Here’s More Bull Roar!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Model-turned-TV personality Chrissy Teigen is keeping busy in the kitchen as she taste-tests new recipes for her 2nd cookbook. John Legend’s wife added cookbook author to her résumé earlier this year with the release of “Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat”, which became a “New York Times” bestseller. Now Chrissy, who welcomed the couple’s first child, daughter Luna in April, is getting back to brainstorming to share another round of delicious dishes with fans. The new book is yet to be given a publication date.

★ Miranda Kerr & Evan Spiegel have held a chic engagement party at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. The 33-year-old model and 26-year-old co-founder of Snapchat reportedly celebrated their impending marriage surrounded by close family and friends. Miranda was previously wed to actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she has 5-year-old son Flynn.

★ And a stage version of Meryl Streep’s movie “Marvin’s Room” is heading to Broadway. The comic play is scheduled to begin previews at NYC’s American Airlines Theatre next June, with a limited engagement planned to end in August. The show first debuted at Off-Broadway theater Playwrights Horizons in 1991, earning Scott McPherson ‘Best Play’ at both the Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. It was later adapted for the bigscreen in the 1996 film starring Streep, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Diane Keaton.

BS WAYS TO BE HER HERO:
Wanna really impress a girl? A few tips …
• Forget the weights & protein shakes. She doesn’t need you to be perfect-looking, just not fat.
• Instead of a backseat DVD theater in your car, use the money to buy a nice pair of shoes.
• She doesn’t really care what the plan is … just have one.
• Candles. They are so cheap and they are so effective.
• When you give her a gift, include a card in which you write something nice.
• Get covered garbage cans for your kitchen & bath. They hide stuff she doesn’t want to know about.
• Short-sleeves are for golf only; sandals are for Jesus only.
• When she asks you to accompany her to a wedding or a family event, RSVP within 24 hours.
• You might not know what she wants you to get her for her birthday, but her friends do. Ask them.
• Wash your dishes. Pick up your clothes. Swiff. She’ll think you’re a responsible adult.

LAZY PERSON’S GUIDE TO BEING ECO-FRIENDLY:
Think you don’t have time to be green? Here are a few small things you can do that have a big impact and take hardly any effort …
• Turn the Washing Machine Knob – 90% of the energy used to wash clothes goes to heating the water, so the simple solution is … wash your clothes in cold water.
• Buy Local Produce – An Iowa State University report found apples in a supermarket that had traveled 1,726 miles to get there. A local apple, on the other hand, travels about 61 miles.
• Stay Eco-Clean With Plant-Based Products – Typical soaps, including hand soap, dishwashing soap and laundry detergent, are petroleum based. They can also contain unhealthy chemicals.
• Think Before You Print – And if you insist on putting something to paper, then take a minute to set your printer to print double-sided, thereby reducing your paper usage by 50%.
• Slow Down & Drive Decently – By driving aggressively (speeding, rapid acceleration, frequent braking), you lower your gas mileage by up to 33%. Driving a hybrid aggressively can be even less efficient than a gas-powered car, as demonstrated on the Brit TV show “Top Gear”.
• Bank & Pay Bills Online – Do you really need a paper copy of every deposit slip, withdrawal slip, and statement? Virtually all banks are now offering paperless options and some are also offering debit cards made from recycled plastic..

FEMALES F—ING SWEAR MORE THAN MALES:
Women are now officially the ‘swearier sex’. A new study finds that women – at least Brit women – are more likely to utter the F-bomb than men. Surprised? Researchers aren’t. As part of a larger study of the English language to be completed in 2018, they’ve found that women say ‘f—’ or some variation 546 times out of every million words, while men use it about 540 times per million words. The study suggests that female use of the word has jumped more than 300% in a decade. Women are also more likely to say ‘sh–’, in fact, 10 times as often as men. Part of the reason is thought to be advances in gender equality. (Is so-called ‘ladylike’ behavior becoming a thing of the past?)
