BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Kanye West has been booed off the stage at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester TN … again. Friday night was highly anticipated by fest-goers eager to see his return to the Bonnaroo stage after 6 years. Back in 2008 he got the same treatment after appearing 6 hours late for his headlining act. Seems it was deja vu all over again this weekend as Kanye took the stage to rousing applause and boos that were just as deafening. They only intensified when he stopped the show to deliver a 10-minute rant on the importance of hard work, believing in yourself, and well, just being Kanye.

★ It’s being reported that Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa will play ‘Aqua Man’ in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League” films. 34-year-old Momoa is best known for his role as the ‘Dothraki’ warrior king ‘Khal Drogo’ on HBO’s mega-hit series “Game of Thrones”. He vigorously denied back in May that he was taking on the ‘Aquaman’ role, but now online entertainment site HitFlix is reporting that it’s a go. “Batman v Superman” is scheduled for release May 6, 2016.

★ One of the traditions of Saturday’s ‘Queen’s Birthday’ celebration in Britain is the annual  ‘Birthday Honours List’ which recognizes outstanding achievement. Actor Daniel Day-Lewis, the first to win 3 ‘Best Actor’ Academy Awards, has received a knighthood for ‘services to drama’. Actress Angelina Jolie, meanwhile, has been made an ‘honorary dame’ for services to UK foreign policy and campaigning to end sexual violence in war zones. As a non-Brit, however, she is not authorized to be called ‘Dame Angelina’. Also on the list, a ‘very surprised’ Damian Lewis, who plays ‘ Nicholas Brody’ on Showtime’s “Homeland”, who receives the Order Of the British Empire (OBE).

• The Beatles – NBC-TV has recruited “The Tudors” creator & producer Michael Hirst to write a new series which will tell the story of the Fab Four’s rise to global superstardom. The program is still in the early stages of development, reports Deadline.com.
• Broken Bells – Tonight in St Louis MO they begin another round of North American tour dates in support of their 2nd studio album, “After the Disco”. The trek runs through August 11th in Portland OR.
• Foo Fighters – They’ve agreed to play an upcoming show in Richmond VA after local fans completely organized and funded the event. “Rolling Stone” reports fans surpassed their goal of raising $70,000 for the ‘crowdsourced’ concert. That sufficiently impressed the band, who tweeted: “Well, well, well … See ya soon … Let’s have a good time.”
• Iggy Azalea – Her comedian-father Brendan James Kelly is releasing a series of naughty “children’s books” in his native Australia. The new tomes, which hit stores this week are not really for kids, as they include titles like “The Perfect Poo” and “The Runt Who Said C—”.
• Kanye West – He reportedly dislikes employees who wear brightly colored clothing or who look him straight in the eye when speaking. Word has it anyone guilty of either faux pas is told to stay out of his way whenever he’s around.
• Pearl Jam – Their Summer 2014 European tour begins tonight in Amsterdam in The Netherlands and continues through July 11th at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK.
• Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger apparently met the brunette he was recently photographed with on a hotel balcony in Switzerland 3 weeks before the death of his girlfriend L’wren Scott. The mystery female has been identified as 27-year-old American ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick. A rep says ‘nothing happened between them’ until they reconnected this month.

BS STYLE STATEMENTS:
✓ Khloe Kardashian has brought so-called ‘Thigh-Window Jeans’ to the fashion forefront. The worn-out looking duds feature gaping holes between the kneecap and the upper thigh. One theory is that Khloe is a messy eater so bought jeans that offer up only skin in the ‘spill zone’.
– TheFrisky.com
✓ If you get chilly around the campfire on a Summer evening you may want to put on a ‘swacket’. What’s that? It’s a combo sweater-jacket. It may have buttons, maybe even a collar. ‘Swackett’ with 2 Ts is a new app that helps you decide what to wear based on the weather.

• Bosnia-Herzegovina – A sound-proof screen between players’ and coaches’ dining areas.

THE NEXT BIG THING?
It appears the rumors about Amazon introducing a new 3-D smartphone are true. The company is expected to launch the phone this week at a news conference in Seattle WA. Is the world ready for a phone with 4 cameras and a 3-D screen? Amazon is teasing the unveiling with an online promotional video showing consumers looking down at a device in total awe. One analyst envisions a vivid screen that won’t require glasses to see 3-D images. Another expects the 4 cameras may be used to navigate through the phone’s features via facial gestures. An obvious use for the gizmo would be watching 3-D movies. (So far, this is all speculation … we’ll find out the truth on Wednesday.)

SCIENTIFIC TRICKS FOR MAKING YOUR HOME MORE COMFORTABLE:
✓ Certain smells can affect your mood. Citrus is stimulating while vanilla and lavender aid relaxation.
✓ Keep electronics out of the bedroom, or at least stash them away. The ambient light emitted by cellphones, TVs, etc can suppress the body’s ability to produce melatonin during sleep.
✓ Make your bed even if no one sees it. Studies show it increases your productivity for the rest of the day and can even make you  overall happier.
✓ Artificial light makes people more stressed than normal daylight. If you’re home during the day, throw open the curtains and let the sun shine in.
✓ Studies show that people who sleep in bedrooms with blue walls report longer, more restful nights of sleep.
✓ Houseplants not only make your home feel more inviting, they can help improve a home’s air quality.

If you were to remove all of the empty space from the atoms that make up every human on Earth, the entire world population could fit into an apple.

• Give one guy on each team a powerful jet pack.
• Naked penalty kicks.
• Instead of 22 players and 1 ball, 1 player and 22 woodchucks.
