BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ “Judge Judy” is coming to an end, but she isn’t ready to hang up her robe just yet.  Judy Sheindlin, the star of the reality court show, has announced that the show’s upcoming 25th season will be its last. While we don’t have many details about Judy’s new show, including whether it will have the same format as Judge Judy, we do know that it will be called “Judy Justice”.  Sheindlin has had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS and it’s been successful. The TV host, who set the Guinness World Record in 2015 for longest career as a TV judge, was named by Forbes in 2018 to be the year’s highest paid TV host, and is estimated to be paid about $47 million per year.

★ Kobe Bryant’s widow is demanding an investigation into the deputies who took and shared photos of the helicopter crash site which took the lives of the basketball star, his daughter and 7 others. Vanessa Bryant’s lawyer released a statement reading, “Our client…is absolutely devastated by allegations that deputies from the Lost Hills Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department publicly disseminated photos from the helicopter crash site…This is an unspeakable violation of human decency, respect, and of the privacy rights of the victims and their families.” It goes on to say that on the day of the crash, she asked “that the area be designated a no-fly zone and protected from photographers” in order to “protect the dignity of all the victims and their families.”

★ Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t think he will ever return to “Harry Potter”. He played the boy wizard for 10 years, but now says he isn’t sure he would ever want to return to the role because he likes how his life is now and doesn’t want to get into a situation where he’s ”signed up for one series for years in advance”. Radcliffe’s acting choices following his exit from the Potter franchise have been described as ”weird” by some, but he insists that was not how it was planned, it’s just that he looks for ”different” things.

★ Oprah Winfrey is currently on her “2020 Vision” speaking tour, and she stopped by the Forum arena in Los Angeles Saturday to discuss wellness and living a balanced life. Unfortunately, she quite literally lost her own balance while onstage. Oprah slipped and took a pretty hard fall in front of hundreds of attendees. Fans immediately took to social media, with many in attendance saying she took the fall like a champ and actually walked around barefoot onstage for a bit before switching to more sensible footwear.

• Drake — delivered a late-night surprise in the form of not one, but two new songs on Saturday. ‘When to Say When’ touches on fatherhood, his chart success and more. And ‘Chicago Freestyle’ might be called the kind of love story that only a rap star can tell.
• Avril Lavigne — has canceled a run of 12 shows in Asia amid concerns about the coronavirus. The tour was supposed to start April 23 in Shenzhen, China, with dates scheduled in Shanghai, the Philippines, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This comes after she was forced to cancel her Zurich, Switzerland, concert due to the Swiss government’s ban on large-scale events to combat the outbreak.
• The Cars — Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, who was married to late singer Ric Ocasek for more than 30 years before he died in Sept., told “CBS Sunday Morning” she feels betrayed by being cut out of his will. Even though they began divorce proceedings in 2017, they still lived in the same home when he died. Quote: “It made the grieving process really, really tricky, I would love to be able to be sad and miss him, and not also feel this incredible hurt and betrayal.”
• Ozzy Osbourne – says he is relieved he and Elton John never partied together during their drink and drug-fuelled heydays because he’s convinced it would have led to an early grave. Despite their long friendship, their paths never crossed while partying. The two recently teamed up to record the title track of Ozzy’s new album, “Ordinary Man”.
• Billy Idol – is the face of a new environmental awareness program in New York City using the slogan: “Billy never idles.” He says he’s happy to help draw attention to the otherwise dull topic of pollution pumped into the city air by idling vehicles.
• Miranda Lambert – Her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, is officially no longer a New York City police officer. He has retired from the NYPD and is now reportedly handling Lambert’s security. After the pair secretly married last year, McLoughlin took a leave of absence.
• Dixie Chicks – After teasing new music for what seems like forever, they have announced that their next single, ‘Gaslighter’ will be out tomorrow. The band made the announcement by posting an Instagram video of a clip of the song with the definition of “gaslighter” spelled out in pink and yellow letters. (“A psychological manipulator who seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or in members of a group, making them question their own memory, perception or sanity.”)

STAYING IN FOR THE OUTBREAK:
As scary as the coronavirus outbreak is, and now we’re hearing about fears of it causing a global economic slowdown, experts are saying that companies like Netflix, which provide in-home services, might be in good shape to withstand the crisis, or even benefit from it. The streaming company has already seen its stock price “outperform” in the past week, amid the worst sell-off on Wall Street in 9 years. Other tech companies which could see upside from coronavirus include Facebook, Amazon, Peloton and Slack. Those companies have been identified by analysts as products and services which could benefit in a world of quarantined individuals.
(If your family is anything like mine, and you’re going to be stuck at home, you’re also going to need a ton of earplugs!)
(Not DoorDash?)
(You’d almost think one of those antivirus companies would do well at a time like this…)

WASTE MANAGEMENT:
Some parents are putting their babies’ dirty diapers in the mailbox — for the sake of the environment. The subscription-based baby-care company “Dyper”, which offers a biodegradable bamboo diaper, has partnered with waste-management company “TerraCycle” to launch “ReDyper”, a mail-in diaper-composting service. That’s right – they provide you with a box, and when you’ve filled it (pardon the pun) with baby’s soiled diapers, you print off a mailing label and ship it off to TerraCycle. From there, it goes to one of a number of composting facilities across the U.S. They will look after supplying your baby with biodegradable diapers and shipping out the used ones for about $100 per month. And yes, their shipping containers comply with hazmat standards. Dyper’s president says that more than 20 billion diapers go to landfills each year.
(For $100 a month, they’d better handle CHANGING the diapers too!)
(So instead of ordering crap to be delivered to you, now you can send crap away!)
(And when your kid is older and complains that you never do anything for him…)

DID YOU KNOW?
New psychology research from the University of British Columbia suggests that the scent of a romantic partner can improve sleep. Researchers found that study participants who were exposed to their partner’s scent (a freshly-worn t-shirt) overnight experienced better sleep quality, even though their partner was not physically present.
