BS SHOW BIZ BUZZ:
★ Former WWE boss Vince McMahon has come out against the Netflix docuseries “Mr. McMahon”, ahead today’s release. In a statement posted on his X account, McMahon wrote: “The producers had an opportunity to tell an objective story about my life and the incredible business I built…Unfortunately, based on an early partial cut I’ve seen, this doc falls short and takes the predictable path of conflating the ‘Mr. McMahon’ character with my true self.” He also said: “A lot has been misrepresented or left out entirely in an effort to leave viewers intentionally confused”, and that editing tricks and “out of context footage” footage was used “to distort the viewers’ perception and support a deceptive narrative.” He then asked viewers to “remember that there are two sides to every story.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/feu3c4mj

★ Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi have signed on to star in Emerald Fennell’s anticipated “Wuthering Heights” adaptation. Robbie is set to play ‘Catherine Earnshaw’, while Elordi will portray ‘Heathcliff’. First published in 1847, the classic novel by Emily Brontë, on which the story is based, centers on the tempestuous relationship between the 2, which encompasses passion and revenge. The film is in pre-production for a UK shoot in 2025.

★ Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck showed up at their WeHo office building on Monday, along with famed divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Sources say Wasser is mediating their divorce — something that has been in the works for several months. J Lo and Ben did not have a prenup, and the 2 have been involved in multiple projects during their 2-year marriage, so things could be complicated, but sources say they are committed to keeping things “friendly”. Wasser mediated Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Garner in 2018.

★ “The Batman” director Matt Reeves has revealed that more movie and TV spin-offs are in the works. He’s currently working on the DC superhero sequel after releasing its HBO spin-off “The Penguin”, and has now teased there are “evolved” plans for future films and shows set in ‘The Batman’ universe. He also revealed he’s still planning to make a mainline trilogy in the DC universe, which would follow Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader as he becomes a full-fledged hero.

BS MUSIC NOTES:
• Lady Gaga — has been posting cryptic messages on Instagram recently, scrawled on colored backgrounds. What do they mean? Are they promos for new music? For her upcoming movie “Joker: Folie à Deux”? When ET asked, all she would say was: “It’s a secret”. The messages read: “I’m ready for my interview”, “Don’t tell me what to wear”, and “No duct tape, no mission.”
• Chappell Roan – told The Guardian that she is coping with her sudden stardom by going to therapy twice a week. Although she has been diagnosed with depression, she said she’s “not actually sad”, but does wish she could still do things like “going to the park, pilates, yoga” without security, and without being “stalked or harassed”.
• ABBA – 79-year-old Björn Ulvaeus has married for a third time. On Saturday, he and his 51-year-old Danish partner of 2 years, Christina Sas, were hitched in Copenhagen. Björn’s first wife was his ABBA bandmate Agnetha Faltskog, to whom he was married from 1971-79. They have 3 adult children.
• Scorpions – have announced they will kick off their 60th anniversary celebrations with the “2025 Coming Home To Las Vegas” residency. With special guest Buckcherry, the group has booked gigs between Feb. 27 and March 11 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.
• The Cure – will drop the new single ‘Alone’ tomorrow. It is the first release from the upcoming album “Songs of A Lost World”, out Nov. 1. It’ll be the group’s first new album in 16 years.
• Morgan Wallen — performed a to sold out hometown crowds Friday and Sunday nights in Knoxville TN, and was joined by some special guests for the occasion. Sunday, Miranda Lambert guested on the song ‘Thought You Should Know’, which she helped him write about his mother. Earlier, NFL legend Peyton Manning dusted off his old college football uniform to join Wallen for his walkout to the stage.
• Brett Eldredge – His “Glow Tour” will return this holiday season with a new name: “GLOW: Welcome to the Family Tour”. Kicking off with shows in Boston on Nov. 29 and 30, the festive trek — named after his upcoming 3rd Christmas album — will hit Philadelphia, Chicago, New York and more before wrapping in Nashville on Dec. 20. Jazz singer Stacey Ryan will be opening act.
• Shania Twain – admits she’s a little nervous about hosting tomorrow night’s People’s Choice Country Awards. Quote: “I’m not the greatest reader. I’m a very spontaneous speaker and thinker, so if I get rambling, they might have to take the hook out and get me off the stage.” She also said that she plans to “have a lot of fun.”
SHOOTING THE BULL
FLOSS SAUCE:
We’ve all heard the speech from our dental hygienist about not flossing properly. Or not flossing often enough. Or (ahem!) not flossing at all. But here’s a new spin: There’s another dental-pro-approved way to get the most from flossing – adding toothpaste to the floss before using it. Dentist and founder of Dentologie clinic Dr M has posted a viral TikTok on the subject that explains: “Adding toothpaste to your floss can prevent cavities between your teeth.” How? The caption reads: “Toothpaste on your floss increases the uptake of fluoride between your teeth, and decreases risk for decay.” The oral health company B. Weiss Health agrees, adding that the abrasion of toothpaste, in combination with the reach of floss between the teeth, is a good way to get at hard-to-reach plaque, too. Dr M has also made a video explaining how to apply the stuff to your floss, because, as you know, it has a much smaller surface area than a toothbrush. (Plus, if you add toothpaste it tastes a lot better when you’re re-using it!)
(Sounds messy. How am I supposed to do THAT while slouching on the living room couch?)

