BS SUBSCRIBER NOTE:
We’re back! And as promised, all “Bull Sheet” subscribers have received account credits for missed service days during our Spring Break.

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Meghan Markle’s mom is preparing to speak out. That’s the word from Britain where the Mirror newspaper is reporting that the very private Doria Ragland is in negotiations to sit down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about her famous daughter and Meghan’s experiences on her path to becoming a princess.
(Which is a whole lot better than sitting down with, say…Jerry Springer….!)

★ Blake Lively gave many fans a shock on May 1st when she completely wiped her Instagram of all pictures, including ones of her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and unfollowed him. But a bit of navigating what was left of her page made it clear that the move was made as part of a viral social media promotion for her new film “A Simple Favor”. It seems to have been successful too, because it caused a buzz among social media platforms and entertainment publications. Lively has since reinstated her Instagram account and refollowed her husband.

★ Ken Jeong is more than a comedian, he’s also a lifesaver. Jeong — who began his career as a medical doctor and is currently licensed as a physician and surgeon in California, but does not practice medicine — was performing at the Stand Up Live comedy club in Phoenix when a woman in the audience suddenly had a seizure. Jeong came down into the audience where he cleared room for the woman and attended to her as the club’s staff called paramedics. Reports are that the woman regained consciousness and was taken to hospital. Jeong may be best-known for his role as Mr. Chow in “The Hangover”

★ Bindi Irwin is very much in love with her boyfriend Chandler Powell and she believes that if her father, Steve, was still alive, he would totally approve of him. While at at the Steve Irwin Gala, Bindi said that she thinks The Crocodile Hunter would like Powell because he is “Always up for a challenge. From jumping on crocodiles to getting his cocky bow tie on, you know he is doing good. So, I hope dad would love Chandler. We all love him.”

★ Netflix says that Jeffrey Tambor will appear in the next season of “Arrested Development.” Tambor exited Amazon’s “Transparent” earlier this year amid misconduct allegations made by his former assistant and an actress on the show. Tambor has denied the harassment claims and said he was “profoundly disappointed” in how Amazon handled the matter.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Taylor Swift – After an 8-year-old fan posted a video saying that she had hoped to go to Swift’s concert in Glendale, AZ — but could not leave the hospital — Swift showed up to pay the young fan a visit. With a bag of concert merchandise in hand, Swift dropped by the Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix to see Isabella McCune, who was burned in an accident in March.
• G-Easy – Two days after being convicted of assault, drug possession and resisting arrest following a nightclub brawl in Sweden, he shared how grateful he was to have avoided jail time, and how “embarrassed” he felt to have gotten himself into the situation in the first place. He was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay about $9,000, plus $810 restitution to the security guard he was accused of assaulting.
• Janet Jackson – was slated to appear as headliner at the now-canceled FYF Fest, which was slated for July 21 and 22 in Los Angeles.  Florence and the Machine was the other major act on the bill.
• Guns N’ Roses – one song conspicuously absent from their newly announced ‘Appetite for Destruction’ box sets (one of which will retail for US $999) is the controversial track from the era, ‘One in a Million’.  At the time of its original release, the song was met with accusations of racism and homophobia due to its lyrics.
• Def Leppard – guitarist Vivian Campbell says its “important” for the group to continue to make new music, despite dwindling sales of physical albums throughout the industry. He thinks the band will begin recording next year.
• Kenny Chesney – has teamed up with Spotify’s Hot Country to premiere his new video ‘Trip Around The Sun’. There will also be a Spotify Cover Story that goes behind-the-scenes of his ‘Trip Around the Sun Tour’.
• Brett Eldredge – has extended his first-ever headlining tour. The new fall leg of “The Long Way Tour” begins Sept. 13 in Denver, CO, and will run through Oct. 19 in Boca Raton FL.  Devin Dawson will open.

HOUSING BACTERIA:
Some people won’t let you in the front door until you lose the shoes. Other hosts really don’t care if you remove your footwear or not. And if you think about the things that your shoes make contact with, it, it does make sense not to drag that stuff into someone’s house. Parking lots, public bathrooms, sidewalks, sticky restaurant floors…the subway. But what does science say? A study showed that microbes on the soles of your shoes can rub off onto the surfaces you walk on. And 26 percent of shoes carry bacteria which can cause diarrhea. Other studies have found significant amounts of E. coli and other nasty things. The average person is able to ingest a certain number of pathogens without harm, and scientists say that if you clean your house regularly, you probably don’t have too much to worry about. But you should be extra vigilant if you have babies or toddlers running around, or if someone in your home has a compromised immune system.
(What if I also hate having someone’s bare feet all over my house!)
(And you KNOW it’s time to clean house if people remove their shoes when they leave!)
(So should I also ask my dog to remove his FEET at the door?)

OVER 30,000 SERVED:
A Wisconsin man has eaten his 30,000th Big Mac. Nearly 46 years after enjoying his first Big Mac hamburger, 64-year-old Don Gorske of Fond du Lac recorded the milestone at a local McDonald’s on Friday. Gorske, who is a retired prison guard, says he’s eaten at least one Big Mac almost every day since May 17, 1972. How does he know? He has kept most of the boxes or receipts or has made specific notes in calendars that he’s kept. Gorske has been recognized by Guinness World Records for the most Big Macs consumed since 2016, when his tally was 28,788. Why does he do this? He says he just loves hamburgers. Gorske reports that his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal. By the way, 30,000 Big Macs over 46 years averages out to about 1.8 per day.
(Give or take. Out.)
(He kept records whenever he ate a Big Mac? Is that like a ‘McJournal?)
(I bet he is happy to be retired and able to devote more time to his hobby…)

MYTHS ABOUT CATS:
➢ Cats love milk: They drink milk as kittens, of course, but once they’re weaned off their mother’s milk, they stop producing all the enzymes they need to digest it. So yes, that means that most cats are lactose intolerant.
➢ Cats are solitary by nature: Cats certainly can survive on their own, and they almost always hunt alone. But when they gather in groups (as feral cats do), they form close-knit relationships and even team up in raising and nursing each others’ kittens. They even have best friends!
➢ Their whiskers help them to balance: While they don’t contribute to a cat’s ninja-like skills, they do help with navigation and sensory perception. Whiskers allow cats to feel the changes in the air that happen as they get closer to walls and other obstacles.
➢ Your cat’s fine with being vegetarian: Some nutrients that cats need to survive come from meat. They also need a lot of protein. They can’t easily get all that from a plant-based diet.  (Plus there’s that whole thing about forcing your lifestyle choices on others…)
➢ Stray cats are the same as feral cats: Feral cats have never really had a relationship with humans, so they’re usually scared of them, and they’re definitely not going to come inside and sit on your lap.  Stray cats are pet cats who have lost their homes, one way or another. They know people, they know people can be kind, and they can be re-introduced to people.
➢ Cats always land on their feet: Because of their twisty spine, they do land on their feet most of the time, but if a cat falls from a low height, they may not have time to flip completely, and they’ll land on their side. (Unlike myself, who usually does the twisty spine thing AFTER landing!)
