Another Sheetload of Bull!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ The official “Game of Thrones” Twitter account posted a cryptic tweet on Monday afternoon and the Internet nearly lost its mind. Speculation spiraled out of control after the account posted three simple words: “Winter is coming.” Of all the many possible announcements on the way, (including the upcoming HBO spinoff series and the fact that the final two books are still on their way), there is the very real possibility that the Game of Thrones Twitter account was simply remarking on the big winter storms hitting the U.S. this week.

★ Ezra Miller, Warwick Davis and Claudia Kim are among the stars from J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World who have recorded songs for a festive charity album. A host of famous faces from the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” movies, as well as the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” stage production, have picked a holiday classic to record for the “A Magical Time of Year” album, which will raise money for the author’s children’s charity, the Lumos Foundation.
-ContactMusic
★ Channing Tatum made his triumphant return to social media after months of focusing on “the real world.” His first post back hinted at the fact that he has been going through some life changes following his split from ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, and finding love with pop star Jesse J. And note: It is interesting timing that he got back on the Gram just days after his divorce became official.

★ Pink Taco founder and Lindsay Lohan ex Harry Morton died at age 38 after a heart attack brought on by several blockages in his arteries, according to his family. A spokesperson says the L.A. County Coroner found the restaurateur was suffering from coronary artery disease and also had a “mildly enlarged heart.” In 2006, Morton dated Lindsay Lohan, and he was also romantically linked throughout the years to other stars including Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Lohan paid tribute to Morton on Instagram, captioning a picture: “Best friends. Best life”.

★ So much for making the yuletide gay. Hallmark Channel is rolling out a total of 40 original holiday-themed movies across Hallmark and its sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries — not one of which features an LGBTQ character taking center stage. And Lifetime, the network’s closest competitor in the made-for-TV holiday movie space, has a similarly poor track record: Out of 30 new original Christmas movies, none feature primary storylines about LGBTQ couples. Executives at Hallmark parent company Crown Media and Lifetime say they’re aware of the omission — and hope to remedy it in the future.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Justin Timberlake — reported to the set of “Palmer” on Monday in Louisiana, two days after he and co-star Alisha Wainwright were spotted engaging in some PDA in photos and a video. According to a source: “He had too much to drink and got carried away.”  He recently celebrated his seventh anniversary with wife Jessica Biel.
• The Weeknd — appears to have used his split from Selena Gomez as inspiration for a new song. He has registered the song title ‘Like Selena’ for copyright. The two dated between Jan.-Oct. 2017. The Weeknd began teasing his musical comeback on his Instagram page on Monday.
• Heart – Nancy Wilson says that fans shouldn’t be surprised if they hear new music from the group next year. Quote: “I’ve got a lot of song ideas in my head and in my notes on my phone, and [I’ve been] singing into my phone…So I think that new Heart material would be really great.”
• Sugar Ray — singer Mark McGrath insists he was in on the “pretty obvious joke” after being hired to apparently break up with someone for a woman named Cheyenne. He’s one of the celebs signed up to Cameo, where users can pay $100 for stars to record video messages for them. On Monday, a video started doing the rounds of McGrath apparently delivering the bad news to a ‘Bradyn’.
• Lionel Richie and Lenny Kravitz — are returning to headline Montreux Jazz Festival in 2020. The two last performed at the legendary music extravaganza in 2015. Richie is scheduled for a July 8 appearance, and Kravitz on July 13. The rest of the lineup has not yet been announced.
• The Who — Pete Townshend has attempted to clarify his comments about late bandmates Keith Moon and John Entwistle after he said in an interview: “Thank God they’re gone,” and added that they were “difficult to play with.” He wrote on Facebook: “No one can ever know how much I miss Keith and John, as people, as friends and as musicians…I was being ironic in my own English way by suggesting it is something I am glad about.” He also apologized to their families.
• Garth Brooks – will play the massive Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC on May 2. Brooks’ only stadium date in North or South Carolina during his 2020 run will feature 360-degree views of the stage from the over 75,000 seats at the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.
• Sam Hunt — has pulled out of his performance at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards following his recent arrest for driving under the influence. He was scheduled to be one of the featured headliners for the December 5th event in Nashville.
• Dustin Lynch – How did he meet his girlfriend Kelli Seymour, considering they are from completely different parts of the country? According to him, “I slid into her DMs on Instagram.” But he says he doesn’t even remember what their first messages to each other were.

