TODAY British Princes William & Harry will lead a memorial service marking the 10-year anniversary of their mother Princess Di’s death, to be attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Diana’s friends such as Elton John but NOT by Charles’ replacement wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall (no dogs allowed!) . . . TONIGHT Britain’s ITV network airs the documentary, “Diana’s Last Day”, using footage & stills collected from various photogs (in a rare exhibition of taste, none taken after the crash will be featured) . . . SATURDAY CanWest Global’s CH network (dumbest name ever?) is officially re-branded ‘E!’ thanks to an agreement with the US entertainment network (you know what that means – even more Ryan Seacrest!) . . . THIS WEEKEND 39-year-old “Grey’s Anatomy”-turned-“Private Practice” (ABC) star Kate Walsh is marrying her very own ‘McDreamy’, Alex Young, at a 3-day event at California’s Ojai Valley Inn & Spa north of LA . . . SUNDAY the new reality show “Dumped” debuts on the UK’s Channel 4 network, in which 11 contestants vie for big cash by attempting to live for 3 weeks solely on what they can find in a landfill site (talk about ‘junk food’!) . . . MONDAY “Back to the Future – The Ride” at Universal Studios Hollywood closes after attracting over 61 million users over the years (one of the last riders will win a stainless steel 1981 DeLorean, the basis of the movie’s flux capacitor-equipped time machine) . . . And movie actor Jamie Foxx (“Ray”) has gotten into the avocado farming biz, selling produce to local stores, but unlike former TV/movie star Tom Selleck who’s one of California’s leading avocado farmers, he says he has no plans to turn his hobby into a big business venture (cuz he still has a day job).

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Amy Winehouse – She’s now canceled all upcoming appearances, including a performance on the “MTV Video Music Awards”, in a – quote – ‘continued effort to support her well being’.
• Britney Spears – Buzz has it “Gimme More”, the reputed first single from her long-threatened 5th studio album, could debut as soon as NEXT WEEK.
• Carrie Underwood – She’ll release her new album, “Carnival Ride”, on OCTOBER 23rd. Her debut effort, “Some Hearts”, spent 27 weeks at #1 on country charts.
• Faith Hill – She’ll sing the opening theme to each “Sunday Night Football” game this season (NBC), which again will feature weekly custom lyrics to “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night”, a tune based on Joan Jett’s classic  “I Hate Myself for Loving You”. Last season, Pink did the honors.
• Lil’ Wayne – He’s being sued for $1 million by a woman who claims she was trampled by a stampeding crowd after he tossed a wad of cash into the audience during a concert at Morgan State University in Baltimore MD LAST OCTOBER. Apparently she didn’t get any.
• Whitney Houston – Ex-hubby Bobby Brown has filed court documents seeking to overturn a decision granting her sole custody of their 14-year-old daughter Bobbi Kris.

WEEKEND SHOW BIZ SKED:
• Bjork – TOMORROW she’s the musical guest on a rerun of “Saturday Night Live” (NBC), hosted by movie star Scarlett Johansson.
• “CMT Cross Country” – TONIGHT a new hour-long episode features Jack Ingram & Miranda Lambert.
• Collective Soul – TONIGHT they perform music from their new album “Afterwords” on the “Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (NBC).
• “Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour” – It’s spawned 2 hit TV movies, a quadruple-platinum CD, a touring live concert, and a top-selling DVD and TONIGHT the latest incarnation of the “High School Musical” goldmine opens on arena ice in Lakeland FL and will travel to at least 100 cities over the next year.
• “Justin Timberlake: FutureSex/LoveShow” – MONDAY HBO re-launches its concert specials with a Justin Timberlake show taped AUGUST 16th at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. An unbelievable 43 cameras were used to film the concert, which must be some kind of record.

• “Summer of Love 40th Anniversary Concert” – SUNDAY a free event celebrates the music of the so-called ‘Summer of Love’ in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, site of the original ‘be-in’ in 1967. Among the hippy acts reliving the day: Canned Heat, Country Joe McDonald, Moby Grape, Taj Mahal, and the latest version of The Doors.

• “Bell Witch: The Movie” ( Horror Thriller ): SATURDAY, for the first time, a movie is being released straight to the Internet and hi-def video, in both Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats. It was shot using high-definition digital cameras 5 years ago, then shelved. The supernatural thriller based on actual events that took place in Tennessee in the early 1800s stars Betsy Palmer (‘Mrs. Voorhees’ in “Friday the 13th”).

• “Death Sentence” ( R-Rated Drama ): Kevin Bacon stars as a vengeful father who sets out on a mission to kill each and every thug involved in the brutal murder of his son during a botched convenience store hold-up. Stars Tyler Mane as ‘Myers’ and Malcolm McDowell as the psychiatrist who treats him. • ”3:10 To Yuma” ( R-Rated Western ): SUNDAY only, the new Russell Crowe-Christian Bale film gets a ‘sneak peek’ showing in theaters. It officially opens next Friday, SEPTEMBER 7th.

EVEN MORE RED TAPE:
You can no longer come back for another round of life in China without a permit. Starting SATURDAY, living Tibetan Buddhas will have to apply for reincarnation to the Chinese government. The new rules are said to be ‘an important move to institutionalize the management of living Buddhas’. HOW TO GET IN:
At most exclusive nightclubs, it’s the doorman who decides who gets admitted and who gets turned away. Here are a few pointers from some of NYC’s top doormen on how to get past the velvet rope …
• Even in the hottest weather, casual summer wear will never cut it for would-be entrants.
• Doormen always check feet. Cheap or shabby shoes are a no-go, as are ugly, unpedicured toes crammed into expensive ones.
