★ Amanda Seyfried says Paramount Pictures owes her money. The “Mean Girls” alum called out the studio for allegedly using her “likeness” on merchandise for the 2004 teen classic without giving her proper compensation. In a conversation with Adam Brody on Variety’s Actors on Actors series, she said: “I really love seeing my face on people’s T shirts. I mean, I’m a little resentful, because Paramount still owes me some money.” According to her, she doesn’t recall ever signing a merchandising deal, but conceded: “I don’t know if it was because I was 17 and dumb, or what.”

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Taylor Swift — won a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker who she claims showed up at her LA home numerous times over the past year to claim she’s the mother of his child. The order requires 45-year-old Brian Wagner of Colorado to stay 100 yards away from Swift and her residence. Swift’s team also says he tried to steal her mail and obtained a California driver’s license that listed her address as his own.
• Nick Jonas – In case you missed it when it was announced late last week, he’ll play KISS frontman Paul Stanley in the upcoming biopic “Shout It Out Loud” – and he’ll do his own singing in the movie. Production starts at the end of this year or in early 2026, and it is expected to be released in late 2026 or in 2027.
• Katy Perry — had the perfect reaction when a fan stormed the stage during her show in Sydney. The fan ran up next to her and put their arm around her shoulder. Keeping her cool, Perry did a quick spin to release herself from the fan’s grasp, and kept singing as bodyguards rushed the stage. Then she said to the crowd: “There’s never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it.”
• Prince – During this year’s edition of the annual Prince Celebration at the late artist’s Paisley Park entertainment complex, his estate announced 2 upcoming releases: A boxed set edition of 1985’s “Around the World in a Day”, and a 2026 reissue of 1986’s “Parade”.
• Pink Floyd — A new book about the group will hit bookshelves Oct. 9. “Pink Floyd Shine On: The Definitive Oral History” was written by author Mark Blake, who’s worked with the band for 35 years. The book is described as “the most comprehensive history of the band ever compiled” and includes new, and unpublished interviews with David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and the late Richard Wright.
• Brantley Gilbert – While he does own a zebra, his was not the one that was running rampant through the streets of Tennessee. He shared a vid where he says: “Thank y’all so much for all…the thoughts and prayers, but no need to be concerned…the zebra is home safe and sound.” He also shared clips of both the escaped zebra being transported home, and his own zebra roaming his backyard. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/2wuj3kf6
• Old Dominion – Some fans brought bouquets in honor of the new song ‘Water My Flowers’, and dressed like the woman on the cover of their upcoming album “Barbara”, for the first weekend of the band’s “How Good Is That World Tour”. The band also brought along the couch from the cover of their self-titled 2019 album to raise money for Save The Music, to fund getting instruments and music teachers into schools.
• Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson and Randy Houser — hit the golf course together and possibly created a funny new song on the tee stand. The song has a working title of ‘Head Down’. In a vid posted to Bryan’s Instagram, Houser interrupted Bryan’s concentration by singing, “Head down, head down.” It’s to the tune of his hit song ‘How Country Feels’. SHOOTING THE BULL
DOCTOR WHO? DOCTOR CPU!
When you’re not feeling well, would you rather talk to a doctor– or a computer? A new University of Maine study suggests that AI might actually give you more accurate medical answers than a human doctor—but there’s a catch. Researchers analyzed over 7,000 medical questions, comparing responses from AI systems and real doctors in the US and Australia. The verdict? AI scored high on accuracy, professionalism, and clarity—often earning 8 out of 10. But while the facts were spot-on, AI lacked something critical: empathy. Patients don’t just want the right answer—they want to feel heard. That’s where human doctors win. Their responses showed more emotion, offered reassurance, and showed that they were “there” for their patients. As researcher Kelley Strout put it, healing often comes from human connection—something no algorithm can replicate, no matter how smart it gets. The team concluded that AI should support, not replace, healthcare professionals.
(On the other hand, I can get an appointment with CHAT GPT a lot quicker than I can with my GP!)
(Do I prefer a doctor or a computer? Depends on which is most likely to believe my answer to the question: “How much do you drink?”!!)

