BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Congratulations are in order for Hoda Kotb (***PRON: HOE-dah COT-bee***) and Joel Schiffman. The “Today” co-anchor broke the news Monday on her show to the delight of her coworkers. The couple have been together for six years and are the parents of adopted daughters 2-year-old Haley Joy, and infant Hope Catherine, who joined their family in April. Kotb said Schiffman popped the question over the weekend during dinner on the beach while the pair were vacationing.

★ The late Robin Williams’ house on San Francisco Bay has just hit the market. Located in ritzy Tiburon area, the 6,517-square-foot home sits on some of the country’s priciest real estate, and that would explain the $7.25 million price tag.  With water views from almost every room, the sprawling 6-bedroom, 6.5 bath home built in 1987 definitely looks celebrity worthy. Williams, who passed away on August 11, 2014, originally hailed from Chicago. He was a long-time San Francisco resident, living for many years in the exclusive Sea Cliff neighborhood.

★ Tyler Perry is no stranger to charitable giving, and now, he’s helping a couple, who had been stuck inside a Mexican hospital, get home. The Georgia couple had been trapped in the hospital for over a week after Stephen Johnson went into diabetic shock on a cruise ship. However, when it came time to check out of the hospital, the couple wasn’t allowed to leave without paying their entire $14,000 hospital bill. Perry is footing the couple’s bill and flying them home.

★ Seth Rogen and David Boreanaz will put their game show skills to the test for a star-studded Christmas edition of “The Price is Right” next month. They’ll join host Drew Carey for “The Price Is Right at Night: A Holiday Extravaganza” on Dec. 22 and 23. Boreanaz will be playing to benefit the Headstrong Project, which provides mental health treatment for post-9/11 veterans and their families, while Rogen will be hoping to raise cash for Hilarity for Charity, the Alzheimer’s research and support non-profit he founded with his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen.

• Ariana Grande — On December 6, her five studio albums will be available in color vinyl via her online store, along with her “Christmas & Chill” EP, which will feature an exclusive etching on side B. In addition, her first three albums are set for release on black vinyl and will be available at retail stores worldwide.
• Alessia Cara – was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame on Sat. night. She says it ranks among the most tremendous honours she’s received in her career. Also among those also inducted were hockey player Mark Messier, actor Will Arnett and rock band Triumph.
• Coldplay — Chris Martin paid his children to appear on their new album. “Everyday Life” features his kids – 15-year-old Apple, and Moses, who is 13. Martin says not only were they paid “proper fees”, they had the option to say “No”.
• Beck – has told a newspaper that despite what is regularly reported, he is not a member of the Church of Scientology. He told the Sydney Morning Herald: “I don’t have any connection or affiliation with it. My father has been a Scientologist for a long time, but I’ve pretty much just focused on my music and my work for most of my life, and tended to do my own thing . . .”
• Marilyn Manson — has released his newest single, a cover of The Doors classic ‘The End’. The collaboration with country rocker Shooter Jennings will be used in the Stephen King TV series “The Stand”, which Manson will also appear in.
• Paul McCartney — Three letters written by his late wife Linda about him will be sold at auction. Discovered by Linda’s former housemate, the letters were written before she married the Beatle in 1969. They reveal her excitement about dating the star and how she was commissioned to photograph “groovy” bands of the day.
• U2 – is streaming the new single ‘Ahimsa’. The group will give their first-ever performance in India next month, and in commemoration of the event, they teamed up with composer A.R. Rahman to write the song. The title is taken from the Sanskrit word for non-violence.
• Jason Isbell — Morgan Wallen has transformed his song, ‘Cover Me Up’, into an eight-minute short film about a military vet with PTSD. Isbell wrote the song for his girlfriend—now wife—Amanda Shires after struggling with sobriety. The song was recognized at the 2014 Americana Music Awards as Song of the Year.
• Chris Young — While performing ‘Who I Am With You’ in Lexington, KY on Sat. night, he noticed a woman in the crowd holding up a sign reading: “Chemo Yesterday…Chris Young Today.” Young posted a touching video of himself joining her in the crowd and singing with an arm around the fan, who appears overcome but manages to sing along with him.

MEET MARKET:
Rob Lawless is on a mission. A mission to meet 10,000 strangers. And not just meet them. He wants to spend an hour with each and hear about their lives. The 28-year-old Philadelphia native has already met with 3,000 people, and is currently doing the rounds in New York. He started his project in 2015, when he was working as a finance consultant and missed the socializing he did while in college. How does he finance his quest? By convincing businesses to pay him in exchange for plugs on Instagram. He is averaging about 800 people a year, and after each meeting, Lawless posts a photo of himself and the stranger he’s just met, along with a summary of their story. He expects the project to last another decade. He hopes to take it international, and eventually hit every state in the U.S.
(This guy is meeting 10,00 random strangers and I don’t know the people in the house 2 doors down!)
(It’s like speed-dating without the ‘speed’ part. Or the ‘dating’ part. Yup. Definitely nothing like speed dating…)

FOOT DOCTOR:
Nike has created a new shoe for “everyday heroes” like doctors, nurses and home health aides. Nike Air Zoom Pulse is an athletic shoe designed for those in the medical profession. The company says in designing the shoe, they went sent a team to a Portland, OR hospital, and observed the challenges of those on the job– including long hours on their feet and liquid spills — and the comfort needed for long shifts. The shoe is designed like a clog, which is popular among medical workers, but is more athletic in appearance and performance. It has a rubber outsole that provides traction even when liquid or water is present, and is said to be easy to put on with one hand.
(Hey, if it keeps them from having to wear Crocs, I’m all for ’em!)

I TOAD YOU SO:
The world’s first test-tube toad has been born at the Fort Worth Zoo. A highly endangered Puerto Rican Crested toad was hatched through in-vitro fertilization. The one-of-a-kind amphibian is named Olaf, after the snowman in the “Frozen” films — which is reference to the frozen sperm that was used to create him. Scientists used this method to help save the species from extinction. Olaf was the first of 300 hatchlings to be born at the Texas zoo. A previous attempt at toad IVF had failed.
(It’s a miracle – warts and all!)

THE WORST AMERICAN THANKSGIVING FAILS:
According to a survey of 2,000 Americans, if you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner, you can expect six things to go wildly wrong. Here are some of the worst…
☞ The food served was so bad that everybody stopped eating after just one bite.
☞ Completely forgot to invite anyone, so nobody wound up coming.
☞ Thought I’d forgotten to order most of the ingredients I needed for Thanksgiving cooking. Turns out my husband just forgot to get any of them out of his trunk 7 hours ago.
☞ Earlier in the year I used the turkey baster to suck power steering fluid out of the car. I forgot to replace the baster. It became a crisis.
☞ Our feast came to a screeching halt because my aunt’s dog was bleeding, so she rushed him to the emergency vet — and it turned out to be cranberry juice.
☞ Forgot to thaw the turkey ahead of time.
☞ The turkey was stolen from the dinner table.
☞ The turkey caught on fire.
☞ The dog ate the turkey.

According to the latest annual survey to reveal the most popular car colors in North America, white dominates for the 9th straight year. 38% of car buyers opted for white cars, followed by 19% choosing black, and 13% grey cars. Those top three colors, together with fourth-ranked silver, represent 80% of the market. The survey also found that red and blue are becoming more and more popular in North America.
