Monthly Planning Calendar in Today’s Edition!

BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
22-year-old actress Kristen Stewart, who has rarely been seen out in public of late, was the star attraction at Paris Fashion Week yesterday, sitting front row at the Balenciaga show (an interview-free zone) . . . NBC-TV has ordered up 2 more seasons of “The Voice”, meaning judges Cee Lo Green & Christina Aguilera will be back again next Fall after Usher & Shakira give them a break in the Spring series (8,694 more episodes of talents shows – have we reached burnout?) . . . Actress Sofia Vergara tells talk show host Katie Couric she rejected her publicist’s advice to get a breast reduction when she first moved to Hollywood because ‘she didn’t want to alter God’s work’ (God gets an ‘F’ for his effort, 32F to be precise) . . . Sofia’s “Modern Family” co-star Julie Bowen has signed to front the new campaign “Get Schooled in Anaphylaxis”, likely motivated by her son going into anaphylactic shock following a bee sting as a toddler (she’s encouraging parents to get kids screened as a precaution) . . . “Jersey Shore” star Jenni ‘J-Woww’ Farley has confirmed to “In Touch” that she’s engaged to her 3-year boyfriend Roger Mathews, who proposed while they were skydiving (thereby giving her seconds to answer … 4-3-2-1) . . . Edward Norton, Eva Longoria, John Legend, Jonah Hill, Kristen Bell, and Snoop Dogg are among celebs who’ve signed up for an all-star “Words With Friends” tournament that’s designed to raise $500,000 for charity (don’t bet against Norton, he’s a Yale grad) . . . And after Simon Cowell recently called in a ‘house healer’ at the recommendation of a friend to rid his LA mansion of negative energy, he claims a couple of visitors who’ve dropped by since have mentioned the house felt ‘different, more positive’ (maybe cuz he wasn’t home?).

SO LONG, MOM & DAD:
France is set to ban the words ‘mother’ and ‘father’ from official documents under controversial plans to legalize gay marriage. The move, which has outraged Catholics, means only the word ‘parents’ would be used in identical marriage ceremonies for all heterosexual and same-sex couples. The draft law states that ‘marriage is a union of 2 people, of different or the same gender’. It says all references to mothers and fathers in the civil code – the basis of French law – will be swapped for simply ‘parents’. (Remember the Motown hit, “Parent Was a Rolling Stone” by The Temptations? No? “Parent Mia
by Abba?)

SHOOT-EM-UP:
The ultra-conservative Tea Party is getting creative with a fundraiser this weekend. Saturday the Asheville Tea Party is hosting a ‘Machine Gun Social’ at an indoor arms range in Brevard, North Carolina. Attendees who donate $25 will get to fire off a 30-round magazine on a 9 mm submachine gun of their choice – an HK MP5, an Israeli Uzi, or a Swedish I. Guests can also spend $35 for 30 rounds on an AK47, and the most ambitious of Tea Party patriots can drop $50 for 30 rounds on an M16. The money raised is going to Tea Party-endorsed political  candidates. (For a million-dollar donation, you can nuke the country of your choice.)

INSPIRATION FROM EXHAUSTION:
Surprisingly, fatigue may boost our creative powers. For most adults, problems that require open-ended thinking are often best tackled in the evening when they are tired, according to a study in the journal “Thinking & Reasoning”. Fatigue, says the study’s lead researcher, Mareike Wieth of Albion College in Michigan, may allow the mind to wander more freely to explore alternative solutions. (That’s the key to our wacky morning show … total lack of sleep.)