VIEWS TO DIE FOR, BILL TO CRY FOR:
If you’re looking for a 4-bedroom suite in the heart of London with killer views, I know just the place. But it’ll cost you – big time. The luxurious new penthouse at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is perched on the 11th floor of Mayfair’s first newly built hotel in a decade. It sprawls over 5,000 square feet and is decked out with hand-painted wallpaper, a marble tub, museum-worthy art, and a sleek design by Studio Indigo. But the real showstopper? Two levels of wraparound terrace with sweeping 180-degree views of the city. Of course, all that glam doesn’t come cheap. A night here starts at a mind-bending £40,000 (around US $54,000)—which, for context, could pay for over a year’s stay at a Travelodge just down the road…
(Booked it! Just kidding, I went to the website, and it laughed at me!)
(I’ve heard it’s ideal for those moments when one simply must escape the yacht…)

BRUSH, RUSH, REPEAT:
Not everyone wakes up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. In fact, 2 in 5 Americans say they’re just plain bad at mornings. A new survey found 38% of people admit they get out of bed later than planned—an average of 8 times a month. For some (about 1 in 10), that happens more than 20 times a month(!). When mornings do go sideways, breakfast is the first thing to get skipped (41%). But hygiene isn’t far behind—16% skip showering, and 11% skip brushing their teeth. Yuck. And here’s the kicker: less than half (43%) of Americans use an alarm to wake up. Among those who do, the first alarm typically rings at 6:33am — though Gen Z and millennials are much more likely to set an alarm than boomers are. Alarm users average 2 alarms per morning before they manage to get their bones moving, and about 1 in 5 will hit snooze at least 3 times. So yes, that “5 more minutes” routine? It’s a lifestyle.
(As for those people who are GOOD at mornings: Don’t you envy them? And hate them?)
(Me? I don’t wake up. I regain consciousness…)

DID YOU KNOW?
The iconic Goodyear Blimp is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The airship embarked on its maiden flight in 1925, taking tire advertising to new heights. During World War II, Goodyear blimps watched over US Navy ships. In 1955, Goodyear floated into the sports world, helping fans enjoy a bird’s-eye view of their favorite events. According to the company, there are fewer blimp pilots in the world than astronauts. And that might explain why a Goodyear Blimp pilot can make up to $170,000 annually – plus bonuses. (Honestly, I just want the jacket…)

TODAY’S BS REASON TO PARTY . . .
• “Corn on the Cob Day”. Corn is an ancient plant native to the Americas. It is believed to have been first cultivated in Mexico and spread around the world via European explorers in the 15th and 16th centuries. Because eating it is a messy affair, and leads to corn sticking to your teeth, etiquette rules that it should never be served at formal occasions (or ordered on a first date!).
• “Cousteau Day”, a celebration of Jacques Cousteau’s life. In his 87 years, Captain Cousteau’s immense contributions to marine science and conservation, including the production of more than 120 documentaries, advancing the science of scuba, and promoting environmental activism, are indisputable.
• “German Chocolate Cake Day”. The first thing you should know about it is that it is not from Germany! It is named after American Samuel German, who came up with a dark baking chocolate for Baker’s Chocolate Company in 1852, which was named Baker’s German’s Sweet Chocolate.
• “National Making Life Beautiful Day”, a day dedicated to encouraging and celebrating those who are making life beautiful. Whether you’re creating beauty through building relationships or helping others achieve personal success, one small action can lead to a ripple effect, making life beautiful not just for yourself, but for those around you, too.
• “King Kamehameha Day”, honoring Hawaii’s first king, who unified the Hawaiian Islands in 1810. Not very significant to the rest of us … but it sure is fun saying “Kah-MAY-uh-MAY-uh”! LINK: https://tinyurl.com/44dv6x9v
• “Pizza Margherita Day”. Traditional margherita pizza toppings consist of crushed fresh or canned San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. It is perfection in its simplicity.
