BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Joan Rivers’ daughter Melissa has been confirmed as the new host of the E! TV show “Fashion Police”, alongside Giuliana Rancic and Brad Gorescki. The trio will be joined by 2 guest presenters each week. The 47-year-old has been a long-time producer on the show and agreed to follow in her late mother’s footsteps and also appear in front of the camera after Kathy Griffin quit as Joan’s replacement after just 7 episodes. The show returns August 31st with coverage of the “MTV Video Music Awards”.

★ Former Hollywood couple Antonio Banderas & Melanie Griffith have reportedly sold their Los Angeles property for a whopping $15.94 million, $10 million+ over what they paid for it. The 54-year-old actor and his 57-year-old estranged wife, who tied the knot in 1996, opted to sell the Hancock Park enclave after announcing their decision to divorce ‘in a loving and friendly manner’ a year ago. The property – which dates back to the 1920s – has reportedly been sold to Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer at Netflix.

★ Ashton Kutcher & Danny Masterson have signed on for a new Netflix comedy series, “The Ranch”, from the executive producers of Kutcher’s last show “Two-and-a-Half Men”. It’s described as a multi-camera comedy about a former pro football player who returns to Colorado to help run his family’s ranch business. Kutcher and Masterson previously worked together on the FOX-TV comedy “That 70’s Show” (1998-2006). The streaming service is eyeing a 20-episode order for the new show, to be released in two 10-episode batches in 2016.

BS THINGS THAT ONLY TALL GIRLS UNDERSTAND:
Sunday is “Tall Girl Appreciation Day”, honoring above-average females on the longest day of the year. A few of the indignities tall girls put up with …
• Boys always being shorter until the last year of high school.
• Being asked to stand at the back or kneel down in the front for class photos.
• Worrying if your blind date will be shorter than you.
• Having to wear flat shoes all the time.
• There’s no such thing as jeans that fit your waist perfectly and are also appropriate length; sleeves are never long enough; and dresses are always REALLY short.
• You have bad posture from crouching down to hear people and/or trying to appear shorter.
• You’re always asked to play basketball even if you don’t like it or aren’t any good at it.
• Complete strangers seem to need to tell you that you are tall. “Well hello up there!”
• Sitting on a plane where the person in front has the seat reclined all the way back.
• You’ve experienced that awkward period where you felt clunky and mannish next to all your tiny friends. This is known as … childhood.

WHAT YOUR NAIL COLOR SAYS ABOUT YOU:
According to color therapists, different colors correlate to different moods. For example, deep red exemplifies ‘courage’, pink exudes ‘solace’, and plum is associated with ‘passion’. And since hands are great places to receive and transmit energy, the experts say nail polish is a great way to wear color that affects your mood. (Guy question: If your fingernail’s are black, is it from accidently hitting ’em with a hammer?)

DID YOU KNOW?
Rules preventing an artist’s songs being used by politicians without permission only apply to their use in actual campaign ads … not rallies, parades, etc.
