Monthly Planning Calendar in Today’s Issue!
BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Longtime buds Matt Damon & Ben Affleck have their very own sitcom that’s been picked up by CBS-TV for a pilot. No, they won’t be acting in it, they’re just the executive producers. “More Time With the Family” will star comedian Tom Papa as a family man who doesn’t see much of his family and attempts to remedy that situation. It’s the 2nd pilot for Affleck this season, as FOX-TV has already ordered up his crime drama, “The Middle Man”.

★ Could this lead to their first big argument? Kim Kardashian wants 7-month-old daughter North West to appear on her family’s reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” (E!) … but her fiancé Kanye West does not. A source says producer Ryan Seacrest personally reached out to Kim and asked her to consider allowing ‘Nori’ on the show because fans want to see her interact with her daughter and check out her mothering skills. However, Kanye isn’t keen on the idea and reportedly shuts down the topic whenever it’s brought up.

★ Next week’s album sales chart will show the full impact of the Grammy Awards, as big winners typically see a big spike in sales in the weeks immediately following the show. That spike has already become evident this week with sales of Lorde’s “Pure Heroine” up 19%; Katy Perry’s “Prism” experiencing an 11% increase; Imagine Dragons’ “Night Visions” up 16%; and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “The Heist” with a huge 38% sales jump.

★ And in a new magazine interview, 41-year-old actress Cameron Diaz says she ‘invests’ in all her relationships, whether it be with BFFs Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow, or her (many, many) former boyfriends. She says she’s pleased to have stayed friends with all her former flames who’ve included baseball player Alex Rodriguez, singer Justin Timberlake, and actor Matt Dillon.

A SHORT HISTORY OF HALFTIME:
Until 1991, Super Bowl halftime shows were known for being largely dull affairs featuring college marching bands and local artists. But that changed at Super Bowl 25 in Tampa FL, when the Disney-sponsored halftime show starring New Kids On the Block was the first to feature a contemporary pop music artist. Yet the performance remains largely forgotten now as it wasn’t even broadcast live. ABC-TV bumped it until after the game in favor of Gulf War news coverage. NKOTB weren’t even the most memorable musical performance of the night as 1991 was also the year that Whitney Houston delivered a rousing rendition of the pre-game anthem.

EAU DE PEPPERONI:
Hot, cheesy, and fresh out-of-the-oven … exactly how a guy (or girl) wants to smell, right? Demeter’s new ‘Pizza’ fragrance offers a strong scent of dough mixed with notes of tomato sauce, mozzarella, and oregano. The most dangerous side effect may be to your diet, one tester says, as it makes you constantly think about pizza. Other reviews say it’s “intoxicating and a little off-putting”; “as romantic as a cheese slice at 2 am”; and “great, if you want to smell like garlic”. The fragrance isn’t pungent for long. After a few minutes it mellows into the soft scent of cold, leftover pizza. (Which, of course, drives a the average guy wild.)

WANT TO PRACTICE SAFE SIPPING?
Ever have to toss a fragmented wine bottle cork and resort to re-sealing the bottle using plastic wrap and a rubber band? Well as a spinoff of that idea, a mother-son duo is hoping to launch a line of … wine condoms. Instead of fitting into the neck of the bottle like traditional wine stoppers, Laura Bartlett & son’s wine condoms roll over the opening, creating a snug seal. And they add no additional height, making it easier to store the bottle in the fridge. They’re hoping to raise enough money on Kickstarter to bring their product to market. (This will never fly … the mental images of condoms will be too repugnant for wine lovers.)

BS AMAZING FACT:
China has surpassed France and Italy to become the world’s biggest consumer of red wine. The country guzzled almost 2 billion bottles last year. Red wine consumption has skyrocketed since 2007, partially because the color red signals good fortune. And more than 80% of the wine consumed is now produced domestically, making China the 5th-largest wine producer in the world. (Now it’s ‘Red China’ for a different reason.)
