Abbey Road Studios has partnered with Google to create the interactive walkthrough “Inside Abbey Road”, which tours the rooms where The Beatles performed “All You Need is Love” via satellite in 1967, and where Amy Winehouse did a duet with Tony Bennett in 2011. ★ Ireland Baldwin split from her girlfriend before checking into rehab. The 19-year-old model is currently seeking help for ’emotional trauma’ at California’s Soba Recovery Center in Malibu, a drug & alcohol treatment facility that specializes in underlying psychological causes of addiction.
It’s now emerged her 10-month romance with rapper Angel Haze recently came to an end, but that’s not being blamed for her troubles. Prince William, who’s currently training to be an air ambulance pilot, will have to rush back to London by car if his wife goes into labor while he’s at work in Norfolk. Kate is basing herself at their London home, Kensington Palace, so she’s close to the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital where she’s expected to give birth. Their #1 toddler, Prince George, is said to be ‘excited’ about the impending birth. (It’ll be someone to divert all the paparazzi.)

• Bee Gees – A ‘lost’ Robin Gibb album is to be released 45 years after it was recorded, thanks to fans salvaging one-off acetate tapes. “Sing Slowly Sisters” was recorded in 1969-70 and exists in bootlegs only. A remastered version, “Saved By The Bell – The Collected Works of Robin Gibb: 1969-70”, is coming June 1st.
• Billy Joel – A rep confirms he’s going to be a dad again … at age 65. He & girlfriend Alexis Roderick are expecting a baby this Summer. Joel already has a 29-year-old daughter, singer-songwriter Alexa Ray Joel, from his marriage to model Christie Brinkley (1985-94).
• Bon Jovi – Jon Bon Jovi is opening the BEAT Center in Toms River NJ, which stands for Bringing Everyone All Together. The anti-hunger facility will help people get meals, food stamps, and healthcare, as well as offer culinary-related job training. It opens later this year.
• 50 Cent – He’s set to release his own line of … underwear. He’s teamed with men’s underwear brand Frigo to create the collection, entitled ‘Frigo Crown’, which will hit stores this Summer.
• Florence & The Machine – Florence Welch broke her foot after leaping off the stage into the crowd during her performance at Coachella on the weekend. She’s hoping the injury will be healed by the time she’s due to play the UK’s Glastonbury Festival the weekend of June 24th.
• Jack White – He’s planning a short acoustic tour of the only 5 US states left that he’s yet to play. The gigs will be unannounced until 8 am local time on the day of each performance. Tickets will be only $3. After the mini-tour, he’s taking an extended break from performing live.
• Nelly – He was due to perform at Missouri State University on April 23rd but organizers have now axed the gig without any explanation. Presumably it has something to do with the drug bust of his tour bus on the weekend.
• One Direction – They’re moving right along without Zayn Malik, having already started writing for a new album. The group’s first album as a foursome is due later this year.
• Snoop Dogg – He’s invested in Eaze, a new delivery company that connects medical marijuana patients with local dispensaries in states where the drug is legal. The service is currently available in 35 US cities, and promises to deliver cannabis in about 15 minutes.

• “Knights Of the Roundtable: King Arthur” – 28-year-old Poppy Delevingne, older sister of model/actress Cara Delevingne, has landed a role as the mother of King Arthur in this upcoming Guy Ritchie adventure film. The cast already includes Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, and Eric Bana. The film began shooting last month with an eye to a Summer 2016 opening.
• “La La Land” – Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone are in negotiations to star in Damien Chazelle’s followup to his Oscar-nominated movie “Whiplash”. The new project is described as a contemporary romantic musical which Chazelle wrote before 2014’s “Whiplash”. It was also intended to star Miles Teller, but the “Whiplash” actor has moved on. Filming begins in Fall.
• “Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates” – Anna Kendrick (“Pitch Perfect”) has been cast as Zac Efron’s love interest in this new comedy based on a real life story of 2 brothers who advertise for wedding dates on Craigslist. The ad not only works, the brothers end up meeting some crazy and amazing women. Adam DeVine has been cast as the other brother.
• “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday” – “Magic Mike” actor Joe Manganiello has joined the cast of the new Pee-wee Herman movie, calling Pee-wee (Paul Reubens) “one of the great comic geniuses of our time”. Reubens, who’s been playing the eccentric man-child on the big- and small-screen for decades, was apparently an iconic figure during Manganiello’s childhood.
• “X-Men: Apocalypse” – Olivia Munn has joined the cast as ‘Betsy Braddock’, aka ‘Psylocke’. The character made her 1st appearance in comic books in 1976 but hasn’t had a large presence in films. Munn joins returning stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Rose Byrne. Director Bryan Singer’s next installment opens May 27, 2016.

INTRODUCING THE KITCHEN BOT:
London-based Moley Robotics has launched a prototype ‘robo-chef’ for the home. The cooking machine learns by capturing the movements of a human in the act of preparing a meal. These movements are then turned into commands that drive a sophisticated pair of robot hands. BBC-TV’s 2011 “Masterchef” champ Tim Anderson is training the bot. It’s the ultimate sous-chef, he says, because it does exactly what it’s told and will do it over and over the same way every single time. The product is still 2 years away from the retail market. In the meantime, Moley wants to make the unit more compact, and give it a built-in refrigerator and dishwasher. The goal is to produce a consumer version costing £10,000 or about $15,000. (Whoa! Cheaper to hire an illegal immigrant.)

ENTERING A NEW LEVEL OF STUPIDITY:
Excessive smartphone use can, in some cases, lead to repetitive stress injuries. There’s even a medical term for when it causes a tendon in the thumb to constrict … ‘texting thumb’. But an unnamed California man has taken the malady to a whole new level. The 29-year-old showed up at an orthopedic surgeon’s office with a torn tendon that was ascribed to overindulging his love of playing “Candy Crush Saga” on his phone. He apparently played the game ‘all day’ for 6-to-8 weeks with his left hand, while relying on his right hand for other tasks. His symptoms include ‘chronic left thumb pain and loss of active motion’. He’s now had surgery to repair one tendon and has a rupture in another. (This used to be your dad’s corny joke: “Someday your thumbs are gonna seize up.” Not anymore.)

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names & Numbers has asked the Canadian Office of Consumer Affairs to investigate Vox Populi, a Canadian company that has secured exclusive rights to sell the website ending ‘.sucks’ (dot-sucks). ICANN says it’s concerned about the high fees being charged for the newly created URL ending. The company denies any wrongdoing, claiming its prices for ‘.sucks’ addresses are “well within the rules”. Typical URL addresses sell for between $5-and-$20 a year. But Vox Populi is charging a $2,000 ‘sunrise’ premium to those wishing to register ‘.sucks’ addresses early, before they go on sale to the general public next month. They were actually considering a fee of $25,000 at one point. (Well that just … er … uh … sucks. Next they’ll be registering ‘.gouge’.)

The Pacific island of Tahiti has made a bid to enter the record book by gathering together thousands of ukulele players. Organizers in the capital of Papeete claim they’ve broken the world record for ‘Largest Ukulele Ensemble’, with 4,750 people strumming along in unison to the song “Bora Bora E”. Guinness World Records is currently evaluating the record attempt. To meet its standards, ukuleles have to be played together – and in harmony – for a full 5 minutes.
