The word’s out – it was George Michael who had the winning $2.1 million-bid for the piano John Lennon used to compose “Imagine” . . . Ellen DeGeneres is said to be seeing a ‘C-list’ actress . . . MOVIES GETTIN’ MADE:
Michael Clarke Duncan, the giant actor nominated for an Oscar for his role in “The Green Mile”, will play a silverback gorilla in the remake of the sci-fi classic “Planet of the Apes” (he’s studying for the role by watching “WWF Smackdown”) . . . A sequel to “Men in Black”, already dubbed “MIB2″, will reunite original stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Fiorentino (and this time they’re promising an actual storyline!) . . . Irish actor Liam Neeson has signed on to star as Harrison Ford’s 2nd-in-command in the upcoming Russian submarine drama “K-19″ (man, there’s gonna be some odd-sounding accents in this one!)
WOMEN VS MEN:
According to a survey of 400 psychiatrists, women generally find a man’s personality to be his most sexually appealing trait, followed by his interest in her, his facial appearance, body proportions and signs of success. Men, on the other hand, think a woman’s body proportions are her most attractive feature, followed by her facial appearance, personality and her interest in him. (Women are right, men ARE shallow.)
SEX SURVEY:
A new worldwide poll by British condom maker SSL International finds that, on average, people globally are having sex 96 times a year. (Which begs the question — who’s getting the extra 95 I’m due?)
DOES IT IGNORE YOU LIKE A REAL CAT?
Sony has developed a companion for it’s ‘Aibo’ robot dog — a $1,500 robot cat modeled after a lion cub — that responds to a number of commands like ‘sit’ and ‘dance’ and will even take your picture with the small camera that it uses to navigate. (When the batteries go dead, you’ll find them in the litter box)

AM I HOT OR NOT?
The fun Website ‘Am I Hot Or Not?’ (http://www.amihotornot.com) allows you to upload a photo of yourself and have complete strangers rate your appearance on a scale of 1 to 10. Interesting that someone submitted a pic of Britney Spears and she only rated 6.9. So why not try a radio version? Take voice clips of celebs, politicians, listeners, other jocks — whoever — and have a panel of phone callers decide if they’re ‘Hot or Not?’ by rating them from 1-10 on the sexiness of their voices.
Q: When was the last time baseball had an all-NYC ‘Subway Series’?
A: Since the inception of the modern-day World Series in 1903, the fall classic has been played within the borders of NYC a total of 14 times (including the 2000 series). The last ‘Subway Series’ was in 1956, when the Yankees beat the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Q: How can you tell an herb from a spice?
A: Herbs are green. If it’s not green, it’s a spice. (Seems we have a lot of ‘spice’ houseplants.)
