★ Joe Exotic is calling out his longtime adversary, Carole Baskin. In a new interview, the “Tiger King” star broke his silence on Baskin’s husband, Howard, who said they would support his early release from prison on the condition that he support the Big Cat Public Safety Act. Exotic says he is accepting their offer. Quote: “It is time for Carole and Howard to put up or shut (CAUTION***the hell***) up because I’m accepting their offer…But we need to keep our end of the deal and get Joe a pardon because this wasn’t really about murder for hire or shooting five tigers — this was about exploiting Joe to support Carole’s agenda.”

★ Kelly Osbourne has relapsed after nearly four years of sobriety. She shared the news in a series of Instagram stories on Monday. Osbourne began her emotional video by saying: “So this is a little hard for me to talk about. But I always promised you I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery.” The 36-year-old TV personality and daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne went on to say that she is “back on track” and “sober today — and I’m going to be sober tomorrow. But I’ve learned it truly is just one day at a time”. She promised to share more details later in a podcast.

★ Harassment allegations against former “Bachelor” star Colton Underwood have led to over 28,000 people signing a petition for Netflix to cancel an upcoming show about him. The change.org petition, which was started by an anonymous user, states: “Colton is a former bachelor lead who stalked his final pick, Cassie Randolph. ★ Pat Sajak recently had a bit of misfortune on “Wheel of Fortune”. The host accidentally gave away the bonus round answer during Thursday’s broadcast of the game show. After just 6 of the puzzle’s 12 letters were revealed, Sajak commented: “Yikes. Well, I’d rather be standing here than there, quite frankly.” “Quite frankly” turned out to be the answer, though the contestant didn’t seem to realize it and still failed to correctly figure out the puzzle before time ran out.

• Billie Eilish — On IG, she posted a pic of herself in a cardigan to tease her 81.6 million followers that new music is seemingly on the way soon, writing “things are coming”. In February, she said she was “almost done” with her new album. She’s also set to release a photobook and audiobook about her life.
• The Weeknd — excited fans by posting a snippet of his remix of ‘Save Your Tears’, featuring Ariana Grande. Last month, he hinted that he had some unfinished business with his acclaimed “After Hours” album, which features the original version of the song.
• Boy George – The movie biopic of the “Culture Club singer, called “Karma Chameleon”, is tentatively set for release this summer in London and Bulgaria. George says a casting search is underway for the actor to play him, and teased that “Line of Duty” actor Danny Mays will play his father, and “there are rumors of Keanu Reeves popping in.”
• Ted Nugent – says he tested positive for COVID-19, though he’s called the pandemic a “hoax” in the past. In December, he dismissed it as “scammy.” In a Monday Facebook Live broadcast, he changed his tune, saying: “I have had flu symptoms for the last 10 days and I thought I was dying.”
• Styx – will hit the road with Collective Soul for a summer 2021 U.S. tour. The two bands will team up  for 7 dates, starting June 16 in Alpharetta, Ga., and wrapping June 27 in Oklahoma City. Tickets go on sale April 23 or April 30, depending on the venue.
• Meat Loaf — Jim Steinman, the songwriter and producer best known for writing his entire 1977 masterpiece “Bat Out of Hell”, has died at 73. No cause was given. Steinman also wrote grandiose ballads sung by Bonnie Tyler (‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’), Air Supply (‘Making Love Out of Nothing at All’), and Celine Dion (‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’).
• Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher and Chris Martin — are among 156 people who have written a letter to British Prime Minister Johnson asking for an overhaul of the streaming industry. They say streaming platforms have “not kept up with the pace of technological change” and “today’s performers should receive a share of revenues, just like they enjoy in radio.”
• Kacey Musgraves – will release the follow-up to her 2018 Grammy-winning “Golden Hour” later this year. What can we expect? She told Rolling Stone that her new music “venture(s) into, like, a Bill Withers land. We’ve got that synth stuff that we always loved. And we’ve got some Eagles or America territory. There’s a little bit of a dance vibe.”
• Luke Bryan — is on the mend after his bout with COVID-19. Quote: “I was very fortunate to not have a long set of symptoms and stuff.” Though he recovered fairly quickly, Bryan said that it was “still quite challenging for a couple of days”, and his wife, Caroline helped by nursing him “back to health”.
• Eric Church, Darius Rucker and Ashley McBryde – all appear in a public service announcement encouraging viewers to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine and get their shots so live music can return to its full potential. The PSA first aired during Sunday’s ACM Awards.

FACEBOOK WORLD DOMINATION, PART 6:
Facebook has definitely had our eyes for a while. Now it’s coming for our ears. The company has announced several new tools for creating and sharing audio. Similar to when it moved into video after YouTube, and introduced disappearing photos after Snapchat, and short-form content on the heels of TikTok, Facebook is big on audio these days because of its resurgence with the rise of podcasts and live social audio on Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces. Facebook will introduce its own live audio product, called “Live Audio Rooms”, which should be available to all users this summer. Podcasts are also coming to Facebook. Soon, people will be able to listen to and discover new podcasts directly on the Facebook app. And “Soundbites” features short-form audio clips like TikTok videos, but audio-focused, with captions. Facebook also announced plans for creators to be able to make money with these new audio tools. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said: “A big part of the creator economy is that it’s empowering individuals,” and he sees that as a positive trend.
(And the fact that he can make money off of them? Even MORE positive!)

THIS IS NUTS:
How about some good news? A new study has found that when it comes to eating almonds, chances are you can eat them without worrying about calories. University of Toronto researchers say that when it comes to almonds, the calories listed don’t equal the amount that we absorb when we eat them. Principal study investigator John Sievenpiper, points out that although nuts have been thought of as healthy, they often come with the disclaimer that they are high in fat and calories. But his study found that the body does not absorb roughly 20% of the calories coming from almond fat after digestion. An ounce of almonds contains about 14 grams of fat. Almonds also offer lots of beneficial protein, vitamins, and minerals. Previous studies find almonds, and other nuts, also can contribute to good cardiovascular health. The hope is that this study will help eliminate the “nuts lead to weight gain” stigma.
(Almonds are also an excellent chocolate-delivery system!)

How about some Chicken Soup…for the kids? The multimillion-selling “Chicken Soup for the Soul” franchise is reaching for a younger demographic. Chicken Soup for the Soul (the company) announced that it has partnered the children’s publisher Charlesbridge for two new series of books: “Chicken Soup for the Soul Babies” will be for babies and toddlers, up to age 3, and “Chicken Soup for the Soul Kids” will be for ages 4-7. The initial 4 books in the new project will be launched on Sept. 21, including the title: “Everyone Shares (Except Cat).” The publisher pointed out: “Today’s parents grew up with the original series, and we look forward to bringing Chicken Soup for the Soul’s positive and inclusive storytelling to the next generation.”
(…except they’re expected to re-name them “Chicken NUGGETS for the Soul”!)
