Here’s More Bull Roar!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
• 35-year-old movie actor Matt Damon (“Syriana”) & 29-year-old fiancée Luciana Bozan Barroso were wed at New York City Hall FRIDAY. Her 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship witnessed the ceremony but Damon’s pal Ben Affleck was not present. The couple are rumored to be expecting their first child together. They met at the Miami Beach club Crobar, where Luciana worked as a bartender while Matt was filming the comedy “Stuck On You”.
– “Star Magazine”
• Jilted actress Jennifer Aniston reportedly considered donating her one-of-a-kind Lawrence Steele gown from her wedding to Brad Pitt to charity, but then decided she’d feel better about – burning it! The gown burning was not a weepy ceremony, however, but a light-hearted affair at which Jen and friends drank champagne while they also tossed Brad’s old shirts and CDs into the bonfire.
– “The Bosh”
• Mary-Kate Olsen says she left New York University a few months back in part to recover from Paris Hilton’s theft of her former boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos. She says it remains a hurtful and painful subject.
– “W Magazine”
• After rumors that 44-year-old Jeff Probst was considering quitting “Survivor” when his contract was up, CBS-TV has confirmed that he’s been signed to a new 2-year deal that will see him continue as host through 2008, the show’s 16th season.
– “E! Online”
• Just when we thought we’d heard the last of on-and-off couple Jude Law & Sienna Miller comes a report that she’s been secretly enjoying dates for some 2 months with none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, recently split from model Gisele Bundchen. This follows the buzz that she’d previously cheated on Jude with his best friend and new ‘James Bond’ actor Daniel Craig. Could someone turn a hose on these annoying bed-hoppers?
– “News of the World”
BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Ashlee Simpson – She tells “Cosmopolitan” magazine that she suffered from a ‘minor eating disorder’ when she was 11-years-old. What, she didn’t like peas?
• Coldplay – TONIGHT they’re on the “Tonight Show With Jay Leno”.
• Elton John – TONIGHT his special “Elton John: The Red Piano” airs on NBC-TV. Taped at Caesars Palace using 36 high-def cameras, the show features guests Justin Timberlake as a young Elton, and Pamela Anderson … as a pole-dancer.
• Emerson Drive – 3-month-old Nashville indie label Midas Records has just signed them up as its flagship act.
• Garth Brooks – He & Trisha Yearwood got hitched SATURDAY night at their home near Claremore OK.
• Jessica Simpson – Buzz has it she’s considering doing another reality show, which would follow her life as a single woman after her split with Nick Lachey. Uncle!
• Michael Jackson – His spokeswoman is denying a “National Enquirer” report that he suffered an overdose in Bahrain FRIDAY. Raymone Bain warns there may be legal action if the story that he’s been on a Jack Daniels & Demerol binge persists.
• White Stripes – SATURDAY drummer Meg White celebrated her 31st birthday with a Beatles-themed party at Hollywood restaurant Kung Pao Kitty. Among the gifts was a kid’s drum kit decked out as a mini-replica of her own.
FAMILIARITY BREEDS CHEAP:
An RBS Advanta poll finds that the longer people are in a relationship, the less likely they are to spend large sums of money on each other. 53% of those who are unmarried but living together say they’ll spend over $150 on presents for their partner for Christmas, but only 31% of married partners are prepared to spend that much. And the study shows it gets worse once you have children – romantic presents are replaced by practical ones. (Wow, nice socks. Thanks!)
– “Focus”
SHE SAID IT:
“At the end, there was a smile on his face.”
– Jennifer Lee Pryor, ex-wife of comedy legend Richard Pryor who died of a heart attack SATURDAY at an Encino CA hospital at age 65.
PASS IT ON:
No need to feel cheesy anymore when you recycle a Christmas gift. Oh-so-proper Palm Beach FL etiquette expert Audrey Kardon says ‘regifting’ is perfectly okay provided you follow a couple of rules. First, make sure the person who gave you the gift doesn’t know the person you’re passing it on to. That could lead to unbearable embarrassment. And second, if the giver ever asks you where their gift is, tell them you’re ‘saving it for a special occasion’. (Can you pass on last year’s socks if they’re worn out?)
– “Palm Beach Post”
REALLY GREEN XMAS:
Highlights from the 22nd annual ‘Ultimate Gift Guide’ published by “Robb Report”, the magazine ‘for the affluent lifestyle’. Among the jaw-dropping extraordinary gift ideas …
• $1.2 MILLION: A Bugatti Veyron, the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive production car ever assembled. The ultimate Grand Touring car is powered by a 16-cylinder, 987 horsepower engine. Less than 40 are available annually. Price includes a 3-day trip to Bugatti headquarters in Molsheim, France and high-speed driving lessons on a grand prix track.
• $40 MILLION: A neo-classical Miami FL estate built in 1927, including 4 buildings with 12 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an 85-foot observation tower, 270 feet of waterfront, and a dock that can accommodate any size yacht. It’s the highest price ever requested for a Miami home.
• $75.5 MILLION: A fleet of 6 yachts from Monaco manufacturer Wally Yachts, ranging from the ‘Power 118′, capable of up to 70 mph, to the 100-foot ‘Dark Shadow’ sailing yacht, to a 180-foot ‘mega-yacht’ custom-built to the owner’s specifications.
• $100 MILLION: A seat aboard a Soyuz spacecraft bound for a Moon-orbit mission that will launch as early as 2008. The price of the Space Adventures excursion includes the space capsule itself … which can be kept as a souvenir.

