BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Sorry, “Game of Thrones” fans … as feared, the HBO show’s 7th season won’t be here until Summer 2017 (typically, the new season arrives in Spring), and it will only be 7-episodes-long instead of 10. Producers say the storylines of the next season are better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing. They’ve previously said the entire series will run 73 hours, so if there are 7 episodes in Season 7, there will likely be 6 episodes in the show’s 8th and final season, though that hasn’t been confirmed.

★ “Finding Dory” is still swimming … straight to the top of the box office. Disney has announced that as of this past weekend, the “Finding Nemo” sequel has reeled in over $445 million in domestic box office, surpassing “Shrek 2” as the highest-grossing domestic animated movie of all-time. “Finding Dory” also boasts over $721 million internationally after opening in Japan, Mexico, and Hong Kong. It has yet to debut in markets like the UK, Italy, and Germany. Disney has officially crossed the $2 billion domestic mark, becoming the fastest movie studio in history to do so. The studio’s global total for 2016 is now over $5 billion.

★ And “Ghostbusters” is getting its first-ever theme park ride. A new interactive ride called ‘Ghostbusters: Battle for New York’ at Motiongate Dubai in the United Arab Emirates equips riders with their own proton packs with the goal of shooting as many ghosts as possible. The ‘Ecto-Pod’ cars carry guests along replicas of NYC rooftops, where projections of some of the franchise’s iconic ghosts, such as ‘Slimer’ and the ‘Stay Puft Marshmallow Man’, appear and taunt riders. The ride and a “Ghostbusters”-themed diner open this October.

• Chris Stapleton – He, alongside James Taylor and Vince Gill, are booked to headline the next “All For the Hall” event in Los Angeles on September 27th. The benefit will be a traditional guitar pull supporting the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s education programs.
• Drake – Tonight his “Summer Sixteen Tour” gets underway in Austin TX and visits 30 cities across North America. Future is opening all dates, with additional special guests scheduled.
• Justin Bieber – He’s gone unrecognized in NYC’s Central Park while playing Pokémon Go. Despite being one of the most famous people in the world, nobody paid the ‘Love Yourself’ singer any attention as he joined dozens of others staring at their smartphones.
• Led Zeppelin – Previously unheard recordings are getting a new lease on life later this year in a collection of remastered session recordings. “The Complete BBC Sessions” will include the first broadcast of “Stairway to Heaven” in 1971, as well as 8 unreleased tracks.
• Selena Gomez – She sleeps in a ”sweat bed” to cleanse her body of toxins. The 23-year-old singer says she wears a ”space suit” for 45 minutes, 3 times per week, which makes her sweat out all of the bad toxins. (Don’t do anything to those cute, fat little cheeks!)
• Snoop Dogg / Wiz Khalifa – Their co-headlining “Higher Road Tour” starts tonight in West Palm Beach FL and visits 33 cities, winding up September 2nd in Seattle WA.
• Jennifer Lopez – The 46-year-old has been performing her “All I Have” show at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Vegas off and on since January. Due to huge demand an extra 21 dates have now been added. The extra shows run from December through June 2017.
• Taylor Swift – She’s done hiding under the pseudonym ‘Nils Sjoberg’ as writer of ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris’ hit “This Is What You Came For”. BMI confirms she’s now being credited with co-writing the track under her real name. (Taylor needs to go away for a while, right?)

Foreign diners in South Korea often struggle to work out what restaurants plan to cook for them thanks to baffling menu translations. That’s why a government task force has been set up, aimed at ridding menus of confusing or embarrassing translations of Korean dishes. Language and food experts are being teamed up to agree on standardized descriptions for the country’s cuisine in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Among the baffling – and often amusing – translations spotted on menus over the past few years …

THE NEW HAIRCLOTH:
Late designer Alexander McQueen was always pushing the boundaries in fashion. That’s why Tina Gorjanc thinks he’d love her new project, which aims to make clothing from McQueen’s skin … at least, skin grown from his DNA. The recent fashion school grad plans to use DNA from McQueen’s hair, included in a 1992 collection, to grow skin that can be tanned and turned into bags and jackets. She’s already applied for a patent that would give her ownership of the lab-grown skin – including freckles, moles, even tattoos – though she can’t patent his DNA itself. The goal isn’t to sell the items, but to start a conversation about safeguards for genetic information. (Wow, this fits like a second skin. Creepy.)

20-year-old Danesha Couch of Kansas City KS has given birth to her 3rd set of twins … in just over 2 years. Couch delivered 2 boys 26 months ago. One of them died, but the survivor, Danarius, is a busy toddler. She also has twin 1-year-olds, Delilah & Davina, and last month, Dalanie & Darla were born. They just arrived home after 3 weeks in neonatal intensive care. Couch claims she hasn’t undergone any fertility treatments. (She needs to acquire another chapter from the “Book of Names”.)
