BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Kristen Bell’s daughters already know what they’ll see in “Frozen 2” when it hits theaters on Friday. Bell admitted in an interview that she felt like being a cool mom for a moment, so she decided to spill. How did her daughters react? She says: “They were excited and then it occurred to me that I was in breach of my contract.” Bell says she made it very clear to her kids that they not tell anyone at school anything about the movie, and to ensure the secrets would stay safe, she jokingly told her girls that all of their teeth would fall out if they “spilled the beans.”

★ “Dancing With the Stars” alum Derek Hough woke up on Saturday morning in excruciating pain and ended up getting emergency surgery on his appendix. He was in good spirits after the medical procedure and was doing a little peacocking in the video that he shared. It appears that the surgery couldn’t keep Hough from trying to bust a move with a little shuffle.

★ Patricia Heaton’s husband, the executive producer of “Carole’s Second Act”, David Hunt, has been accused of sexual misconduct in an on-set scandal that led two female employees of the CBS sitcom to quit their jobs, according to a report. Hunt allegedly inappropriately touched a female writer, who ended up leaving the series along with a producer after they claim the network mishandled their complaints.

★ In 2008, Donny and Marie Osmond signed a six-week contract for a residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas. The show did so well that it got extended… and then extended… and then extended. Eleven years later, their massively successful engagement has finally ended. Although the finality of the Donny & Marie show hung over the theater like a thick blanket on Saturday night, the Osmonds proved to be professionals, as they fought through the emotions to perform their hits.

★ Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel will be honored with a special double-star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. According to a release, “The Hollywood Walk of Fame makes an extra special effort to pair artists who work together or are related with their stars next to each other.” Bell and Menzel star together in the upcoming Disney film “Frozen 2”, which opens on Friday.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Ariana Grande — gave fans an update on her health amid her ‘Sweetener’ world tour. She posted that she is in “so much pain” and “it’s difficult to breathe during the show.” She recently revealed that she was battling panic attacks, depression and anxiety, and plans to seek treatment this week.
• Lauryn Hill — dropped her first new solo song in five years on Friday. ‘Guarding the Gates’ is from the forthcoming film “Queen & Slim.” New songs from Hill have been few and far between in the 20 years since her blockbuster debut solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”
• Janet Jackson – fans walked out of her show in Brisbane, Australia on Friday night, many upset about her alleged lip syncing. It’s the third time in recent memory that she has been accused of her voice not matching up with her “random” stage movements.
• Sheryl Crow — says her Johnny Cash collaboration made her realize “Threads” would be her last album. She recorded ‘Redemption Day’ with Cash shortly before his death in 2003, and hearing his voice from the demo while recording the new album was a career defining moment. Quote: “I don’t want to make another sound. I want this to be the last, that leaves the taste in your mouth.”
• KISS – although they canceled their Australian tour, they did play one very special show, albeit as a 3-piece. They played their highly publicized concert for great white sharks, minus Paul Stanley who is out with the flu. As KISS played above water, fans submerged in a submarine had a chance to watch how the great white sharks reacted to the show. (Does this mean they’ve officially jumped the shark?)
• The Killers — will release the new album “Imploding the Mirage”, in the spring of 2020. They revealed the news on Twitter along with the announcement of a 2020 U.K. and Ireland tour in support of the release, noting “future musical teasing imminent.”
• (***CAUTION: “F’—in’”***) Jennifer Nettles — took the women-centric theme of the 2019 CMA Awards show to another level by donning a pink satin cape draped over her white pantsuit, writing “Play our F—in’ Records, Please & Thank You” on the front, with a woman’s face, and the words “equal play” on the back.
• Luke Bryan – is the #1 earning country music act in the past year, according to Forbes. Bryan took in $42.5 million over that time frame. #2 is the Zac Brown Band at $38.5 million, followed by Keith Urban ($35 million), Blake Shelton ($32 million) and Kenny Chesney with $31 million.

The classic flip phone is coming back. Motorola has brought back the “Razr”, the legendary flip phone from 2004 that became the bestselling phone of all time, before the iPhone. You remember the Razr, right? It was impossibly thin, it had that blue-backlit metal keypad, and it seemed like everyone owned one. Plus, you could fold it in half! The new version is a modern smartphone. It still folds in half, and unlike many smartphones of today, it fits nicely in a small pocket. And remember the outside display on the Razr? The new one also displays time on the OUTSIDE, and lets you quickly respond to texts without opening it up. How much for this nostalgia machine that will definitely make your friends jealous? Admit it. You launch into your own rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ whenever it comes on the radio. And as far as you’re concerned, your version is almost completely interchangeable with the original. Well, YouTube has launched a device that compares your singing to the powerful vocals of Queen’s iconic frontman, Freddie Mercury. The “FreddieMeter”, created in partnership with The Mercury Phoenix Trust (a charity founded by Queen’s surviving members dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS), allows you to test your vocal skills on four Queen songs — ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, ‘We Are the Champions’, ‘Somebody to Love’, and of course ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. To test your voice, you simply sing into your device’s microphone, and the site will produce an analysis of your performance, showing you how well your vocals match up with Mercury’s. EW conducted a test using a sample of Rami Malek’s vocals from the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Malek’s vocals were mixed together with master tapes of Freddie Mercury and the vocals of another singer for the movie). He scored just 48% on the FreddieMeter.