MR & MRS BECOME MRS & MRS:
You might need a roadmap to follow this one: British couple Bernard & Joyce Rogers from Woodford Halse, who were married for 38 years, have just divorced so they could – remarry. Huh? In 1991, Bernard became Bernadette after a gender change operation. Ever since, the two have lived together ‘like sisters’. But the 76-year-old retired physicist is now legally recognized as a woman thanks to Britain’s ‘Gender Recognition Bill‘. And that means she (formerly he) was able to wed 80-year-old Joyce under the UK’s new ‘Civil Partnership Law’. Thus the long-time husband and wife have ‘remarried’ as a gay couple – but first had to divorce to make it legal. (Does anyone have to pay alimony in this deal?)

DID YOU KNOW?
The average mall Santa is 44-years-old, 6-ft-tall, weighs 220 lbs, and has 3.2 children of his own.
NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS:
It’s the gift that says ‘I love you just the way Angelina Jolie is’. Cosmetic clinics offering vouchers as holiday gifts say they’re selling like … well, Xbox 360s. One clinic reports that sales are up 30% this season and the most popular procedures being purchased as gifts are liposuction, breast enlargement and rhinoplasty. (Could be one way to buy yourself out of an unwanted relationship: “Just for you, Beaky … a new nose!”)
– “GQ”
GREATEST MUSIC VIDEOS OF ALL-TIME:
3. “Like a Prayer” – Madonna
2. “Stan” – Eminem
1. “Thriller” – Michael Jackson
– New poll from digital music channel “The Box”.
FACE OF FORTUNE?
The Frenchwoman who became the first person to undergo a face transplant has signed a publicity deal that could earn her a fortune. 38-year-old Isabelle Dinoire, who was disfigured by a dog attack in MAY, agreed to let British documentary-maker Michael Hughes film her before, during and after the graft at Amiens University Hospital in northern France. The ethics of the deal, as well as the operation, have come under debate since her daughter has suggested the dog was only trying to wake the woman after she took sleeping pills in a suicide attempt. (If this was a movie script, no one would buy it!)

• “Ding-a-Ling Day”, to remind us that ‘ding-a-lings’ are wonderful, friendly, loving and desirable. (But SOOOOOO dumb!)
• “Poinsettia Day”, honoring Dr Joel Roberts Poinsett (1799-1851), the American diplomat who introduced us to the Central American plant named for him in 1828.
