BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Today the Season 1 release of the new Marvel series “Luke Cage” streams on Netflix. The series stars Mike Colter as the titular superhero, a convict-turned-crimefighter. ★ Eminem (a big Detroit Lions fan) and Fergie (a die-hard Miami Dolphins supporter) have teamed up with designers at Teespring to create a new line of NFL T-shirts. ★ Disney is developing a live-action/CGI reboot of the 1994 mega-hit animated film “The Lion King” ($969 million) with Jon Favreau as director. Just like this year’s “The Jungle Book” update, it will feature songs from the original film. Favreau directed “The Jungle Book” which has grossed $966 million worldwide so far, and is also signed on to helm a sequel “Jungle Book 2”. No further details about “The Lion King” remake have as yet been announced, but Disney does say the project is ‘on the fast track to production’.

★ And Hollywood’s biggest divorce continues to fuel the rumor mill. Latest gossip says Angelina Jolie (41) & Brad Pitt (52) were already ‘staying in their own wings” of their huge 80,000-square-foot Hollywood Hills estate before their split. An insider claims the pair – who share 6 children and were together for 12 years – were arguing progressively more frequently ahead of the break. They have a huge $400-million estate to sort out that was protected by an iron-clad pre-nup but custody of the children may cause the most difficulties.