NEW TO YOU (AND ME):
⇒ Japanese food supplier Nippon Ham is selling “Boost Noodle”, a new type of instant ramen noodles designed to be consumed with one hand – by simply sucking the contents from a small pouch. The stuff was created with gamers in mind – or anyone else who wants to scarf down calories without taking a break from whatever it is they’re doing. Boost Noodle consists of a special type of yam noodles, chashu pork, menma (fermented bamboo shoots), and a mix of pork stock and seafood broths. And because its target market is gamers, each pack of Boost Noodle also contains 35 milligrams of caffeine. And no need to heat the stuff – it’s ready to eat, right from the pouch! (Wow! They finally found a way to make ramen noodles ever grosser! Or should that be more gross?) LINK: https://youtu.be/pOKi_IjRpf8
⇒ A company has developed a type of pants that come with a built-in exoskeleton powered by powerful motors — that can increase the wearer’s leg strength by 40%, and make them feel 30 pounds lighter. The Arc’tryx MO/GO Hiking Pants (MO/GO is short for ‘mountain goat’) come with carbon fiber support structures that feed power from AI-controlled motors at the knees to the wearer’s leg muscles during ascents, and decreasing pressure on their knees during descents. The pants, which looks like regular khakis with an outside brace on each leg, are designed to make hiking more accessible to people who may not have the endurance for it. The motors located on the side of the knees are powered by a battery pack around the waist. The battery recharges automatically while the wearer is walking downhill. THINGS NOT “TO-DO” TODAY:
Some mental health professionals are suggesting to patients that in today’s busy world, instead of constantly creating and updating a never-ending series of “to-do” lists, we should try making “to-don’t” lists. Rachel Botsman of Oxford University, is credited for coming up with the idea. While the process of creating a “to-do” list — sitting down and writing out goals, tasks, or objectives – can be lead to valuable neurological orientation, the same principle apparently works in reverse. Taking time to write out the overburdening and non-essential activities that clog up our days might help you realize just how non-essential or not time-sensitive some tasks are. One psychologist pointed out that even though we only have so much time each day, we always seem to be adding more things to our “to-do list”, in hopes that it will get us ahead. The whole idea is to identify the things that are draining you, that you can either stop doing, or delegate. A few examples that ABC AU reporter Emily McGrorey put on her “to-don’t” list after doing a report on the concept:
• Don’t schedule meetings between 8am and 11am.
• Put casual clothes on a non-wrinkle tumble dry cycle rather than ironing them.
• Don’t wash dishes or clothes every day of the week, but every other day.
(Yeah! And when I only shave every 3 or 4 days, I’m not being lazy, it’s just part of my “to-don’t” list!)
(What are some “to-dos” that you could put on your “to-don’t” list?)

BIZARRE GARDENING HACKS:

2. Using egg shells as fertilizer
3. Growing new fruit/vegetables from leftover vegetable roots/seeds
4. Talking to my plants
5. Using banana peels as fertilizer
6. Throwing used teabags onto the soil
7. Using ash from the fireplace as fertilizer
8. Sprinkling cayenne pepper to ward off pests
9. Using baking soda to make the soil more alkaline
10. Singing to my plants
11. Sprinkling cinnamon on the ground to deter cats
12. Using fish heads as fertilizer
13. Using potato water to water plants

DID YOU KNOW?
If your child is a picky eater, you might have yourself to blame. A new study by British researchers found that food fussiness in children is “a largely genetic trait,” while other factors, such as the types of foods eaten at home and where meals are eaten, may only be significant when the child is a toddler. The research also found that food pickiness tends to peak when a child is 7 years old, often declining slightly as they enter adolescence. The study found that environmental factors can, however, have an impact on a child’s food pickiness when they are a toddler. This means that early interventions to help them learn to eat a wider range of food could reduce their pickiness in the future. (Trust me – it won’t work!)
