Tomorrow’s Show Prep Today!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Real-life couple Melissa Benoist & Blake Jenner are teaming up as lovers on the small-screen. Jenner, who met the actress on the set of “Glee” and married her earlier this year, will play her character’s boyfriend in upcoming episodes of her new CBS-TV show “Supergirl”. Benoist plays the titular character in the series and her love interest, known as ‘Adam Foster’, will appear in several episodes of the comic book superhero series early next year.

★ Porn star Danica Dillon is suing former “19 Kids and Counting” reality TV star Josh Duggar for allegedly assaulting her multiple times while they were together. Dillon claims she met with Duggar at a club where he paid her $1,500 for sex. According to court documents, Dillon claims she was “manhandled” during the session and physically assaulted. Duggar, the oldest sibling on the former TLC show, checked into rehab in August after admitting to molesting his sisters and cheating on his wife using infidelity website Ashley Madison.

★ And Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she got hammered before filming a sex scene with Chris Pratt. It’s part of the upcoming film “Passengers”, due in theaters in December 2016. She says the nude scene is the “most vulnerable” she’s ever felt on-camera but getting “really, really drunk” failed to solve the problem as 36-year-old Pratt is married to fellow actress Anna Faris. She says the tension between providing realism for the bigscreen and not violating the sanctity of a marriage made her feel enormous pressure.

WEEKLY RATION:
Married couples who have sex once a week are the happiest, according to a new study of 25,000 men and women. Sure, more often may even be better but it doesn’t seem to up the happiness quotient. And the once-a-week stat is true for couples at any point in their relationship, whether the wedding thank-yous have yet to be written or they are looking at retirement properties. Interestingly, this debunks the myth that men need sex more often, since the responses were the virtually the same for women. In a happy coincidence, the new survey finds that most couples tend to have sex weekly, many of them scheduling it. (“Mom, what’s this Saturday night thingy on the kitchen calendar?”)

HOW TO TELL IF IT’S A COLD, FLU, OR ALLERGIES:
A few tips from health experts ….
✓ Colds and the flu are viral infections that usually bring fever, aches, and fatigue.
✓ Allergies do not come with a fever.
✓ If you’re sneezing and blowing your nose endlessly, it could be a cold or allergies, but a cold will leave after a week-to-10 days. Allergies linger.
✓ Allergies are not accompanied by pains, upset stomach, or exhaustion like the flu.
✓ Symptoms for allergies include ‘allergy shiners’, where blood vessels under eyes dilate, creating dark circles; and the ‘allergy salute’, whereby people constantly rub their nose.
✓ Unless it is the flu, antibiotics do not work very well on viruses.
✓ For colds, well, grandma was right. Chicken soup really is a good remedy, though doctors are not sure why. (It’s the ‘extra love’ she puts in it.)
