★ Justin Bieber bared it all early Monday morning, telling the world he’s a broken man — and trying to fix himself just makes him angry. Bieber didn’t hold back, posting on Instagram: “People keep telling me to heal. Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?” He conceded he’s got anger issues, and wrote that the more he tries to fix himself, the angrier he gets. He said he has turned to Jesus for help, but is exhausted with the process of self-help.

★ “The Boys” star Erin Moriarty took to Instagram with an unexpected health update, captioning her post: “Autoimmune disease manifests differently in everybody/every body.” She wrote: “A month ago, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. Within 24 hours of beginning treatment, I felt the light coming back on. It’s been increasing in strength ever since.” She also cautioned her followers: “Your experience will be different from mine. My experience will be different from yours…if I hadn’t chalked it all up to stress and fatigue, I would’ve caught this sooner.”

★ Elizabeth Berkley made a surprise appearance Saturday night at an LGBTQ Pride screening of her cult classic “Showgirls.” The showing was part of Cinespia’s 30th anniversary celebration of the film at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. Berkley spoke about why she thinks “Showgirls” resonates with so many queer people, saying: “It’s about vindication, reclamation…and owning our stories and not waiting for someone else to approve it…to just own who you are like ‘Nomi’ and be brave and bold.” While it was critically panned when it premiered in 1995 and is often named as one of the worst films ever made, Showgirls maintains a cult following.

★ Gayle King is singling out 2 actors she believes deserve to wear the PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Man Alive” crown. In a recent interview, she said that while “there are lots [of worthy men] to choose from,” she “wouldn’t be mad if Regé-Jean Page got it”, referring to the 37-year-old “Bridgerton” actor, who rose to fame playing love interest ‘Simon’, the Duke of Hastings, in season 1 of the Netflix period drama. King also tossed out another name: Brandon Sklenar, star of “It Ends with Us”, “1923”, and more.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Grammy Awards — Music’s Biggest Night has been announced for Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. The 68th GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Nominations will be revealed on Nov. 7. Two new categories — Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover — have officially been added to the awards roster.
• Robbie Williams – will serve as the Official FIFA Music Ambassador, a significant new alliance between the worlds of music and football. In his first official engagement, he announced the release of the first-ever Official FIFA Anthem “Desire”, which will premiere at the opening of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Miami.
• Michael Jackson – His daughter Paris responded to trolls after being criticized for scheduling a show on Michael’s death anniversary. On IG, Paris wrote: “One of the tour dates I’m supposed to be going out on tour with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family…I guess I have to explain…that when you’re first of 3, and you’re not headlining these shows, you don’t pick what date you perform.”
• Paul McCartney — An animated film based on his children’s book “High in the Clouds” is in the works. While we knew McCartney was going to voice a character in it, now he has revealed that he’ll play a walrus named ‘Paul McKenzie’ — who’s a left-handed bassist in a band called The Sweets. (So…the walrus WAS Paul!)
• Heart — Nancy Wilson blasted the Trump administration for using the band’s song ‘Barracuda’ at Saturday’s military parade in Washington. She posted: “Barracuda…is a powerful piece of music that was never intended for political use…On a day meant to honor that service, it’s important that music used in such settings reflects not only the tone of the event but also the wishes of the artists who created it.”
• Oliver Anthony — According to a new report, his wife Tiffany Lunsford not only divorced him, but she also wants half the money he’s made — and all the money he will make. In response, he singer wrote ‘Scornful Woman’, which he released on June 4. He hasn’t outright confirmed the rumors, but he did amplify posts from Joe Rogan that made the claims.
• Clay Walker — was forced to cancel a show in Hot Springs AR on Saturday after experiencing side effects from a medical procedure. He didn’t specify what that procedure was, but said that it was to help him with his MS, a condition he’s been living with since the mid-’90s.
• Waylon Jennings — A year ago on Father’s Day, his son Shooter announced that he’d gained possession of a bunch of unreleased recordings from his father. Now, he has released a version of Waylon Jennings singing the song ‘Songbird’, from the iconic 1977 Fleetwood Mac album “Rumors” Shooter also announced that 3 albums of unheard Waylon songs are on the way. SHOOTING THE BULL
DATE RATES:
Apparently, romance comes with a pretty large price tag. A recent report from BMO’s Real Financial Progress Index reveals that the price of a typical date in Canada costs around $173, and with couples averaging 10-21 dates before committing, suitors are looking at spending $3,621 — just to start a relationship. Other findings from the study:
• 38% of people feel that dating costs have actually affected their long-term financial plans.
• 60% are not willing to spend money on dating apps or professional match making services.
• Single men are 20% more likely to feel pressured to plan expensive dates than single women.
• Nearly a third (30%) of single Canadians have cancelled a date to save money.
• 41% have left a date thinking it was a complete waste of both time and cash.
(I had no idea bowling was so expensive!)
(For you Americans, that cost of a date works out to about 54 US dollars. The catch? You’ve gotta date a Canadian!)

