BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ This should make things interesting for ‘Game of Thrones’ fans: Kit Harington has filmed three “fake” scenes to try and stop plot spoilers from leaking. The English actor will reprise his role as Jon Snow in the seventh series of the HBO fantasy-drama, which is set to premiere on Sunday. Because of the intense interest in the upcoming shows, and the fact that shows in previous seasons have been leaked, Harington has been sworn to secrecy about all storylines.

★ According to sources, Jennifer Garner confronted Lindsay Shookus about her affair with Ben Affleck back in 2015. The story goes that Garner was on a work trip to New York City when she found out about their relationship and approached Lindsay. According to the source, ‘Lindsay refused to back down or quit the affair.’ A statement thought to be released by Shookus on Twitter denying the affair was quickly revealed to be a fake on Tuesday morning. And if you believe what has been reported, the Affleck-Shookus affair actually goes all the way back to 2013.
(He’s been seeing her almost as long as he’s been seeing Matt!)

★ ‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Melissa Rauch, who plays Bernandette, is pregnant with her first child. The actress broke the news to fans in a personal essay for Glamour.com. In the article, she admits she was apprehensive about going public with her baby news after suffering a secret miscarriage.

★ Actress Vivian Leigh’s copy of the “Gone With the Wind” script is going up for auction alongside dozens of items from the late star’s personal collection. Leigh won an Academy Award for playing Scarlett O’Hara in the 1939 epic “Gone With the Wind.” The sale includes Leigh’s copy of the original novel, inscribed with a poem from author Margaret Mitchell, which carries an estimated price tag of USD $6,500 to $9,000. Also on offer is the wig Leigh wore to play Blanche DuBois in “A Streetcar Named Desire,” estimated at USD $500-800.
(Or maybe frankly, you don’t give a damn!)

★ Disney’s magic carpet ride has hit a bit of turbulence. Director Guy Ritchie and the studio are trying to wrap up a months-long search for someone to play ‘Aladdin’ in the upcoming live-action version of the cartoon classic. That search has included famous names (like Riz Ahmed and Dev Patel) and complete unknowns from around the world to play the street hustler turned prince. But finding a male lead in his 20s who can act and sing has proven difficult — especially since the studio wants someone of Middle-Eastern or Indian descent. Production was to have started this month, but the search for a male lead has dragged on, with Disney and Ritchie going back to the drawing board more than once. Will Smith is signed on to play the Genie.

★ ‘Wonder Woman’ may still be showing on the silver screen, but the sequel to the hit film is already in the works. There are multiple reports that Diana Prince will again find herself in a war zone for her next adventure, this time in the 1980s Cold War. It comes as no surprise that work on a new ‘Wonder Woman’ film is coming so quickly, with the rip-roaring success of the first Gal Gadot feature. The film has already grossed over $360 million and is the most successful DC Extended Universe film thus far.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Jay-Z – admits his marriage to Beyoncé wasn’t ”totally built” on the truth. Jay-Z said in a discussion on Tidal, “This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking.”
• Coldplay – At a show in Dublin on the weekend, singer Chris Martin spotted a young fan crowd- surfing in a wheelchair. Martin invited the stranger onstage, and the fan, named Rob, busted out his harmonica and showed off his own musical skills in front of 83,000 people.
• Jennifer Lopez – is back with Marc Anthony…at least in song. They have been working together on her new Spanish album since last year, and are seen together, albeit briefly, in the video for the first single, ‘Ni Tú Ni Yo’, which roughly translates to ‘Neither You nor I’.
• Spice Girls – Nicole Kidman and James Franco are among the celebs participating in a cover of their hit ‘Wannabe’ for ‘W’ magazine. Others in on the fun include Milo Ventimiglia, Keri Russell, and Alexander Skarsgard.
• Rolling Stones – A new book, “The Rolling Stones On Air In The Sixties”, comes out September 26th. The book will be released alongside a DVD containing recently discovered, never-before-released footage of the group filmed for the BBC, both in front of and behind the cameras.
• Queen – guitarist Brian May says that a Freddie Mercury movie is closer than ever. After 12 years, he says financing is in order and they are very close to making the official announcement. Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek will have the starring role.
• Van Morrison – has announced his 37th studio album, ‘Roll With the Punches’ will be released this fall and supported with tour dates in the U.S. and U.K. Due in stores on Sept. 22, the 15-song track listing blends new original numbers with covers of classic blues numbers.
• Maren Morris – has announced her engagement to singer Ryan Hurd. She posted the news on Instagram.
ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER $3.50:
Warren Buffet says that when he was young, he devised a way to save $300,000 over his lifetime by adjusting his haircut schedule. Now, I’m thinking that he must go to a much fancier barber than me, but if we tend to spend that much on hair care, Yay baldness! There is a story going around these days showing how if you are a young adult and you invested the $3.50 per day that you normally spend on coffee, you would wind up with $106,000 in 30 years! Of course that assumes an average annual return of 6%…and I don’t think that even Warren Buffett gets that on his haircut savings!
(It all sounds great…until that one morning that your $3.50 coffee RIGHT NOW is worth more than $106,000 in 30 years…)
($106,000…minus taxes, inflation, depreciation, market fluctuations, brokerage fees and at least one major recession, and you will probably actually end up with…..about $3.50…and a major caffeine-withdrawal headache!)
(Would the same apply to my $3.50 per day avocado toast habit?)

STREAM WARS:
For better or worse (probably for better…) Psy’s 2012 hit ‘Gangham Style’ has finally been dethroned as the most-viewed video on YouTube. It had held the title for 5 years, but then along came Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s music video for ‘See You Again,’ which currently sits at or around 2.9 billion views, about 2 million more than Gangham Style.
There rest of the top 5:
○ Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose: The Movement’ version of “Sorry,” 2.635 billion views.
○ Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk” – 2.55 billion
○ Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito’ – 2.483 billion
(Finally, a #1 video that I know how to pronounce!)
(Still waiting for Psy’s big follow-up hit over here!)
(Gangham Style was in 2012? Has Psy’s imaginary horse dance really been my go-to move for that long?)

MO’ MONEY:
Many people were shocked to hear that boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather claims that he is unable to pay off his 2015 tax liabilities until gets his cash from next month’s fight with Conor McGregor. He has filed a petition with the tax court to request a reprieve in the meantime. Reports show that he is in hawk with the man to the tune of $22.2 million. But we also know this: He is listed by ‘Forbes’ as being worth $40 million. In 2015, he showed off his car collection on TV and pronounced it to be worth $15 million. So although he may not have the cash, he certainly could get it by selling something. But he doesn’t want to. Now, rapper 50 Cent, a man who also has some interesting financial claims in his past (see ‘Today’s Music Event’) has Instagrammed a photo of Mayweather with a lap full of cash and a caption reading “Floyd was just on Facetime with me. He had 20 million cash with him. He just don’t want to pay. LOL.” Mayweather shot back that he has already payed Uncle Sam over $26 million in taxes in 2015.
(The dude’s NAME is money!….actually both of them!)
(I know this: Mayweather is one guy that I wouldn’t trash-talk. Unless I was McGregor…)

BS BUZZWORDS:
Cutting-edge vocab …

• ‘Runcommute’ – A run between one’s home and workplace. (As soon as it started to rain, I started to runcommute!)
