BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
✳ Movie star Scarlett Johansson covers the new issue of “Marie Claire” magazine, in which she talks about her turn-offs (“jealous behavior”) and her marriage to Ryan Reynolds (“It wasn’t that long ago but I think I’ve had a fair amount of time to process the experience”). The former Hollywood twosome split in 2010. (No word if the two topics are connected.)

✳ Dark Horse Comics has secured the rights to publish George Lucas’ original “Star Wars” script as an 8-issue graphic novel series. The comics will be available beginning this September. Lucas drafted the script back in 1974 and the first “Star Wars” movie hit the big screen in 1977. Last year Lucas sold the movie rights to the franchise to Disney. (Seems he’s determined to sell out any way he can.)

✳ Actor Russell Brand has become Hollywood’s latest ‘swatting’ victim after police received a prank 9-1-1 call reporting that 2 gun-toting men clad in body armor were approaching the property. LAPD officers who arrived on the scene found no one there and determined that the call was a hoax. Brand is believed to have left his house a half-hour before the fake emergency call. (There’s a 12-year-old somewhere who’s gonna be in a whole sheetload of trouble.)

✳ “Mad Men” star John Slattery (‘Roger Sterling’) is eyeing a move behind the camera after writing his first film script. He’s previously directed 3 episodes of the hit AMC drama and now wants to try his hand at helming a movie. The project would be based on a screenplay he adapted from an undisclosed book. (Sunday’s “Mad Men” season 6 premiere got lower ratings than last year’s. Is he planning a safety net?)

✳ Sorta singer-sorta actress Courtney Love claims she’s been approached to judge “one of these talent shows” that’s currently on TV. Quote: “I always said I would never, ever, ever do one, but I’m not talking about the one judging dogs – it’s the other one, I don’t wanna say the name of it.” (And you thought “American Idol’s” Nicki Minaj was wacky.)

When Mick Jagger once asked for access to his extensive archive to research a book, Wyman claims his refusal caused Mick to cancel the deal and return advance money. A few photos from the new book “Bill Wyman’s Scrapbook” …

BS BUZZWORDS:

SPEEDY SPEECH:
Want to keep people’s attention when you’re talking? Talk fast. Most people are on such tight schedules that they want to hear quickly what you have to say. Speedy talking lends importance to your message and makes you and your ideas sound younger and livelier. But don’t overdo it. Talking way too fast makes you sound nervous and confused.

TOOTHPASTE TASTE:
Why does everything taste bad after you brush your teeth? Blame either sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) or sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). These 2 chemicals which lower the surface tension of a liquid are added to toothpastes to create foam and make it easier to spread the paste around your mouth. Both mess with our taste buds by suppressing receptors that detect sweetness. Thus, anything eaten or drunk after brushing will taste less sweet and more bitter than usual.

SELFISH MAN SIGNALS:
How can you tell if a guy is going to be selfish in a relationship? One clue is if he walks in front of you. Guys who charge ahead subconsciously signal that they expect you to keep up with them. Keep an eye out for preening gestures, like smoothing his hair back a lot or sneaking glances at his reflection in the mirror behind the bar. Also, be wary of men who say ‘I’ a lot … it’s a sign that he’s #1 on his priority list.

SHARED LAUGHTER:
In the language of love, laughter is key. According to a new study from Appalachian State University, reminiscing as a couple about inside jokes can give each of you a bigger boost of satisfaction than recalling a laugh you had on your own. More importantly, the shared laughter doesn’t have to come from positive circumstances. So go ahead and laugh together about that time you made a major faux pas at a family function.

REJECTED DISNEY THEME PARK RIDES:
Ideas for attractions that were once considered viable, then eventually abandoned …
✗ ‘Beastly Kingdom’ – A planned feature for Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom that would have featured animals of myth and legend, such as dragons and unicorns.
✗ ‘Dick Tracy’s Crimestoppers’ – Based on the “Dick Tracy” movie, guests would have had the chance to shoot it out with gangsters on recreations of gritty, crime-riddled streets of Chicago.
✗ ‘The Enchanted Snow Palace’ – Guests would have boarded boats to cruise an arctic wonderland teeming with robotic animals, such as giant walruses, polar bears, and wolves.
✗ ‘The Great Muppet Movie Ride’ – Planned as part of a special Muppets-themed area, but only a Muppetvision 3-D show came to fruition.
✗ ‘Museum Of the Weird’ – A collection of strange objects intended to keep guests entertained while waiting in the notoriously long line-ups for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.