GROOVY GRAVY:
A California marijuana company wants to take your Thanksgiving meal to a “higher level” by offering up the chance to douse your dinner with cannabis-infused gravy. Kiva Confections is calling their spin on ‘edibles’ “a cheeky take on a normally mundane holiday staple.” If it’s the awkward family Thanksgiving dinner conversation that you dread, they say just 15 minutes after tipping the gravy boat, “you’ll start feeling the effects, so you can sit back, relax, and let the holiday cheer wash over you.”  The gravy, which sells for $5 a pop, comes in powder form and contains turkey stock, salt, onion, garlic and 10 milligrams of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Right now, it’s only sold in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Oh, and coming soon: Cannabis-infused hot cocoa.
(Did they just call gravy “mundane”? I’m afraid I can’t listen to another word they say!)
(That puts a new spin on Thanksgiving…literally!)
(And if you still get the munchies after eating Thanksgiving dinner, you’ve mixed it WAAAY too strong!)
-NYPost, Kiva

DOG YEARS:
We’ve always heard that in order to convert your dog’s age to “dog-years” the simple equation is to multiply your dog’s age in “human years” by seven. Well now, scientists say they have come up with a more accurate way to determine how old your dog is. Researchers at the University of California, San Diego, examined dog DNA to see how quickly dogs age, and found that this is the correct formula for calculating dog years: Take the natural logarithm of a dog’s age, multiply it by 16, and then add 31. In plain English, that means you grab a scientific calculator, enter your dog’s age, then press ‘in’. Multiply the result by 16, then add 31. Using that formula, a two-year old dog is 42, a five-year-old dog is almost 57, and a ten-year-old is 67.8. While this method might not be completely accurate for every breed, it is believed to be a much more accurate way of determining your dog’s ‘human’ age than the old, unscientific “7-years” rule.
(Yeah, I’m gonna need an app for that…)
(So, at what age will my dog no longer learn new tricks?)
(I’d just like to know at what age he’ll stop humping my throw-pillows!)

DID YOU KNOW?
Your birth order could affect your career choices – according to a CareerBuilder study. Firstborns get their parents’ full attention for a while – and that often turns them into high-achievers, so, they’re drawn to executive roles. Middle children tend to be good at negotiation and mediation, which means they might lean toward public service and caretaking roles. Baby of the family? Since they were the last to arrive, their parents were probably more relaxed, so they tend to be a bit of a free-spirit and entertainer, making them perfect for more creative roles, like actor, designer, or architect. And only-children spend a lot of time with their parents, or playing by themselves – so, they tend to enjoy solo positions, like scientists or engineers.

TODAY’S BS REASONS TO PARTY . . .
• “American Thanksgiving Day”, an annual feasting tradition made a statutory holiday on the 4th Thursday of November in 1879.  The event that Americans commonly call the ‘First Thanksgiving’ was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in October 1621.  (No ‘Black Friday’ that year!)

• “Letter Writing Day”, when we’re encouraged to take a few minutes to send someone a handwritten letter. Letter-writing has almost become a lost art. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone, either printed or in cursive? (Well, I left a note on someone’s windshield yesterday…and it was FULL of ‘cursive’!)

• “French Toast Day”.  Either bread dipped in egg and fried … or perhaps a big ol’ glass of Champagne?

• “Make Your Own Head Day”, a crafty day often celebrated by artists and grade-school children.  The idea is to create your own head through one of many different artistic options.  The rule is that the head you make must be your own. (Looks like I’m getting a head of myself!)

• “Red Planet Day”, commemorates the launch of the Spacecraft Mariner 4 on November 28,1964. The 228-day mission of Mariner 4 brought the spacecraft within 6,118 miles of Mars on July 14, 1965.
