★ Almost a month after rumors Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had arranged a deal with a surrogate to carry their third child, a new report confirms that a woman hired by the couple is three months pregnant. The woman, in her late 20s, has experience as a surrogate and will most likely give birth shortly after the new year.
(I hope that kid knows what he or she is in for!)

★ Angelina Jolie has revealed that she has secretly battled Bell’s Palsy and hypertension since her split from Brad Pitt. Jolie, who has taken drastic preventative measures to stay clear of cancer which claimed the life of her mother, says she is happy that now she is putting her family first, and is in charge of her life and health.

★ Justin Bieber agreed to appear in David Hasselhoff’s new movie as a favor to the actor. Bieber makes a cameo appearance in ‘Killing Hasselhoff’.  Hasselhoff agreed to let Bieber drive KITT, the famous ‘Knight Rider’ car from the TV show.  According to The Hoff, Justin is in the very last scene in the movie.  Bieber also provides the voice for the car.
(Yes.  It’s a comedy.)

★ Wonder Woman will be back on the big screen in time for the 2019 holiday season. Warner Bros. has announced that ‘Wonder Woman 2′ is officially slated to hit theaters Dec. 13, 2019, a date the studio recently staked out for an undisclosed “WB event film.” The sequel will also be screened in IMAX.

★ The next TV series to come back might be….‘Lost’?  Lost creator, Damon Lindelof says he is excited by the prospect of series revival, but it isn’t something he would be involved in.  Why?  He says that he and his crew worked so hard to end their story, that to come back and say, ‘Well, that wasn’t the real ending,’ would be frustrating.”

• John Mayer – has gone on record in support of Justin Bieber’s decision to cancel the remainder of his tour.  Mayer tweeted, “When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” and “We’ve lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [credit] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”
• Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee – have condemned the use of their hit “Despacito” by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro at a rally to support his upcoming referendum.  The controversial vote is said to be a possible destroyer of democracy in the country.
• OneRepublic – have paid tribute to Oasis with a reverent cover of ‘Champagne Supernova.’ It is part of Spotify’s ‘Music Happens Here’ series.
• Zayn Malik – slept on a mattress for six months when he first moved to Los Angeles. He admits he didn’t purchase any furniture for his LA home for half a year, and enjoyed he ‘minimalistic’ feel of sleeping on nothing but a mattress.
• Britney Spears –  An umbrella she used to attack a photographer’s car in 2007 will be auctioned off next month and paparazzo Daniel Ramos hopes it will fetch around $50,000.
• JAY-Z – has explained the meaning behind the title of his latest album ‘4:44′, but a new theory arose when a fan pointed out how the numbers coincide with the site of a particularly chaotic moment from the rapper’s past. The Standard hotel is where Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles attacked JAY-Z in an elevator after the Met Ball in 2014. The address of Le Bain, the hotel’s rooftop bar, is 444 West 13th Street.
• John Mellencamp – seems to have sorted things out with his ex Meg Ryan.  After Mellencamp said in March that she ‘hates him to death’, they were spotted together in New York City.
• Journey – their latest venture will see the band spinning its wheels and going in circles. Rookie racecar driver Ryan Norman will be sitting behind the wheel of a Mazda emblazoned with Journey’s logo.  The band are Norman’s sponsors. (The Wheel in the…..Mazda? Keeps on turnin’…)
• Peter Frampton – has issued an apology for an incident during a concert Welch, MN. Frampton halted his performance in response to a camera operator putting a fan holding old Frampton album covers on the video screens, which caused the crowd to erupt during a quiet part of the show.  Frampton halted the show, returning to the stage later without the use of video screens.
• Ringo Starr – says he is “amazed” at the continued relevance of The Beatles’ music.
• Keith Urban – and Frankie Ballard had a blast jamming together on stage in Monticello, Iowa  when they covered the Georgia Satellites’ 1986 hit “Keep Your Hands to Yourself.”
• Garth Brooks – has offered to pay the college tuition fees for two fans’ unborn children after revealing their baby’s sex onstage in Los Angeles. The tuition offer was Garth’s latest act of generosity – earlier this month, he vowed to pay for a couple’s honeymoon to Hawaii after they  became engaged at his concert in Oklahoma.

DRINKIN’ TO REMEMBER:
Conventional wisdom has it that alcohol has a negative effect on memory. But a new study claims that social drinking might actually be good for your memory. The study found that social drinkers actually retained information learned before they started drinking better than social drinkers who didn’t drink at all.  And sit down for this one:  The study found that memory improved the MORE they drank.  Mind blown.  The study was done at the University of Exeter, and people classified as ‘social drinkers’ were broken into two groups. Each group was given a word-learning exercise. Afterward, one group was told they were allowed to drink and the other group was told not to drink. What the researchers found was the group that drank retained more of what they’d learned the previous day than the sober group. And yes, participants actually performed better on the memory learning task the more they’d drank after the experiment.  While the cause for these surprising results is not fully understood, the thinking is that alcohol blocks the learning of new information and therefore the brain has more resources available to lay down other recently learned information into long-term memory.  But please keep in mind: We are talking about ‘social drinking’ here, not what you might have planned for today after work.
(Now could you tell me which drink it is that marks the move from ‘social’ to ‘I’m not going to remember a stinkin’ thing tomorrow?”)

CAT TALE:
If you have a cat, you’ve seen it.  Some days they just seem afraid of their food dish.  They might bat the food around with their paws, or avoid the bowl entirely.  Now, we might know why.  Whisker fatigue.  That’s right, it’s a thing.  When cats have to stick their faces into deep bowls and their whiskers rub against the sides, the experience can be stressful, prompting them to bat the food onto the floor, fight with other cats, or grow apprehensive at mealtimes.  Use of a bowl which interferes with a cats whiskers can also lead to cat acne, known as ‘catne’.  The solution?  A wider bowl.  Of course, now some pet-supply companies have come to the rescue as well.  They will be happy to sell you their new ‘whisker-friendly’ cat dishes….1-inch deep and 5-inches wide…..for $40!
(Orrrrrr cats are just finicky.)
(Stressful? She sleeps 23 hours a day, doesn’t work, rules the household, and is treated like royalty.  I didn’t think she knew what stress was!)

FLY THE FIZZY SKIES:
What do you ask for when the flight attendant comes by?  The ‘free’ in-flight beverage service is one of the last perks afforded to travelers these days, but here is something you should know if you want to remain on good terms with the friendly flight crew.  They hate serving Diet Coke.  Why?  The fizz. Diet Coke is the most hated beverage of flight attendants because apparently when Diet Coke cans are opened while the plane is in flight, the fizzy bubbles are insane compared to the carbonation back on land. This makes pouring Diet Coke into those tiny plastic cups a time-consuming nightmare for flight attendants.
****BS FUN FACT: Apparently a lot of flight passengers love to order tomato juice while flying because it tastes different in the air.
(My solution? Give me the entire can!  I won’t spew the fizz.  Honest.)
(Just like pouring your Diet Coke at Wendy’s.  But worse.)
(Plus, then they have to spend that much longer engaging in small talk and smiling that ‘flight attendant smile’.)