NEW FOOD NEWS:
➢ Heinz is officially making a move into your morning routine. For the first time in its 150+ year history, the brand is marketing its iconic ketchup — specifically as a breakfast condiment. With a bold new label proclaiming “Breakfast Ketchup”, Heinz is aiming to settle the long-standing debate: does ketchup belong on breakfast foods? Spoiler: they say “yes”. The new campaign includes limited-edition maple syrup-style bottles at select diners, digital ads in NYC subways, and even a custom Wordle buy. The product inside? Still the same ketchup you know and love — simply rebranded for your eggs, bacon, and hash browns. (As if bacon could be improved…!)
➢ A new survey reveals people these days are getting very creative with their condiment combos. A poll of Americans uncovered some of the wildest ‘food and dip’ combos that people claim to enjoy, including: French fries with tartar sauce, scrambled eggs with BBQ sauce, and pickles dipped in buffalo sauce. One respondent even confessed to putting Worcestershire on mac n’ cheese — and ranch in ramen noodles. When it comes to favorite sauces, barbecue, ranch, and honey mustard were found to rule fridge shelves. (Ranch in ramen? Call the police!)

HUE KIDDING ME?
A Katonah NY man has developed a type of house paint that changes color with the seasons – and he thinks his invention could help fight climate change. When he bought his home, designer Joe Doucet wondered: “What’s the best color to paint a house in a place with hot summers and cold winters?” After testing 3D-printed models, he found black walls helped in winter, while white kept things cooler in summer — but painting a house twice a year isn’t exactly practical. Inspired by mood rings, he developed a special thermochromic paint that changes color with temperature. It turns lighter when it’s warm, and darker when it’s cold, reducing the need for heating and A/C. And the new climate-responsive paints don’t necessarily need to be, well, black and white: The paint can be tinted almost any color, meaning a house could turn light blue in warmer months before turning a darker blue in winter, for example. Doucet says his color-shifting paint could cut home energy use by up to 30% in temperate climates. While it might take 5-10 years to reach the market, he’s hopeful a partner — like a major paint or chemical company — will help bring it to life.
(That’s ALL I need: A house that has mood swings…)
(Around here in spring, my house would change color 4 times in a day!)

SONGS THAT WERE ALMOST RECORDED BY OTHER ARTISTS:
These artists passed on recording them – so the song ended up in the right hands – and the right voice…
✗ ‘Umbrella’ – It was originally pitched to Britney Spears, but was rejected. So, Rihanna took it to the top of the charts, and the rest is history (or, more accurately, a novella, ella, ella…)
✗ ’Rock Your Body’ — Michael Jackson passed on this Neptunes bop, leaving Justin Timberlake to claim it for his solo debut.
✗ ‘Happy’ – CeeLo Green recorded it, but his label shelved it in favor of a Christmas album. Pharrell Williams gave it a shot, and before we knew what was happening, everyone was clapping along if they felt like a room without a roof…
✗ ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ – After Janet Jackson passed on it, Britney Spears slithered in and delivered one of her most iconic reinventions.
✗ ‘Don’t Cha’ – Before it became the ultimate “shoulda woulda coulda” anthem, it was offered up to Tori Alamaze and even Paris Hilton. But it took the Pussycat Dolls to make it purr.
✗ ‘Since U Been Gone’ – P!nk said no. Hilary Duff couldn’t hit the notes. But Kelly Clarkson turned it into the scream-along anthem of the decade.
✗ ‘Whataya Want from Me’ — P!nk helped write it, recorded a demo, and then passed. Adam Lambert ran with it—eyeliner, octave leaps, and all.
✗ ‘Call Me’ – It was pitched to everyone from the Rolling Stones (if you could imagine…) to Stevie Nicks. Blondie rewrote the lyrics, and made it their own.
✗ ‘…Baby One More Time’ — TLC thought the lyrics were too…uh…punchy. Robyn declined too. Britney took it, and made it a “hit”.
✗ ‘Irreplaceable’ — Ne-Yo originally imagined it as a country tune, possibly for Shania Twain. Instead, Beyoncé did it — and showed us all how to pack up our boxes to the left.
✗ ‘Telephone’ – It was written by Lady Gaga for Britney Spears, who actually recorded a version, but never released it. Instead, Gaga rang up Beyoncé, and their “phone collab” became a hit.
✗ ‘Let’s Get Loud’ — Gloria Estefan co-wrote it but thought it was too much like her past work. J.Lo turned up the salsa – and created dancefloor dynamite.
✗ ‘All About That Bass’ — Meghan Trainor wrote it and offered it to Beyoncé and Adele, who both passed. So, she sang it herself, and scored a pop hit with a body-positive punch.
✗ ‘Boom Clap’ – It was meant for Hilary Duff’s comeback album, but her team declined. Charli XCX took it to the silver screen via “The Fault in Our Stars”, and to the top 10.

DID YOU KNOW?
A new study shows that the secret to portion control – and therefore, the secret to effective weight management – could very well be a cinch. A cinch of hot peppers added to your meals, that is. Pennsylvania State University researchers found that hot peppers caused people to eat significantly less food — up to 18% fewer calories — without affecting how much they enjoyed their meal. The secret weapon? Capsaicin, the compound that makes chili peppers burn your tongue. When your mouth encounters capsaicin, you naturally slow your eating pace, take smaller or less frequent bites, and spend more time processing each mouthful, giving your brain more time to signal to your body that you’re feeling full. (New saying: “Pain, no weight gain”!)

(After all, they’re the ones who know about all the empty bottles you hide at the bottom of your recycle bin…)
• “World Croc Day” (the reptile, not the shoe). It’s part of a global awareness campaign to highlight the plight of endangered crocodiles and alligators around the world.
