New mom Gwyneth Paltrow has been hired as one of the new faces of cosmetics giant Estée Lauder (maybe now she won’t have to do horrific movies like “View from the Top”) . . . WHAT WOULD JESUS SMOKE?
An article in “High Times” magazine argues that Jesus Christ may have used a cannabis-based anointing oil in order to help cure people of such ailments as skin diseases, eye problems, menstrual problems and even epilepsy. Author Chris Bennet says his conclusions are based on scriptural texts and claims the medical use of cannabis during the time of Christ is supported by archaeological records. (Little know fact – Doritos were invented in 22 AD.)

IT’S YOUR TURN:
Spanish inventor Pep Torres has developed a washing machine that prevents the same person from doing the laundry twice in-a-row. The ‘Your Turn’ washing machine is hooked up to a scanner which reads fingerprints. It will only start working if a different user from the previous load is scanned in. Torres came up with the innovative appliance in response to a Spanish company’s request for an unusual “Father’s Day” gift. Torres says it’s perfect gift for the macho man from the Ice Age who doesn’t do anything around the house except drink beer. (There’s something wrong with that?)
– “Curious Times”

GENESIS PARK:
Nestled deep in the Ozark mountains in the heart of America’s Bible Belt, the Museum of Earth History is the first dinosaur museum to take a creationist perspective. In one display, for instance, a razor-toothed T-Rex looms over a much smaller plant-eating dinosaur while off to the side, peering through the bushes, are – Adam & Eve. A recorded voice claims ‘Man and Dinosaur’ lived together without fear, for there was no death yet. The controversial museum forms part of a Bible-based theme park in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. (Don’t fail to miss Noah’s Great Log Flume Adventure or the Loves ‘n Fishes Snack Shack!)

PRINCESS’S PARTS:
Francoise Gaellar [guy-AHR], the secretary at a primary school in the tiny town of Espira de l’Agly in southern France, is making a startling claim: she says her life was saved by a kidney transplant on September 2, 1997 and the donor was – Princess Diana. Diana had been killed 2 days earlier in the infamous car crash in Paris and much of what happened in the first few hours afterward has remained a mystery. So far, there’s little hard evidence one way or the other as to
whether Gaellar is telling the truth. Under French law, she is not allowed to know the identity of her donor, but she claims a paramedic told her she was going to receive ‘royal blood’. (Gee, wonder who got the lungs?)

BS AMAZING FACT:
It might seem long, but today is shorter than you think. The average day is actually 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.09 seconds. We have a leap year every 4 years to make up for this shortfall.

AND WE QUOTE:
“I mean, really, everyone has a price and $10 million is mine. So I’ve put it out there.”  – “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher, telling Jay Leno what she’d charge to pose for “Playboy” magazine.

BS BUCK-A-SECOND:
Let listeners find out how tough talking coherently first thing in the morning can be by playing “Dollar-a-Second”. Give a phone contestant a topic, then clock ’em to see how long they can speak fluently on the subject (no ‘ums’ or pauses allowed). Pay a buck-a-second for as long as they last. You can avoid bankruptcy by establishing a maximum time, although most won’t even make it to 10 seconds.

BS BRAIN STRAIN:
According to the new book “8 Weeks to Vibrant Health” by Dr Hyla Cass, what is now the 3rd-leading cause of death?
a. AIDS.
b. Traffic accidents.
c. Doctors. [CORRECT. She says that’s due to lack of knowledge, errors, and overinfluence from pharmaceutical companies.]

WHAT’S IN A NAME:
• What part of a wine bottle is known as the ‘punt’? [The indentation on the bottom of the bottle is called the ‘punt’ or ‘kick’.]
• Where on your living room lamp would you find the ‘harp’? [It’s the metal hoop that runs around the top of a lamp shade.]
• What does a sales clerk measure with a ‘Brannock Device’. [That’s the name of the adjustable metal instrument used to measure feet in a shoe store.]

BS BLATANT JOKES:
• Gimme steak! I didn’t fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian.
• So I told my kid, “My decision is maybe … and that’s final!”

BS WATER COOLER QUESTION:
Today’s Question: Women with red hair can do THIS better than the rest of us.
Answer to Give Out Tomorrow: They can tolerate more pain than other people, including red-headed men. University of Montréal research has found that the same gene that gives them red hair plays a role in pain suppression.

BS DEEP THOUGHT:
Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.
