Here’s More Bull Roar!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin said in a new interview that she’s getting death threats as she slammed the makers of the hit Netflix documentary. She says that she thought the documentary was going to be about her work to expose animal abuse in the captive tiger trade. Quote: “I just feel so angry that people have totally missed the point. And the point is these cubs are being abused and exploited and the public is enabling that.” The series focuses on former zoo owner Joe Exotic, who is serving 22 years in prison for 17 counts of animal abuse and two charges of murder for hire after paying someone to kill Baskin, his nemesis.

★ Just as the “Friends” cast announced that they’d take part in a reunion interview together, COVID-19 gripped the planet and left the special on ice. But don’t worry: The cast are keeping ideas flowing during lockdown by participating in Zoom video meetings. A source says: “As soon as filming was [postponed] everyone started panicking as it took so long to get their schedules to align, there was a deep fear it may take a year or even longer to get them all back together again.” But the cast has been having daily meetings and Jennifer Aniston, who has the busiest schedule of the six, has assured the rest that she’ll do whatever she can to ensure they don’t have to wait months to get the reunion filmed.

★ Ronda Rousey says that she chose not to return to the WWE because it was taking “time and energy” away from her family. In an interview, she said: “What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of…ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?” Although WWE events are scripted, the traveling and physicality of fighting began to wear on her, and she decided sacrificing her family life wasn’t worth it.
(Hold on a minute…I think the real story here is — WWE events are SCRIPTED?????)

★ The famed British comedian and performer Tim Brooke-Taylor died Sunday morning from COVID-19, at age 79. Brooke-Taylor was part of Cambridge University’s Footlights revue, the breeding ground of several generations of British comic talent. He broke into radio and television comedy in the 1960s alongside future Monty Python members John Cleese and Graham Chapman.

• Sturgill Simpson — has tested positive for COVID-19, nearly a month after he says he was refused a test by a “highly condescending” doctor. SELF HAIR CARE:
Where a few weeks ago, everyone was stocking up on toilet paper and hand sanitizer, the CEO of Walmart says the items people are most often panic-buying now are hair dye and clippers. That’s right, according to Doug McMillon, with many salons being forced to close as part of lockdown restrictions, hair care has become another DIY project. As a result, sales of hair clippers have jumped by 166% over last year, and hair-coloring products are up 23%.
(Good to see people going back to their roots…)
(And yet for some reason, my wife doesn’t want my help…)
(You still might want to consider picking up some toilet paper while you’re at it!)

HOW TO WEAR A FACE MASK WITHOUT FOGGING UP YOUR GLASSES:
Now that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is advising everyone to wear a face mask in public during the coronavirus pandemic, there are plenty of online tutorials demonstrating how to sew your own, or even how to make one with nothing more than a bandana and rubber bands. Or underwear. But a problem remains for those who wear glasses: The warm breath that escapes through the top of a loose-fitting mask always seems to fog up the glasses. The fix? Give these a try:
• Wash the lenses with soapy water: Soapy water leaves behind a thin film, making it more difficult for moisture to condense on the lenses.
• Fold down the top portion of your mask: This creates extra space for your breath to escape before it comes into contact with your glasses. The downside is that it reduces the size of your mask. The edges of a face mask should always fit snugly and cover all of your nose and mouth.
• Attach a folded tissue inside the top of your mask: Fold it into a thick rectangle and attach it to the inside of your mask, atop the bridge of your nose. This helps absorb the moisture from your breath, impeding condensation.
(Great. Now I have to wash my hands AND my glasses every 20 minutes!)
(Yes, these procedures are a big pain – so much that you just might reconsider whether it’s worth it to leave the house at all!)
(The good news it that some experts say that glasses might offer some extra protection from coronavirus – as long as you can see properly!)
