★ The upcoming mystery novel “The Silkworm” will be credited to JK Rowling’s pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The “Harry Potter” scribe wrote 2013’s “The Cuckoo’s Calling” under the pen name, but her secret was revealed to the press without her permission. Rowling later explained she wanted to release a book without all of the fanfare and pressure that accompanied the ‘Potter’ books. The 2nd installment in the series about private investigator ‘Cormoran Strike’ is set to be published this June.

★ 35-year-old actress Michelle Rodriguez has confirmed she is dating 21-year-old fashion model Cara Delevingne. Quote: “It’s going really well. She’s so cool. When we started hanging out, I just thought she was awesome, and we have the best time together.” Rodriguez and Delevingne have appeared affectionate during public outings for about 6 weeks since they were first photographed kissing at a Knicks basketball game in NYC last month.

★ Hollywood couple Leighton Meester (ex-“Gossip Girls”) and Adam Brody (ex-“The OC”) have been married in a secret wedding, according to a magazine report. No further details regarding the wedding, such as when and where it took place have been announced. Meester (27) and Brody (34) first got together while co-starring in the 2011 movie “The Oranges”.

★ And novelist/screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis says he can’t talk about it, but he’s writing a screenplay for Kanye West. The famed “American Psycho” novelist says the rapper approached him with the project last Summer. Although Ellis initially didn’t want to be involved, he says West’s last album, “Yeezus”, changed his mind. It’s not clear when we’ll get a glimpse of the finished product. The movie’s release date is as mysterious as it’s subject matter.

• Bruce Springsteen – 10 of his albums have been remastered for sale on the iTunes store. 5 of these re-released classics, including “Born To Run”, have been transferred from the original analogue to digital using new Plangent Processes technology for the first time.
• Crosby, Stills & Nash – All shows in the veteran rock band’s upcoming 2014 tour are set to continue as scheduled even though David Crosby has undergone heart surgery. He’s expected to make a full recovery in time for the kickoff of the tour in Richmond VA on March 4th.
• Drake – His 5th annual “OVO Fest” will take place in Toronto ON on August 3rd and 4th, with Outkast headlining the 1st night and Drake topping the 2nd. Both dates will feature a number of special guests. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
• Kanye West – The Langham Huntington hotel in Pasadena CA is mimicking his lavish over-the-top marriage proposal with what it’s calling the ‘Proposal Of the Century’ package. For $100,000, you can pop the question at the Rose Bowl while a full orchestra plays. The elaborate package also includes a 2-night VIP stay at the hotel and a $35,000-diamond ring.
• Kelis – Best known for food-themed songs like “Milkshake” and “Jerk Ribs”, she’s set to host her own show on the Food Channel starting February 26th. Titled “Saucy & Sweet”, the new series will focus on ‘cooking food with attitude’. Her new album, “Food”, is due April 22nd.
• Nirvana – ‘Kurt Cobain Day’ is being launched today in the late singer’s hometown of Aberdeen WA. The event will take place annually on Cobain’s birth anniversary. The  Aberdeen mayor suggests that the day could eventually be extended to a week of celebration.

COMING ATTRACTIONS:
A BS selection of movies in the making …
• “Home” – Topher Grace is in talks to star in this supernatural thriller. The former “That 70s Show” actor plays a young man recently released from a mental institution, who inherits a mansion from his parents but soon starts to believe the eerie building may be haunted. Patricia Clarkson is in negotiations to co-star.
• “Ithaca” – 52-year-old actress Meg Ryan says she’s excited to make her directorial debut with this adaptation of William Saroyan 1943 novel “The Human Comedy”. She’ll also star in the film, alongside her 21-year-old son Jack Quaid (via actor Dennis Quaid), Sam Shepard, and Melanie Griffith. The film’s being made by Tom Hanks’ Playtone production company.
• “Taken 3” – While 2012’s “Taken 2” was critically panned, it still grossed $374 million worldwide. That’s why yet another sequel is set to begin filming in March. This time around, 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker is set to star opposite Neeson & onscreen daughter Maggie Grace. Neeson is said to have been offered $20 million to reprise his role.
• “The Whole Truth” – Daniel Craig has been cast in this espionage thriller. Plot details for the project are being kept under wraps, but it is speculated the movie will involve a courtroom. No shooting date has been set yet, but Craig is expected to begin filming the untitled ‘Bond 24’ movie, his 4th outing as iconic British spy ‘James Bond’ in the next few months.

MOMS’ BREAST MILK DIFFERS:
A Harvard University analysis of related studies in humans and other mammals has shown that mothers produce different breast milk ‘recipes’ depending on the gender of their babies. Moms may say they don’t care whether they have a son or a daughter, but their breast milk says otherwise. Research has uncovered a common theme: Baby boys often get milk that is richer in fat or protein – and thus energy – while baby girls often get more milk. It’s thought that further knowledge of the phenomenon could lead to better matches for babies who get donated breast milk. (Creating more female calves might also up the milk production on dairy farms.)

SURPRISING USES FOR WAX PAPER:
✓ Buff faucets and other metal fixtures. A few rubs of wax paper gives metal surfaces a water-deflecting coat that repels beads of moisture and temporarily minimizes water spots.
✓ Release waffles from the iron. While the waffle iron is heating up, place a piece of wax paper in between the plates. Once the iron is heated, the wax will have coated the iron.
✓ Prevent snow from sticking to the shovel. Rub a piece of wax paper along the edge of the shovel to keep snow from sticking to it.
✓ Protect candles in storage. To stop the dye from one bleeding into another, wrap candles in wax paper before stashing them away.
✓ Remove stubborn dirt. Cut a piece of wax paper to the size of your wet or dry mop and attach. Run it along your floor and baseboards to snag stubborn dirt and scuff marks.

DECLINING CITIES NOW COOL:
Perhaps more than any other city in North America, Cleveland has long been the butt of jokes about ugliness and boredom. But according to new stats, the population of downtown Cleveland is surging, doubling in the past 20 years. What’s more, the majority of the growth occurred among 22-to-34-year-olds. Pittsburgh, too, has unexpectedly reversed its out-migration of young people. The number of 18-to-24-year-olds was declining there until 2000, but has since climbed by 16%. And though it’s teetered on bankruptcy for years, Detroit (aka ‘Debtroit’) is now a cool-kids destination for young artists, entrepreneurs, and urban farmers. (Yeah right, Cleveland rocks.)

FLYING BUTLERS:
Spring Airlines, a budget Chinese carrier, is dressing its female flight attendants as maids and their male colleagues as butlers on some flights. A spokesman says the male crew members dressed as butlers include the pilots, and their outfits feature a long black apron as well as a tie. It’s thought to be the first airline to have crew members dressed in such a fashion. The airline says it’s just one of several measures to improve customer service. (Try calling your flight steward ‘Jeeves’ and see what that gets you.)
