BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Kanye West – bizarrely returned to social media on Friday, declaring on Instagram that watching Jonah Hill in “21 Jump Street” has made him “like Jewish people again,” Ye wrote alongside a poster for the 2012 comedy: “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people.” He added: “Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”

★ Jonathan Majors, who stars in “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” was arrested on Saturday in New York City, and accused of domestic dispute. According to police, the victim, who was not identified, “sustained minor injuries to her head and neck” and is in stable condition in hospital. A police statement says a 911 call was made, and officers responded at an apartment. They determined that “a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30 year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident.” Majors has since denied any wrongdoing.

★ Hailey Bieber has broken her silence amid reports of her alleged feud with Selena Gomez, who previously dated the model’s husband, Justin Bieber. Hailey posted a lengthy message to Instagram Stories on Friday, thanking Gomez for “speaking out,” noting that the 2 have “been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I.” That came just hours after Gomez took to her own IG Story to urge fans to stop bullying Hailey, who had apparently reached out to Gomez to let her know that she’d been receiving death threats and “such hateful negativity.”

★ About a week after it was first reported that Amanda Bynes was hospitalized, her psychiatric hold has been extended. TMZ reports that Bynes is currently hospitalized in Los Angeles and her stay in the medical facility was extended by one week. She is reportedly not talking to anyone close to her, and as a result, those in her circle, including her parents, have not been able to communicate regarding any next steps. It’s unclear how much Bynes knows about the days leading up to her hospitalization, which occurred after she called 911, after being seen walking in downtown LA, naked and alone.

★ There’s magic in the air for Daniel Radcliffe. The “Harry Potter” star and girlfriend Erin Darke are expecting their first child together, his rep has confirmed. The news comes as the pair, who have been dating for over a decade, were recently photographed in New York, where Darke’s baby bump could be seen underneath her black hoodie.

★ Jeremy Renner just marked a major milestone in his recovery process. He posted on his Instagram Story that his snow plow has returned to his home in Nevada nearly 3 months after it ran him over. Renner posted a smiling emoji and wrote: “She’s finally making her way home,” alongside a picture of his PistenBully snow removal machine arriving at his house on a flatbed truck. He also wrote: “The cat get[s] a police escort… Feels like The Green Mile!” This massive machine lost traction and slid over Renner on New Year’s Day, breaking 30 of his bones and nearly taking his life.

SHOOTING THE BULL
BIG BROTHER’S RESTAURANT:
The restaurant chain Panera Bread is testing a new palm-scanning technology from Amazon that will automatically identify customers, suggest menu items, accelerate payments and even allow workers greet people by name. Panera says the project will begin its rollout of “Amazon One” in the coming months. Panera is the first national restaurant to use the technology, which IDs customers using their hands, allowing them to pay and access their loyalty account with their palm. The company says guests who link their MyPanera account to Amazon One “will enjoy the convenience of fast payments, as well as tailored meal recommendations from Panera associates based on their preferences and previous orders.” When customers are done ordering, guests can scan their palm again to pay.
(The good news? They can no longer charge you “an arm and a leg”…or you won’t be able to pay!)
(Yeah…the workers will be able to greet you by name – at least for as long as they still have workers!)

LITTLE WHITE LIES:
You know how it goes – you don’t want to tell someone something they don’t want to hear, so you S-T-R-E-T-C-H the truth, just a little. And is that OK? To more than half of us, yes, it is. In a survey, 55% of respondents said it is permissible to lie to spare someone’s feelings, while 45% said they’re OK with telling lies to protect a relationship. However, the poll of Canadians also found that 3 in 4 of people (74%) think every person should always be truthful, regardless of the consequences. Younger adults (ages 18-34) were found be most likely to have wished someone told them a “little white lie” at some point in their lives (63%). And when it comes to gender, fewer women (40%) don’t have a problem with fibbing in certain circumstances, than men (49%).
(Or…DO they?)
(Of course, in the case of [***co-host***], you’re more likely going to have to tell him a “big white lie”!!)

NEW GOOD NEWS:
➢ Scientists have found a more efficient way to suck up CO2 from air — by storing it in baking soda and water. They say that methods of sucking up atmospheric air and filtering out the CO2 can be improved by adding copper to the filter material, potentially opening up the technology to dozens more uses that could produce a meaningful difference in the fight against climate change. The addition of copper also converts the captured CO2 to a harmless baking soda that could be stored in the oceans, or turned into a saleable product. Some scientists say the only way to limit global warming is if we are able to extract some of the CO2 we’ve added to the atmosphere, through carbon capture methods. (Baking soda? I was sure they were going to say they want to store it in my fridge!)
➢ A couple has tied the knot, 60 years after their parents blocked their plans to get married as teenagers. 79-year-old Len Allbrighton and Jeanette Steer, who is 78, proved that love has no expiration date after reuniting when Len tracked down Jeanette in 2015, curious to see if she remembered him. Little did he know she had saved the engagement ring she received as a smitten 18-year-old. She was, however married to someone else. When she found herself widowed 2 years later, she looked Len up, and romance once again bloomed. When the British couple finally got married last month, no one stopped them.

DID YOU KNOW?
A “smart” bandage is being developed, that can monitor healing and even provide antibiotics to the injury site, as well as stimulate the growth of tissue, using electrical signals. California Institute of Technology scientists have manufactured the high-tech polymer bandages, which would, in theory, heal wounds more quickly and affordably, especially for those with certain chronic illnesses that are known to slow down the healing process, such as diabetes. (But can I get one with Bart Simpson on it?)
