to series at ABC, and she guest starred in “Accused.”

★ Khaby Lame, the most followed person on TikTok, has voluntarily left the United States after being briefly detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement last week for overstaying the terms of his visa. Lame, real name is Serigne Khabane Lame, is a Senegalese- Italian TikToker known for his deadpan reactions to other videos. His viral vids have earned him a following of more than 162 million. Lame’s experience with immigration enforcement happened as President Trump directs law enforcement to assist in carrying-out his mass deportation agenda.

SHOOTING THE BULL

SKIP THE ‘GRAM AND SCRAM:
Forget the countdowns, group chats, and Instagram-perfect itineraries—have you tried a sneaky trip? Also known as a “hush vacation” or “impulse getaway,” this travel trend is all about disappearing for a few days — without telling the world (or your social media). Travel expert Loren Christie says it’s about being present — no live posting, no rigid schedule, just soaking it all in. The rules? Keep it short (3-4 days), don’t announce your plans, skip the social media until you’re back, and leave the overplanning behind. According to Mastercard’s latest travel trends report, more people are ditching prestige travel for private, meaningful experiences — and valuing flexibility and spontaneity over packed agendas. Christie’s recent sneaky trip? A weekend in Paris. But if Europe’s a stretch, he suggests Bermuda for east coasters or Dawson City, Yukon for a uniquely Canadian escape. His only serious advice? Let one person know where you’re going — just in case you sneak a little TOO well.
(Well, one person – and your kids. They should definitely know, too!)
(‘Impulse getaway’ sounds a whole lot better than ‘ran away from my responsibilities’!)

WEIGHTING FOR RESULTS:
❑ Did you ever have the thought after failing at another diet: “Well THAT was a total waste of time and effort”? Think again — research shows that even unsuccessful weight-loss attempts can benefit your health. A large NIH study tracked people who tried losing at least 5 pounds multiple times over 2 decades. The surprising finding: even if you gained the weight back, those who kept trying had lower mortality than people who never tried. That’s because each attempt involved healthier habits—like eating better and moving more—which gradually stacked up to real benefits. As Dr. Sonja Berndt puts it: The more you try—even if you fail—the better off you are: those efforts add up into real health gains over time. So, keep at it—each try counts. (Well, at least my gym membership was good for something!)
❑ It turns out your brain doesn’t love extremes when it comes to exercise. A new study suggests that working out too little or too much might actually age your brain faster. Chinese researchers looked at brain scans and found that moderate exercise was linked to better brain health, while couch potatoes and overachievers alike showed signs of accelerated brain aging. So, skipping the gym entirely or treating every day like a triathlon? Neither is great for your noggin. The sweet spot? Somewhere in the middle—just enough movement to keep your brain young — without burning it out. (It turns out that my very regular rest days were genius!)

FEE TIME FOR ME TIME:
How much would you pay for one quiet, obligation-free day? According to a new survey, the average American would shell out $2,521 for just 24 hours of peace — and if you’re a parent, make that $3,668. The survey, which included 2,000 people (30% of them parents), found we only get about 9.5 hours of true alone time per month. The top barriers? Family (50%), work (32%), and money (24%). Social obligations and even guilt for taking time alone made the list, too. More than half of respondents said they desperately need more “me-time”, and 38% admit to lying to escape—most often saying “I’m not feeling well” or “I have work to do.” Parents value a lazy morning to themselves at $325. And an extra hour of sleep? That’s worth $340. No wonder 40% said they have booked a vacation just for peace and quiet.
(Silence is golden. And apparently, very expensive!)
(Me? I fake having plans just so I can take a nap. No shame…)

MILLENNIAL RED FLAGS:
A Reddit user recently asked: “What’s your millennial ‘red flag’ that younger generations would roast you for?” Here are the hilariously relatable responses that people admitted they still do…unapologetically…
☞ “They can pry my ankle socks from my dying hands. I’m not giving them up.”
☞ “Gif reactions.”
☞ “I won’t download your store’s app, and if your menu is a QR code, I’m going elsewhere.”
☞ “My overuse of emojis 🤪.”
☞ “I have used the same song as a ringtone since 2011. I hardly know anyone who uses a song as a ringtone.” (I hardly know anyone who has their ringer turned on…!)
☞ “I quoted (the movie) Step Brothers at work, and my 19-year-old coworker told me I dated myself.”
☞ “Using a @hotmail.com email.”
☞”I don’t have a 5,000-step skincare routine or make GRWM videos, because who has time for that?”
☞ “Ripped jeans. I love my ripped jeans. Like, stylewise — not because you ripped them doing something silly.”
☞ “My 13-year-old consistently roasts me for eyeliner usage.”
☞ “Not liking Nickelback. Apparently, Nickelback is cool now.”
☞ “YOLO!”

DID YOU KNOW?
Monday, Apple held its annual WWDC conference, where it announced the next version of iOS for the iPhone, iOS 26. But the current version number of iOS is 18. So, what happened to iOS 19 through 25? The simple reason is that Apple has decided to align the iPhone operating system version number with the current calendar year. And while this is 2025, the lifetime of the new OS will mostly happen in 2026. iOS 26 will be in developer beta this summer and will officially launch to the public in September 2025. Expect iOS 27 to be ready for fall 2026. (I’m not even ready for #26, to tell you the truth…)

No, it is the Superman! The Man of Steel….” BS FAST FACT: Originally, Superman did not have the ability to fly, but was “able to leap tall buildings at a single bound”.

• “Jerky Day”, the annual observance celebrating the rich history, immense popularity, and nutritional benefits of dried meat snacks. FUN JERKY FACTS:
⇒ The word ‘Jerky is derived from the Spanish word “Charqui,” which came from Quechua, a Native American language, meaning “to burn meat.”
⇒ You can use almost any type of meat to make jerky. Although beef is most popular, you can find fish, moose, kangaroo, or even turtle jerky.
⇒ Squirrels make jerky too. Seriously. Red squirrels have been seen hanging fungi out to dry between tree branches. The dried mushrooms last longer during winter.
⇒ Jerky is eaten in outer space. Since the early 90s, NASA’s space crews have chosen to take jerky as a lightweight, high protein snack.
