BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ John Stamos is taking his love for Nick Jonas to a whole new level! The “Fuller House” star seems to have gotten some fresh ink…of the Jonas brother’s face on his forearm. Stamos shared a picture taken during the tattooing process on Friday, writing, “#jobrosforlife. Besides the tattoo artist, he also had a professional camera man by his side, so it’s safe to say this is most likely a prank. Stamos and Nick have been going back and forth trying to one-up each other for a while now. The singer started it when he wore a John Stamos t-shirt. The actor followed up with a pillow of the Jo Bros. face.

★ Mama June was arrested last week after a domestic incident with her boyfriend that landed both of them in jail. Alabama police got a call that 2 people were in a confrontation and when they arrived, they saw enough to arrest Geno Doak for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Mama June was cuffed for felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. According to a report, she was found with a glass pipe with white residue and a green pill bottle containing a white controlled substance. The report says that June indicated that the white substance was crack cocaine.

★ Just after Hallmark Channel cut ties with Lori Loughlin, it looks like she is out of Netflix’s “Fuller House” as well. The show will air its fifth and final season on Netflix in the fall, and sources say that there are no current plans for her to return. Loughlin and her husband were among 50 people indicted in the nationwide college admissions bribery case last week. She has had a recurring part on Fuller House, reprising her role from the 1987-95 ABC sitcom “Full House”. Sunday’s episode of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart”, was pulled from the schedule. Hallmark says it’s “evaluating all creative options” regarding the show’s future.

★ Disney is taking back James Gunn, the creative force behind its “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie franchise, reversing its contentious decision in July to fire the filmmaker for offensive jokes he wrote on Twitter several years ago. It is unclear to what degree Disney was influenced by blowback from “Guardians” fans over Gunn’s ouster, but Hundreds of thousands of people signed a Change.org petition asking Disney to reconsider. At the time of his firing, “Guardians” cast members condemned the decision as an overreaction to the “mob mentality” of the internet.

★ Netflix is cancelling “One Day at a Time” after three seasons. In a statement, the streaming service’s chief content officer called it “disappointing” that more viewers didn’t discover the sitcom, which was among the few TV series with Latinos as the lead characters. Justina Machado played a single Cuban-American mom, with Rita Moreno as her mother. A tweet on a Netflix company account said not enough people watched to justify renewing it. It was a reboot of the original “One Day at a Time,” which aired from 1975-84 with stars Valerie Bertinelli and Bonnie Franklin.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Katy Perry – has raised some eyebrows by revealing she is open to the possibility of collaborating with former rival Taylor Swift. The duo reportedly fell out after three backing dancers left a Swift tour early to join Perry on the road in 2014. Last year, Perry mailed Swift a literal olive branch to commemorate the opening night of her “Reputation” tour.
• Soulja Boy — has been released from jail following his arrest after police allegedly found ammunition in his home while he is on probation. Police had searched his house following allegations from a woman that he had held her hostage in his garage.
• Michael Jackson — The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has removed three Michael Jackson items following the airing of the “Finding Neverland” documentary. A fedora and glove Jackson wore onstage and a Jackson poster are no longer on display. The museum’s director of collections says he wants items on display to tell stories of “people of high character.”
• U2 – want to rent four mansions at up to $10,000 per night for use during their upcoming Sydney, Australia shows, but they’re having trouble finding them. Each band member is seeking their own palatial pad for their stay in the city, but a source says that “finding huge properties for the stars and their families is proving impossible, there just isn’t that many of them available.”
• Mötley Crüe – Guitarist Mick Mars is looking for “Beatles-type” singers for his long-awaited debut solo release. Quote: “The three guys sang all these harmonies, and you could have John [Lennon] sing on a song, or Ringo [Starr], or whoever…that kind of a thing is kind of what I’m going for.”
• Alice In Chains — have released episodes one and two of a 90-minute film, “Black Antenna,” based on their “Rainer Fog” album. There will be a total of 10 episodes available on YouTube.
• The Tragically Hip — A Gord Downie tribute sculpture has been unveiled at Halifax City Hall, in a room that aims to foster conversations about Indigenous history and reconciliation. It’s the brainchild of Assembly of First Nations regional Chief Morley Googoo, who worked with Downie to make it a reality before his 2017 death.
• Eric Church – has added 13 shows to “Double Down” tour. He has announced shows in eight new cities, including Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Calgary, Sacramento and more, running through November 23rd. Pre-sales for most start tomorrow.
• Darius Rucker – revealed in an Instagram post that he is working on something with Ed Sheeran. No details yet, but Sheeran has dabbled in country music in the past, including co-writing ‘The Rest of Our Life’, which became a hit for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
OMLETTIN’ THEM GO:
I’m afraid the egg pendulum has shifted back to the “bad” position. After some recent positive studies about the health effects of egg consumption, comes the latest: People who eat three or four eggs a week have a higher risk of both heart disease and early death. The culprit? Cholesterol. Study lead Victor Zhong of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, wrote that “Eggs, especially the yolk, are a major source of dietary cholesterol.” It was found that consuming an additional 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day was associated with a 3.2% higher risk of heart disease and a 4.4% higher risk of early death over a period of 17.5 years. A single large egg contains about 186mg of cholesterol. Zhong pointed out that while that only represents a “modest” relationship between eggs and the risk of cardiovascular disease, the results should be considered in the development of dietary guidelines.
(Oh, well…back to Easter Crème Eggs!)
(I’ve got be honest. If I’m eating eggs, I’m much more worried about the 4 strips of bacon and the six sausage links that I’m eating along with them!)
(My Grandad the farmer just rolled over in his grave. Oh. Now I get it…)

A WOLF IN DOG’S CLOTHING:
Why is it that dogs make such darn great pets? It is because of the “wolf within”, according to new research. The study, published last week in “Scientific Reports”, found that dogs work well with humans due to specific characteristics that they share with wolves. They tested a group of gray wolves and a group of mixed-breed dogs to compare how they worked with humans to complete a string-pulling task. What they found was that both the dogs and the wolves were able to collaborate with the people, but the wolves were more likely to initiate, while the dogs only followed human’s actions. The researchers say that shows that dogs did not develop their cooperative abilities through domestication, but that they are naturally cooperative from their wolf-roots. It is possible that as dogs were domesticated, the more submissive dogs were used for breeding, which is why they tend to follow our human lead today.
(Then please explain to me the lack of cooperativeness I experience when I’m trying to drag my Rover from the car into the vet!)
(Did they offer up “treaties” to the wolves too?)
(…and exactly what is the going rate of pay these days for someone to participate in a “collaborative string-pulling task” with a stinkin’ wolf??!!??)

DID YOU KNOW?
Contrary to the often-repeated urban legend, an expert from the University of Melbourne says that cockroaches would not survive a nuclear apocalypse. Although roaches would survive longer than humans, some ants, which dig nests deep into the ground would be more likely to survive than cockroaches.
