★ Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) has been unveiled as the latest face of Prada menswear. He’s fronting the Italian brand’s Fall collection in a series of photos taken by fashion photographer Craig McDean. It isn’t the first time he’s modeled for a major fashion house; he also worked for Brit brand Burberry in 2008 before becoming a full-time actor. Since hitting the big-time, Redmayne has made it onto almost every ‘Best Dressed Male’ list there is.

★ “Titanic” director James Cameron is heading back to the high seas to executive produce a documentary about the mythical island of Atlantis. The “Avatar” filmmaker is teaming with National Geographic Channel to develop the expedition documentary “Search for Atlantis”. Cameron promises the exploration team will investigate several new theories about where the real Atlantis was, and who the mysterious people who lived there were. The 2-hour doc will be shot in Sicily, Malta, Crete, Santorini, Sardinia, and Spain. It premieres this Winter.

★ And Amber Heard is now saying she doesn’t want Johnny Depp or anyone else thinking her domestic violence allegation is a play for his money. Her lawyer has filed a declaration saying she’s withdrawing her request for temporary spousal support, which would have been handled during tomorrow’s restraining order hearing … but she’s now taken that off the table. Important to note: Amber’s not saying she doesn’t want support. In the docs, she reserves the right to go for spousal support in their divorce … AFTER the restraining order is handled tomorrow.

• Kanye West – He’s announced a 2-month North America tour in support of his album “The Life of Pablo”. The “Saint Pablo Tour” begins August 25th in Indianapolis IN and winds up in Las Vegas NV October 29th. This is Ye’s first full tour in 3 years.
• Lil Wayne – He’s “in stable condition and good spirits” after suffering 2 “minor” seizures Monday afternoon, according to his reps. His private jet made a 2nd emergency landing in Omaha NE after Weezy initially refused medical treatment. If this sounds like deja vu, you’re right … Wayne also made 2 emergency landings due to health issues in 2012.
• Maren Morris – Her 2nd single, “80s Mercedes”, was first released on her EP last year and is also included on her major label full-length album, “Hero”, which came out June 3rd.
• Maroon 5 – Adam Levine has offered to pay for the funeral for Christina Grimmie, the singer gunned down after a Florida concert. He’s also offering to foot the bill for Grimmie’s mother’s flight to the event. Levine mentored Grimmie on NBC-TV’s “The Voice” 2 years ago.
• Rolling Stones – “Downton Abbey” director Andy Goddard is set to direct the upcoming biopic “Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with The Rolling Stones”, set to begin shooting later this year. It’s a feature-length adaptation of Robert Greenfield’s book of the same name. The search is on for actors who can play late-20s versions of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine has issued its first-ever sleep guidelines for children. The recommendations are based on a review of scientific evidence on sleep duration and health. Recommended sleep duration is as follows …
• 12-to-16 hours, including naps, for infants aged 4 months-to-12 months.
• 11-to-14 hours, including naps, for children aged 1-to-2 years.
• 10-to-13 hours, including naps, for children aged 3-to-5.
• 9-to-12 hours for children aged 6-to-12 years.
• 8-to-10 hours for teens aged 13-to-18.
Adequate sleep is linked with improved attention, behavior, learning, and mental and physical health at every age covered. (Also a good way to measure ‘grumpiness’.)

• A Dalhousie University study has found that almost all shark species have declined by half in the past 15-to-20 years.

IT’S OVER, PERIOD:
Hardly anyone’s using periods as full stops in sentences any more and it’s all social media’s fault. Linguists say it’s fairly obvious a sentence has come to an end in a text message, so periods are rarely used to indicate a full stop. However, Millennials are now using them in a slightly different way, to show annoyance, sarcasm, and even aggression. It’s making the period an emoticon of sorts. For instance ‘fine.’ is seen as an angrier version of ‘fine’ without a period. Periods are also used for emphasis, as in Best. Food. Ever. Or in word form as in: “I am not going – period”. While period punctuation may be disappearing, the exclamation mark is becoming worked to death as in, “Yes I will, fantastic!!!!!!” (In truth, rarely is even one ! needed.)
