BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ A life-sized interactive version of the “Friends” coffee shop Central Perk was constructed in Las Vegas with close to 1 million Lego bricks! The installation was commissioned by Warner Bros. Television to commemorate the ongoing festivities for the 25th anniversary of the TV show. Lego brick artist Nathan Sawaya spent 4 months building the exhibit at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino. It consists of almost 975,000 bricks and features a full-sized orange couch, cash register and even a menu, all made out of Lego. Sawaya says that the couch “was one of the toughest things to build because it’s so iconic, everyone knows it … You just want to get it right, but it’s so many bricks and at some point, it’s mind numbing.”

★ Dennis Quaid and his younger girlfriend Laura Savoie are on the road to marriage. A day after the couple was spotted enjoying their Hawaiian vacation, Us Weekly reported that the 65-year-old proposed to his 26-year-old beau. Despite three failed marriages, Quaid said in December that he would “never count anything out” when it comes to getting married again.

★ Chris Evans returned to the theatre where his career started on Saturday. The “Captain America” actor attended the opening of Concord Youth Theatre’s new venue in his hometown of Concord, Massachusetts, and opened up about how the space – which has gone from a capacity of 80 to 210 people at its new home – was a place he could go to ”feel safe and take risks”. The person who paid for the new building and renovation work has not been named, although it’s believed to be the Marvel star.

★ Brad Pitt is drawing serious criticism for appearing in a commercial for French bank Boursorama, which is being sued for refusing to accept American-born customers. In the ad, Pitt is seen walking around New York City while using various Boursorama services. But the catch is we cannot hear his audio at all. At the end, a voiceover says in French, “We do not need Brad Pitt to recommend Boursorama Bank because no one does it better than our customers.” Boursorama is one of several French banks being sued for discrimination by a group of people who have French and American citizenship as a result of being born in the States. They have no other connection to the US, and are unable to open accounts with Boursorama. The bank reportedly paid Pitt $6 million for the ad.

• Camila Cabello – met Lizzo backstage at the “We Can Survive” concert support of the American Cancer Society at the Hollywood Bowl Saturday night. Cameras caught Cabello saying “You were playing ‘Tempo’ in soundcheck, and I made an Insta-story of me twerking to it. I’m not great at it. You’ve got to teach me. Please.”
• Halsey – told the audience at Saturday night’s “We Can Survive” concert in support of the American Cancer Society that Taylor Swift’s latest album “Lover” is her “shower music”. She not only said that Swift is “definitely an artist that I would absolutely love to collaborate [with]”, she also sang Swift’s song “Lover” at the concert.
• Bruce Springsteen — returned to his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey on Saturday to offer a surprise introduction to the first public multiplex viewing of his concert/documentary film, “Western Stars.” In September, he came to town for the opening of the exhibit “Springsteen: His Hometown,” performing one song.
• Elton John – Says in his new autobiography “Me” that his husband David Furnish entered rehab for an alcohol problem after failing to cope with fame. Quote: ”I always thought David had slipped into Elton John World with remarkable ease and confidence, but it turned out that a lot of things I was completely used to living with, that I just saw as a fact of life, made him completely anxious.”
• Rick Astley – has re-recorded many of his older songs for his upcoming “The Best of Me” greatest hits package. He quit music after suffering an emotional breakdown in 1993, but now at 53, says the best part of his job is having the opportunity to travel the world.
• AC/DC — To mark 40 years since the death of singer Bon Scott, 10km of Perth’s Canning Highway, the Australian motorway Scott would travel on regularly in his youth, will be closed to play host to the world’s longest festival stage, featuring 8 bands playing AC/DC covers. Scott died Feb. 19, 1980.
• Dan + Shay — their latest single ‘10,000 Hours’, which features pop star Justin Bieber, has become the highest charting non-holiday country song on Billboard’s Streaming Songs Chart. It hit #3 on this week’s chart with 33.3 million streams. The only other non-holiday country song to reach the chart’s top 10 was Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’, which reached #10 earlier this year.
• Carrie Underwood – says she can’t wait to host the CMA Awards for the twelfth consecutive year on Nov. 13, this time alongside special guest hosts Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. She says: “I feel like the three of us love what we do so much, and we love country music, and it means something…to have us up there on that stage kind of driving the bus for the evening and setting the tone.”

POUR DECISIONS:
We’ve often been told that one drink per day has numerous health benefits. Well, hold that thought, because a new study says that one glass of wine a day is worse for the heart than binge drinking. Frequent but light drinkers are more likely to develop atrial fibrillation — an irregular heartbeat, which can cause shortness of breath and chest pains and raise the risk of a stroke five-fold. The study of the drinking habits of almost 10 million people found that drinking every day was the riskiest, while drinking once a week was the least risky. On the other hand, binge drinking did not show any clear link with atrial fibrillation. The leader of the study was quick to point out that binge drinking can cause many other serious health problems, and people should stick to guidelines of no more than 14 drinks per week, keeping some days alcohol free.

ANCIENT LINEAGE:
Scientists say fossils found in Morocco show that the practice of lining up may date back 480 million years. The study, from the journal “Scientific Reports” describes groups of blind trilobites, which look like modern horseshoe crabs, all facing in the same direction, and apparently maintaining contact via their long rearward spines. The researchers concluded that the arthropods probably intentionally formed a queue as they swarmed along the prehistoric sea floor as a method of protection or to find mates.
