Hey!  New Sheets!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ A real life “Deadliest Catch” ship is now available … for a small fortune. “The Time Bandit”, which debuted on the hit Discovery show in season 2, has hit the market for a whopping $2.9 million.  The auction firm handling the sale describes it as a 113-foot boat that can hold 175,000 pounds of crab. You may recall that one of the captains — Neil Hillstrand — filed for divorce and, according to documents, agreed to fork over $10k to his estranged wife, IF he and his brothers ever sold the boat.

★ Brie Larson made Captain Marvel’s opening weekend a memorable one for some lucky fans. She dropped by a movie theater to surprise the crowd during a screening of her new Marvel movie. Decked out in a custom jumpsuit mirroring her costume on the film, Larson sipped on a cup with her face on it as she went in to surprise the audience. Captain Marvel broke box office records over the weekend, soaring to a $153 million debut.

★ Mandy Moore made her way into “Family Guy” this week as Quagmire’s daughter, although they met under unfortunate circumstances. She joined the raunchy cartoon cast on Sunday as Courtney, an 18-year-old daughter that Quagmire never knew he had. The two even share some of the same habits and predilections, which almost led to a taboo hook-up on the show. The show has had some massive cameos over the years, and some stars have even played recurring roles. The Mandy Moore episode paid homage to two such celebrities who passed away while working on the show: Carrie Fisher and Adam West.

★ Kevin Hart has lined up his next stand-up special, this time with Netflix. “Kevin Hart: Irresponsible” was filmed last September during Hart’s stop at London’s O2 Arena. In the hourlong set, Hart “touches upon his friends, family, travel … and a year filled with Irresponsible behavior.” It will debut on Tuesday, April 2.
(Unless someone digs up some more embarrassing old tweets…)

★ Conor McGregor was arrested on Monday for allegedly smashing the phone of a fan outside a hotel in Miami Beach. The owner of the phone was walking out of the hotel at the same time as McGregor and as the fan attempted to take a photo, the phone was slapped out of his hand, causing it to fall to the ground. McGregor then allegedly stomped on the phone several times, damaging it. He was booked for robbery and criminal mischief over $1,000 and has since posted bail.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Drake – left the song ‘Don’t Matter to Me’ off the setlist for the first show of the UK leg of his tour in Manchester.  The song features the voice of Michael Jackson.
Jonas Brothers – Their new song ‘Sucker’ has debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 12 years after the brothers first made the list as teenagers in 2007.  The comeback single makes them the first group to debut at the top in over 20 years and the first family band to ever bow at number one.
• Bon Jovi – are teasing new music. They played a snippet of a new song on Instagram over the weekend from a Nashville recording studio. At the end of the 30-second video, Jon Bon Jovi simply said: ”Day one, song one, new record, see ya!”
• Red Hot Chili Peppers – are not only performing at the pyramids in Egypt, but the concert will be livestreamed.  Their concert this Friday concert from Giza can be viewed on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
• Rush — The book “Rush: Wandering the Face of the Earth: The Official Touring History” will be released on Oct. 15. It was written by Skip Daley and Eric Hansen, with a foreword by Les Claypool of Primus and afterword by former Police drummer Stewart Copeland.
• Queen – There could be a sequel to their biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. A former video director for the band and close friend of Freddie Mercury says that a second film is “being heavily discussed in the Queen family.”
• Brett Eldredge – says his song ‘Love Someone’ was inspired by the few months that he ditched his smartphone in favor of a simple flip phone in order to spend more time “looking around”.  He says the song is about realizing the best kind of love is the kind you don’t overthink.
• Luke Bryan – After a busy 2018 caused his song writing to stop being a priority, he feels energized in that department lately.  Quote: “I’ve been so excited, the past month I’ve really been working with a lot of my songwriter friends and trying some new songwriters…I do have some music recorded that I’m excited about, like really, really excited about.”

TRASH REMOVAL:
Finally, a useful reason to post a selfie! The “Trashtag Challenge” is a new viral challenge spreading across social media, and its goal is to make the world a cleaner place.  The idea behind the Trashtag Challenge is to inspire people on Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit to take a walk outside and clean up any litter they stumble upon.  People are encouraged to seek out a litter-filled area or overflowing trashcan, clean it up, and then share before and after photos online (usually in the form of a selfie) using the hashtag #trashtag.  The hashtag has been around for years, but the movement has gained traction again recently, thanks to recent reposts explaining the challenge.
(That might go a long way in explaining how my car went missing…)
(There are certainly worse online challenges you could be a part of…I’m looking at you, Tide Pod, Bird Box and Kiki!)
(I would like to Trashtag Challenge someone to pop into my garage on the weekend…)

RUNNER’S CHOICE:
I’m sure it is one of those questions that’s always in the back of your mind, just like “How do they get the soft creamy caramel inside the chocolatey pockets of the Caramilk bar?”  But in this case, I’m referring to the question: “Is running on the treadmill as good for me as running outside?”  According to “Greatist”, while the treadmill definitely has a lower impact on your joints compared to running outside, they also involve running on a moving surface, so your hamstrings don’t have to work as hard.  That means if you are running on a treadmill, you should also do some cross training to target those muscles.  Running outside, however, involves maneuvering around the variations and obstacles that come with the natural environment. Doing so has benefits such engaging additional muscle groups and improving your reflexes.  Treadmills certainly win the day when it comes to convenience and when trying to get your run in during adverse weather conditions.  But as scientists from the University of Exeter put it, running and exercising in natural environments is “associated with greater feelings of revitalization and positive engagement, decreases in tension, confusion, anger and depression, and an overall increase in energy levels and well-being.”
(On the other hand, running on a treadmill is associated with a 50% chance that you’ll be exposed to the smell of the freshly-used catbox in the next room!)
(Before picking one over the other, first ask yourself this question: “Will I be running with my dog?”)
(Easy answer:  I don’t care.  Now, back to the part about the soft creamy caramel…)
