Deja Moo!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ What should be a simple divorce may become very expensive for Jeremy Renner. Sonni Pacheco – who married “The Bourne Legacy” actor in January 2014 – is asking for primary custody of their 22-month-old daughter Ava, claiming his house is unsafe due to an unfenced swimming pool and unsecured gun collection. She’s also demanding child support, attorney fees, and other legal expenses. Sources connected with Renner say he’s already given Sonni everything she’s asked for … now she’s getting grabby.

★ On the heels of the huge success of “American Sniper”($318 million to date), The Weinstein Company plans to develop another true-life sniper tale as a TV miniseries. The studio will adapt Nicholas Irving’s book “The Reaper: Autobiography of One Of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers” for a 5-night series, with production set to begin this Summer. Special Ops sniper Irving was the US Army 3rd Ranger Battalion’s deadliest marksman. During a 4-month period in 2009, he tallied 33 kills. A TV network is not yet attached to the miniseries.

★ Olympian-turned-reality TV star Bruce Jenner’s mom has confirmed her son is transitioning to become a woman and she says she’s not only OK with that, she’s very proud of him. Quote: “I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal  around his neck. He deserves all the respect. I support him whole-heartedly. I just love him like I always have.”

★ And actor Johnny Depp reportedly ‘can’t wait’ to wed actress-girlfriend Amber Heard. The 51-year-old “Mortdecai” star is expected to tie the knot with his 28-year-old fiancée on his private island of Little Hall’s Pond Cay in the Bahamas this weekend. The couple, who became engaged in 2013 after a year together, are said to be planning to wed on the 45-acre island in front of about 50 guests. The February date is apparently due to their work schedules: She’s filming in London and he’s getting ready to shoot the next “Pirates Of the Caribbean” in Australia.

COMING ATTRACTIONS:
A BS selection of movies in the making …
• “The Lost City of Z” – Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”) is replacing Benedict Cumberbatch to star opposite Robert Pattinson & Sienna Miller in this adaptation of the book by David Grann. In the true-life drama, Hunnam portrays British explorer Percival Fawcett, who disappeared in 1925 while searching for a mysterious city in the Amazon. The film’s due in 2016.
• “Sleepless Night” – “Django Unchained” star Jamie Foxx has taken on the lead role in this crime thriller opposite “Source Code” actress Michelle Monaghan. The pic is a remake of the 2011 French film “Nuit Blanche” (white night). It follows an underworld-linked cop who finds his family in danger after double-crossing his criminal colleagues. He ends up spending a long night trying to retrieve his kidnapped child.
• “Star Wars” stand-alone – 31-year-old “Theory of Everything” actress Felicity Jones has won the female lead in this as-yet-untitled spinoff film due in December 2016 after several actresses tested for the role in Hollywood last week. Aaron Paul and Edgar Ramirez are thought to be in the running for the male lead. Few other details have been released about the project.
• “The Taliban Shuffle” – Actor Christopher Abbott has booked a role in Tina Fey’s adaptation of journalist Kim Barker’s wartime memoir. The story is said to be a dark comedy dealing with Barker’s fish-out-of-water experience and the challenges of being a woman in wartime Afghanistan and Pakistan. Fey is producing and playing the journalist.

THE NEW MILK:
Soft drink giant Coca-Cola is introducing a new low-fat, low-sugar, high-protein milk called Fairlife. It’s advertised as being ‘cold-filtered’ with more calcium than competitors. It’s also lactose-free. And yes, it technically is real milk; the ‘Real’ seal, eligible for use by dairy product manufacturers, is proudly displayed on packaging. Samplers say it looks and feels a little thicker than traditional milk, and has a slightly richer taste. Fairlife’s aftertaste is said to be less appealing, with a malty mouth-feel that’s akin to a protein shake. (It still comes from another species … one of the freakiest things we as humans do.)

DO COLLECT $200 … OR MORE:
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the board game “Monopoly” in France, Hasbro is releasing a spacial limited-edition of 30,000 sets, replacing the fake paper money in 80 of them with real Euro notes. While 69 of the 80 winning games will have five 10-euro notes and five 20-euro notes, another 10 will have five real 20-euro notes, two 50-euro notes, and one 100-euro note. And a jackpot game replaces every game note with the real deal … a total windfall that totals 20,000 Euros. The new sets went on sale this week. While the weight isn’t noticeably different between the sets with cash and those with play money, it’s said the lucky boxes do bulge a bit. (In French, ‘Go’ is ‘Aller’.)

NO BOYS ALLOWED!
The new super-yacht La Belle is the ‘first mega yacht designed for women’. Lidia Bersani Luxury Design has just unveiled the sleek white & gold vessel which is targeted at millionaire women. Measuring 262 ft (80 m) and sleeping up to 12 people, it’s 5 decks are decorated in a breathtaking array of crystal, gold, fur, onyx, gemstones, and flowers. Features include Swarovski crystal chandeliers, gold mosaics, ice fountains, and a full spa. Yacht designer Bersani says she does not yet have a price for the luxury vessel as it is just an initial concept, but she does say, “It will not be cheap, I am sure.” (First customer … Oprah?)

TOWARD BETTER WI-FI:
No matter which router you buy, getting wireless Internet working in your home – your entire home – can turn into an impossible task. The makers of the new product Eero aim to change all that. The startup company contends it’s ready for a world of 4K streaming, where dozens of devices and smart appliances simultaneously rely on wi-fi to function 24/7. Eero is a little white box that promises simple set-up. Plug the first unit into your cable modem, then plug other units into electrical outlets throughout your house. Yes, you’ll need more than one. Three is the magic number for most homes, according to Eero, and it’s offering a pre-ordered 3-pack for $299 starting this week (shipping begins this Summer). But in exchange for that money, Eero claims it will deliver a mesh network that blankets every corner of every room in your home with strong, robust Internet connectivity. (Great idea … but a tad expensive?)
