★ Oh, look! It’s another cast reunion, but this this one you’ll be McLovin’! Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogen and others from “Superbad” will reunite to benefit the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bill Hader, Martha MacIsaac, director Greg Mottola, producer Judd Apatow and co-writer Evan Goldberg will also take part in the virtual script reading and watch party. It will be live-streamed at 8 pm. CT tomorrow.

★ Hilary Duff is pregnant with baby number three. The “Cheaper by the Dozen” star and her husband, musician Matthew Koma, will welcome the new addition to their family next year. On Instagram, Duff shared a video clip of Koma embracing her from behind and rubbing her growing belly as they smiled for the camera. Koma shared the same footage on his profile and joked about conceiving the baby during COVID-19 lockdown.

★ Ryan Reynolds and Emilia Clarke both celebrated their birthdays on Friday, and Reynolds, of course, resorted to desperate measures to jokingly make things all about him. As the birthday boy marked his big day, his production company and marketing agency tweeted out birthday wishes to Clarke instead of sending him a birthday message. Reynolds responded, writing: “So sorry. I moved her birthday this year. It was feeling a little crowded for me.” Then, hours later, he tweeted: “Excited to announce February 29th as Emilia’s new birthday. Congratulations!”

★ Julia Roberts’ iconic “Pretty Woman” boots are being auctioned off. She donned the classic pair of shiny black high-heeled boots in the 1990 movie, which has since become a memorable screen-style moment. The boots are expected to sell for between $13,000 and $19,000 when the auction goes live December 1-2. • Lewis Capaldi and Craig David — are among those that have been announced as part of a series of free gigs presented by McDonald’s. “I’m Lovin’ It Live”, this Fri. Through Sun., will also feature Stormzy, Kaiser Chiefs, Jess Glynne and more. Shows can be accessed by downloading the “My McDonald’s” App.
• Ed Sheeran – has reportedly spent tens of thousands to convert a field on his estate in England to what will become a dense forest, and he has planted trees six deep around the perimeter for privacy. His estate, known as “Sheeranville,” includes 5 properties and features a pub, swimming pool and spa, greenhouses, an underground cinema, a recording studio, a gym, a wildlife pond and an area for livestock.
• AC/DC — bassist Cliff Williams has warned fans he won’t be with the band for long, because he isn’t healthy enough for a grueling tour. He retired from the group in 2016, partly due to vertigo, but agreed to return to honor late bandmate Malcolm Young on the group’s latest album, “Power Up” (out Nov. 13).
• Bruce Springsteen – now has his own emoji. It appears when the hashtag #Springsteen is used on Twitter, but can’t be embedded in messages. His new “Letter to You” album was released on Friday.
• Jack White – bought a Scottish busker a $4,000 Fender Stratocaster after his was vandalized by a drunk passer-by. Matt Grant, had started a GoFundMe, but when he went to purchase a replacement, the music store manager told him: “Jack saw what happened bud, and he wants to get you a guitar.” Grant says he was able to buy an “absolute beauty” of an ax, and he called White a “legend.”
• Jason Aldean – has another epic idea for Halloween. He and his wife Brittany have a lot to live up to, after their Game of Thrones costume from 2019, the Star Wars theme from 2018 and his Joker costume in 2016. This year, he says: One of my ideas was to go as Joe Exotic, her to go as Carole Baskin and then the two kids go as tigers. So, we’ll see how that works out.”
• (***Caution: “Asses”***) Kix Brooks – was among the country artists who honored Jerry Jeff Walker, who died on Friday at 78. Brooks tweeted that Walker as “one of the great Lone Star bad asses”. Walker’s 1968 song ‘Mr. Bojangles’ became a standard of the American songbook, spawning covers from artists including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sammy Davis Jr., John Denver, Neil Diamond and many more.
• Johnny Cash – An deluxe version of “Forever Words”, the 2018 album that features artists setting Cash poems and lyrics to music for the first time, will be released in four “waves,” including new tracks from Hard Working Americans and Shawn Camp, which came out on Friday.

NEW MOON (INFO) ON MONDAY:
NASA says it has an “exciting new discovery” about the moon, and it will be revealed today. Here’s what we know: The new discovery has something to do with the Artemis program, which is the plan to send humans back to the Moon in 2024, and Mars in the 2030s. The info is coming from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), the world’s largest airborne observatory. SOFIA’s instruments have previously been given credit for detecting oxygen in the Martian atmosphere and countless infrared measurements that are very important to people who understand that kind of stuff. All will be revealed in a live audio briefing at 12 noon EDT on NASA’s website.
(Any other year, I wouldn’t have automatically assumed they are going to tell us that the sky is falling…)

GET WELL SOONER:
While children who have their tonsils removed sure enjoy the fact that they can look forward to lots of ice cream, researchers in Australia say a procedure that focuses on shrinking tonsils instead of completely cutting them out causes less pain and reduces bleeding risks. The 10-year study at Flinders University found a “tonsillotomy” can cut recovery times in half, to about 4.6 days, and patients are three times less-likely to bleed compared to full surgery. Why? A full tonsillectomy exposes the muscles of the throat. But by removing just 90-95% of the tonsil, a small crescent of tissue is left intact, allowing for less pain and bleeding.
(In light of this information, schoolyard bullies are being asked to threaten to only “rip most” of their victims’ tonsils out…)

SCIENTIFICALLY SCARY:
A scientific study has determined that the 2012 supernatural horror film “Sinister” is the scariest movie ever, according to UK website. To identify the scariest movie of all time, Dan Clifford, who conducted the study for consumer comparison website “broadbandchoices”, outfitted 50 people from a range of ages with heart rate monitors. Participants watched more than 120 hours of the most acclaimed horror films in surround sound. Their average resting heart rate of 65 beats per minute was measured against their increased heart rate during different films and the difference determined “Sinister” to be the winner.
The film, starring Ethan Hawke, follows a true crime writer who investigates a string of grisly family murders by moving into the home of one of the victims. The average heart rate among participants while watching Sinister was the highest at 86 BPM, with the highest spike to 131 BPM. Second scariest movie? 2010’s “Insidious”, which made viewers’ hearts pump, on average, at 85 BPM. Here is the rest of the top 10:

Halloween 2020 will be brightened by a rare blue moon Though not actually blue in color, the name is given to the second full moon in a single calendar month, or when there are three or four full moons within one season. Astronomers say blue moons only take place once every two and a half to three years. For trick-or-treaters, the occurrence is even more special because it only falls on Halloween roughly every 19 years. For those who miss it, don’t fret — it’ll happen again – in the year 2039.
