★ 33-year-old model Miranda Kerr has announced her engagement to 26-year-old Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel by posting a pic showing a huge diamond ring on her left hand. The Victoria’s Secret model began dating the entrepreneur in 2015 after meeting a year earlier at a dinner in NYC organized by designer Louis Vuitton. “Forbes” estimates Spiegel’s net worth at $2.1 billion. Kerr has previously been married to actor Orlando Bloom (2010-13); they have a 5-year-old son, Flynn.

★ Netflix will distribute CBS-TV’s new “Star Trek” show worldwide, bringing the series to 188 countries outside of the United States and Canada. New episodes of the Bryan Fuller series will be made available on Netflix 24 hours after they air on the CBS streaming service, All Access. The companies also confirm that every single previous “Star Trek” series, including the original and “The Next Generation”, will be available on Netflix by the end of 2016. The new series begins shooting this September in Toronto ON and premieres in January 2017.

★ And Pokémon is getting a live-action film treatment. Legendary Entertainment and The Pokémon Company are teaming up for the project, which centers on ‘Detective Pikachu’. Additional details are being kept under wraps at the moment. While this will be the first live-action film, the franchise has previously lit up the bigscreen in animated form, beginning with “Pokémon: The First Movie” in 1999. The videogame series was first introduced in 1996. The new live-action film is being fast-tracked for production to start in 2017.

• Rob Thomas / Counting Crows – Their co-headlining Summer tour kicks off tonight in West Palm Beach FL and winds up in Nashville TN on September 30th.
• Tragically Hip – Tonight in Victoria BC they embark on the “Man Machine Poem” tour, which will be their last due to lead singer Gord Downie’s incurable brain cancer. The 15-gig trek winds up August 20th in Kingston ON, where the iconic Canadian rock band formed in 1984.
• Zac Brown Band – Today the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville TN unveils the new exhibit “Homegrown: Zac Brown Band”. The exhibition includes stage wear, guitars, song manuscripts, and personal photos; it runs through July 2017.

✓ Public displays of affection are out, although holding hands or a quick ‘hello’ hug are OK.
✓ While couples typically won’t have trouble being admitted, singles might unless they have ‘nudist experience’.
✓ You can’t look sexy. Provocative lingerie, dresses, or tight jeans aren’t welcome.
